(ENDED) Sony RX100 V drops $948 to $956

As of a late 10/30/16 update of the Stock Status Tracker, the discount almost ended (it is $979 by Cardinal Photo, not Prime eligible). Alternately you can get it with a handful of free accessories for $1000 by Cameta thru eBay.

ORIGINAL POST: We just updated the Stock Status Tracker and we have some interesting news for fans of the Sony RX100 V, a discount! It looks like it may be a computer-generated price-match, so it may (or may not) last long. Amazon itself offers it for $956 while 3rd-party seller Cardinal Photo has it for $948 with free shipping (but not Prime eligible).

UPDATE: the Cameta eBay store is bundling a handful of free accessories for the same price (64GB Transcend SDXC, extra 3rd-party charger and battery, trinkety accessories, 1-year Outdoor Photographer (prepaid subscription voucher), free 4×6″ York Prints, etc).

ORIGINAL POST: The estimates were correct for the Sony RX100 V, the camera is now in-stock and shipping at multiple retailers as you can see at the just-updated Stock Status Tracker. This includes many of the major retailers including Amazon and Adorama and B&H Photo.

Wednesday: Sony RX100 III and $50 Gift Card for $750

The Sony RX100 III currently goes for $750 at authorized Sony dealers, but as one of the daily deals at the Best Buy website you can get it bundled with a $50 Best Buy gift card…

If you don’t want to deal with Best Buy, it is available in open-box condition for $679 + shipping at B&H Photo, however, Best Buy may have it in open-box condition for $600. Click on the open box link at the Best Buy page to check availability. No gift card for the open-box.

PS: the latest model is the RX100 Mark V which is scheduled to be released by the end of the month (see bottom row in the Stock Status Tracker).

Pre-order Sony RX100 V for $1000

Sony switched to an Apple style two-step announcement, with the pre-orders coming in Step #2 of the whole song and dance. Which brings us to step #2, the new Sony RX100 Mark V Compact-with-RAW (1″ sensor, 24-70mm eq f1.8-2.8 Zeiss-blessed lens) is now available for pre-order for $1000 at B&H Photo and Adorama and Amazon by Amazon itself. The release estimate is somewhere between October 14-28 in 2016.

(ENDED) Canon G7 X II drops to $599

As of a 10/4/16 recheck, the price returned to $700… We just updated the Stock Tracking page and we have an interesting development for the Canon G7 X II, it is down $100, going for $599 with free shipping at Amazon by Amazon itself. The starting price of this is $700. The shipping estimate however is a very non-specific “1-2 months” so if you need it by a specific date/event, keep that in mind. The limit is the same 30 per customer, so I don’t know if this is a sale or their price-computers accidentally price-matched one of the 3rd-party sellers.

In-Stock again: Canon G7 X II with 1TB CS100 for $769

Canon G7X II with Canon ConnectStation CS100 drops to $769

The Canon G7X II goes for $700 as the standard kit and it is in-stock at some retailers [see Stock Tracking page], but there’s a new discount on the bundle that comes with the 1TB Canon ConnectStation CS100, it is now going for $769 with free shipping and it is in-stock as of the time of writing. You start at the Adorama G7X II product page, then expand the yellow “Special Offer” section, and find the CS100 bundle option. Canon G7 X II with Canon CS100 Connect Station for $800

We just updated the Stock Tracking page and we have good news for Canon G7 X II fans. The camera is now in-stock at more retailers for its starting price of $700, but that’s not all. If you also want to get the Canon CS100 Connect Station Kit
(1TB, Wifi, NFC, etc), the G7 X II with the CS100 are bundled together as a kit for $800 with free shipping at B&H Photo. On its own, the Canon CS100 goes for $220+ at authorized dealers.

In-stock now: Canon G7X II for $700

The Canon G7 X Mark II continues to be out of stock at the big three (Amazon, Adorama, B&H Photo) but some other authorized Canon USA dealers have it in-stock at the moment for its starting price $700. We updated the Stock Status Tracking page with them added to the mix. As of the time of writing, the ones having it in-stock for $700 are: Kenmore Camera (eBay) and Norman Camera (eBaY) and Abt Electronics and Cameta Camera.

Of the other three cameras tracked, the Sony RX10 III continues to be steadily in-stock, while the Canon 5D Mark IV and Fuji X-T2 kits are in-and-out depending on when you look…

Used Sony RX10 II for $1387 [was $1313]

We just updated the new Stock Status Tracking page and we have a new development for the Sony RX10 II. It is available in “Used – Very Good” condition for $1387 [was $1313~] by Amazon Warehouse Deals itself, the used arm of Amazon. They offer a 30-day return policy but there is no manufacturer warranty… On the other hand if you prefer it i new condition, it is now in-stock for $1600 at both Adorama and B&H Photo… Price updated 9/9/16 [it flipped again]…

Meanwhile both the Fuji X-T2 and the Canon 5D Mark IV have September 8 release estimates, so they should be coming out soon. They are both tracked in the new Stock Status Tracking page.

Panasonic ZS100 Silver drops to $593

Zoom-zoom the whole world begins to zoom as the silver color scheme of the Panasonic ZS100 superzoom with RAW is down to $593 with free shipping instead of its usual price of $700 at Amazon by Amazon herself. This is not part of the lightning deals, so it could last somewhere between nanoseconds and eternity (in other words, I don’t know when the price will change ~ or if it will change).

Pre-order 3/31/16: Sony RX10 III for $1500

Time sure does fly, we now have the third generation of the Sony RX10 1-inch RAWzoomer fixed lens camera, with a 24-600mm f2.4-4 Zeiss blessed lens (on a 1″ sensor). This new camera will be available for pre-ordering on March 31st at 11am eastern for $1500. So far it has been listed at the B&H Photo website. Sony continues with their new two-step announcement process. This has been added to the New Cameras of 2016 tracking page.

Sigma DP3 Quattro and $28 Rewards for $699
