Monday: 128GB PNY SDXC for $20, 256GB Sandisk microSDXC for $42, Etc

Monday also brings on some on-topic action at the Best Buy dailies with the following potentially interesting items:

+ 256GB Sandisk Ultra Plus microSDXC for $42

+ 128GB PNY Elite Performance SDXC for $20

+ 10,000 maH Insignia powerbank for $15

+ 33-pack battery storage box with assorted sizes for $12

+ Dell: 24″ LED FHD monitor for $150, Inspiron 2-in-1 13.3″ Ryzen-5 [sounds like a space colony name?] SSD laptop for $450

Sunday: Sandisk storage, Manfrotto NX, Lowepro/Joby combo

Lots of camera and photo related action in the Sunday Best Buy dailies including:

+ Sandisk storage sale with 11 options including SSD, WD HDDs, flash drives and iXpand

+ Manfrotto NX Camera Backpack for $30
+ not related to the ill-fated Samsung NX camera system

+ Lowepro Format 160 camera bag with Joby GorillaPod, together for ever and ever to part for $30

+ Corel Draw Home and Student Suite 2019 (Windows) for $70

Thursday: WD, Sandisk, Tamrac Stratus 10 Shoulder for $85

The headliner of the Thursday Best Buy dailies is a WD x Sandisk storage sale featuring among others a 1TB WD USB 3.0 external HDD for $45, 4TB WD Easystore external for $90, internal HDDs, and Sandisk SSDs and single-figure colorful USB 2.0 flash drives too.

But that’s not all, they also feature separately the new condition Tamrac Stratus 10 shoulder bag for $85 with free US shipping and/or free store pickup where possible…

PS: speaking of deals, retailers often (ab)use the “Christmas in July” theme but once in a while a “Christmas in July” sale-a-bration is “Christmas canon” (as Comic Con canon-obsessed fans like to say). Such is the case with this Monoprice sale which is full of Christmas lights and ornaments and stockings and stocking stuffers 🙂

Sandisk Ultra Fit USB 3.1 Flash Drive: 64GB for $9, 128GB for $18, 256GB for $30

It’s hard not to find uses for USB flash drives these days (although USB-C and Lightning adapters may be necessary in certain cases). If that is so, there’s an organic sale again of the new condition Sandisk Ultra Fit USB 3.1 flash drives going for $9 in the 64GB option, $18 in the 128GB option and the bang for the buck is $30 in the 256GB option.

Of these, the 128GB ships almost right away, while the 64GB is TOOS (temporarily out of stock), while the 256GB has an August 7 shipment estimate. Amazon tends to be on the conservative side of estimates, but that’s not a guarantee they’ll arrive on time or earlier ~ many things can happen that delay the arrival of something that should have been there earlier (from driver flat tires to confused new hires who can’t find your home or apartment). So if you have a hard deadline (eg the plane leaves at 9pm tomorrow) keep that in mind…

There is a limit of up to three per customer. Not sure if it’s three per storage option or three overall. I have a trio of these and they have performed quite well ~ one of them was permanently used as the “hard drive” of one of those $30 OTA basic DVRs.

This is not a lightning deal so the price can (or cannot) change at any time…

Tuesday: 128GB Sandisk Ultra Plus SDXC or microSD for $25 each

Among the Tuesday Best Buy daily deals you can get the 128GB Sandisk Ultra PLUS memory cards for $25 each , in your choice of SDXC or microSDXC… I don’t recall the difference between the PLUS and the non-PLUS models…

Prime Day 2019 Storage Sales: WD, Sandisk, Seagate, Samsung

Sandisk and their new WD overlords are having their own sale box in the Amazon Prime Day 2019 deals. Among the many items in the Sandisk and WD Storage sale:

+ 128GB Extreme SDXC for $24, 256GB for $48, 64GB for $13.59

+ microSD Ultra: 128GB for $20, 256GB for $30, 400GB for $45, 512GB for $100

+ microSD Extreme: 1TB for $341, 512GB for $136, 256GB for $43

+ various internal and external WD hard drives and some G-Technology “Armor” as well
+ Sandisk SSDs

+ flash drives including the 128GB Ultra Fit USB 3.1 Type A for $15, the 256GB for $30

+ also part of the sale is the new-ish Sandisk iBi Photo Manager thing going for $120

BUT that’s not all. There is a second block with Storage Sales that features various other brands but with similar products as mentioned above. They include:

+ 32GB Samsung microSD EVO Select for $5.50
+ 64GB PNY SDXC Elite Performance for $12
+ 512GB Lexar 633x microSDXC for $52
+ LaCie rugged external hard drives
+ Seagate external and internal hard drives
+ Synology 2-bay NAS for $119, 4-bay for $467
+ flash drives, and more

Tuesday: Two 32GB Sandisk Ultra microSD cards for $7 [Prime] or $12

Amazon’s “Prime Day” [which is really “Prime Month” ~ sprawling like the Black Friday and Christmas holiday sales do] expands to Woot as well, where one of their Tuesday 7/9/19 deals of the day is the 2-pack of 32GB Sandisk Ultra microSD cards (UHS-I, C10, adapter) going for $12 per 2-pack…

BUT if you are a Prime member and your Woot account is connected to your Amazon Prime account (a one-time thing), then the price will automatically drop to $7 in the shopping cart. Not bad for $3.50 for a 32GB name-brand microSD card 🙂

The offer is limited one 2-pack per customer. Per the listing, the cards get a 90-day Woot warranty. Not sure why there’s no Sandisk warranty. Mayhaps it’s the price or Amazon sourced them from elsewhere in order to offer them at this low price?

Monday: 64GB Sandisk Ultra Plus for $15 (SD and/or microSD)

Sandisk returns to the Monday Best Buy dailies with 64GB cards, going for $15 each: the Ultra Plus SDXC (UHS-I, C10, etc) and/or the Ultra Plus microSDXC… Also part of the Monday dailies is a 48-pack of Insignia single-use AA or AAA batteries going for $9.49 per 48-pack…

There’s some potentially interesting Woot action as well for Monday:

+ scratch and dent iPhones for $100 to $650 at the main Woot
+ Rocketbooks $30 to $44 at “Electronics”
+ Kindle Paperwhite (2016 model) for $70 in “Computers” (new with 1-year warranty)

Monday: Storage (microSD, HDD) and Laptops and Etc sale

Name-brand technology makes a comeback at the Monday 6/24/19 Amazon Gold Box deals du jour. This set is good until 11:59pm Pacific time [or earlier for anything that sells out earlier on]. You can buy up to two of each individual item per shopping cart.

We start with storage, of the microSD kind:

+ 200GB Sandisk ULTRA microSDXC (C10. A1, UHS-I) for $24

+ Sandisk Extreme microSD bundled with Sandisk USB 3.0 microSD card reader: 64GB for $23, 128GB for $30, 256GB for $54

Then we have one flash drive, the 256GB “Dual Drive” (one side USB regular size, the other microUSB) going for just under $33.

On the hard drive side of things, there’s a 3TB WD for $83, and a 6TB Seagate desktop style with two USB ports for $100.

And then there are laptops, five Windows laptops from Dell and Alienware ($335 to $1515) and one ASUS Chromebook (Flip C101PA-DS04, 10.1″, Rockchip, 4GB RAM, 32GB on-board, one USB-A and two USB-C ports , microSD slot, Google Play, 360-degree touchscreen, 1280×800, 2 lbs, etc) for $279.

But that’s not all – there’s networking gear, gaming accessories, and the Wacom One graphics tablet for $50…

Tuesday: another Sandisk/WD sale includes SD, microSD, Etc

IF you are a fan of the Sandisk and WD storage brands, you are in luck because the headliner deal of the day for Tuesday 4/18/19 at the Best Buy daily deals is a Sandisk and Western Digital storage sale featuring select external hard drives, SSDs, flash drives and memory cards from their respective line-ups…

Of card interest, the 64GB Sandisk Extreme Plus V30 UHS-I U3 C10 goes for $18, while the 128GB version goes for $30. They also offer these in microSD for the same price at the same capacities. And they also offer them at the same price/capacity combo with the “for Nintendo Switch” branding.

Free with the purchase is the customary Best Buy gift, $25 to spend towards an 8×8 inch custom photo book at Shutterfly. This is not cash but essentially a coupon off a specific purchase…

400GB Sandisk Ultra microSDXC for $55 [limit 4]

If you are in the market for a 400GB microSDXC memory card, the new condition Sandisk Ultra UHS-I Class 10 A1 with a full size SD adapter is currently on sale for the very specific price of $54.60 with free US shipping by Amazon itself with up to four per customer at the sale price. This is not a lightning deal, so expiration time is unknown…

Friday: 64GB Sandisk Extreme microSDXC for $20

Storage is the word of the day for Monday. In addition to the previously mentioned B&H storage dailies, we find the return of the WD x Sandisk sale at the Amazon USA Gold Box running until 11:59pm pacific (or earlier for any that may sell out ahead of time)…

256GB Sandisk Ultra Fit USB 3.1 Flash Drive for 40 euro or $44

USB flash drives are one way for a quick backup, especially when you are not in the comforts of your home, office or studio. With storage prices dropping, higher capacities are slowly but steadily becoming more affordable. Which brings us to the 256GB Sandisk Ultra Fit USB 3.1 Type A flash drives. These are really thumb-size, so care must be taken not to be lost, but they don’t take up a lot of space and you can store a lot on them.

It is currently on sale for 40 euro at Amazon Germany and for $44 by Amazon USA and Adorama and B&H Photo with free US shipping…

If you prefer the yellow “up to 150MB/sec) Sandisk Extreme SDXC memory cards, the 256GB option is currently on sale for $58 by Amazon itself. This is not a lightning deal, so the price can fluctuate or stay the same as time goes by… It currently defeats both the 128GB and 64GB versions in GB/$…

Sale ends on Thursday at 3am eastern or earlier for any that may sell out ahead of time… Happy memory non-noming 🙂

EU: [SDXC]: 128GB Ultra for 20e, 64GB Extreme for 16e, [microSDXC]: 128GB Samsung for 23e

Another wave of price drops in name-brand memory card prices at Amazon Germany, with the following low prices as of the time of writing:

+ 64GB Sandisk Extreme SDXC for 16 euro

+ 128GB Sandisk Ultra SDXC for 20 euro

+ 128GB Samsung EVO Select microSDXC for 23 euro

+ the above three have a limit of up to five cards of each option per shopping cart

With more memory cards added to the arsenal, more memory card readers are not a bad idea, this USB-mountable Transcend RDF5 USB 3.0 card reader is back down to 7 euro in the black color scheme. It has two dedicated slots, one for SD* and one for microSD*…

400GB Sandisk Ultra microSDXC (C10, A1) for $79

If your cameras or action cameras or smartphones or other devices take 400GB memory cards, as of the time of writing, Amazon herself is offering the new condition 400GB Sandisk Ultra micro SDXC (C10, A1) for $79 with free shipping. You can buy as many as you like [technically the limit is 20 but that’s more than enough for most people].

EU: 128GB Sandisk Ultra SDXC for 20 euro

Amazon Germany is back with more Sandisk memory card sales! These are limited time offers but they are not tied to the daily deals [which occur in the German time zone], so the expiration date/time is unknown to me…

We start with the SDXC memory cards, their new condition 128GB Ultra SDXC (C10, UHS-I, up to 80MB/sec) is on sale for just 20 euro. This is sold and shipped by Amazon itself and it is available in your choice of frustration-free packaging or standard packaging. The limit is up to five per customer at the sale price. Not sure if you can buy five of each packaging, or five total.

Next up we move to the microSD cards. The new condition 200GB Ultra microSDXC (A1, C10, U1) goes for 33 euro with up to five per customer. This defeats the 128GB for 23 euro in terms of $/GB. You pay less than 50% more, but you get more than 50% in extra storage…

Or if you can to solve for a lower price, the new condition 128GB Transcend microSDXC (C10, UHS-I) goes for the very specific price of 18.79 euro per customer…

MicroSD is not just for smartphones any more as the number of digital cameras (including a few iLCs eg Panasonic GX800) take the microSD cards. Most of them include full-size SD adapters, or you probably already have a drawer full of them from previous memory card purchases…

200GB Sandisk Ultra microSDXC for 36 euro or $38

Memory card prices are on the downward trend, which brings us to the new condition 200GB Sandisk Ultra microSDXC memory card (A1, U1, C10, with adapter) going for 36 euro at Amazon Germany in your choice of Frustration free packaging or standard packaging, with up to five per option per customer at the sale price. They are on different listings at the moment.

But this is also sale at Amazon USA where it goes for $38 with free shipping. You can buy as many as you like at this price.

These are organic or manufacturer-initiated sales, they are not lightning deals, so expiration time is unknown (to me)…

We’ve certainly come a long way in storage prices. I remember paying more for Smartmedia memory card a few camera cycles ago ^_^

EU: 256GB Sandisk Extreme PRO SDXC (U3, V30, UHS-I, C10) for 60 euro

Amazon Germany is back with another Sandisk sale, this time the theme is 256GB memory cards and storage as follows:

+ 256GB Extreme PRO UHS-I U3 V30 C10 for 60 euro
+ 256GB Ultra for 45 euro
+ 256GB Cruzer Ultra Fit flash drive for 45
+ 480GB Internal SSD Plus III for 58 euro

This is a limited time sale but not a lightning deal, so expiration time is unknown…

EU: 64GB Sandisk Extreme SDXC (V30, U3) for 15 euro

While price-checking yesterday’s post, a bang for the buck option surfaced, it’s part of a Sandisk sale at Amazon Germany {not a lightning deal, so expiration time unknown) that has the new condition 64GB Sandisk Extreme SDXC card going for 15 euro and you can buy as many as you like. This is NOT a PRO version but it is V30, U3, C10, etc.

Once again, in a turn of conventional wisdom, Amazon Germany defeats the Amazon USA website where it goes for just under $20; however the 128GB goes for $35 in the USA Amazon but 36 euro at Amazon Allemagne…

EU: 256GB Sandisk Extreme PRO V30 SDXC for 60 euro

This is not a lightning deal, so I have no clue when the sale ends, but as of the time of writing, Amazon Germany is offering the new condition 256GB Sandisk Extreme PRO SDXC card (U3, V30, C10, up to 95MB/s) for 60 euro with free shipping in Germany. Limit up to five per customer at the sale price. This price currently soundly defeats the other storage options in this line…

In contrast this card goes for $88 at Amazon USA

UPDATE: this is part of a Sandisk sale (not a lightning deal) at Amazon Germany that also has the 512GB version of the PRO card going for 170 euro {that’s the premium of being the highest capacity available).

128GB Sandisk Extreme PRO SDXC (V30, UHS-I) for $58.50 [or 2-pack for $116]

Coupon code SALE3 as we mentioned earlier today is a 10% off Groupon Goods until Friday night. This means the 128GB Sandisk Extreme PRO SDXC (V30, UHS-I, C10) drops to $58.50, the 64GB version drops to $35~ and the 32GB version drops to $22.50. Each one of these options also has a 2-pack option which is about $1-$2 less than buying two 1-packs. So if you need cards in multiples of 2, you can get slightly better prices buying the 2-packs (and you can get more of them as well). Free shipping for $34.99+ orders.

In comparison, Amazon itself’s prices are $61, $36.52 and $21.40. Free shipping for Prime or $25+ orders.

PS: I don’t remember my Groupon password (SAD!) so I haven’t tested it this time. I’m assuming it should work… UPDATE: it does work!

64GB Samsung EVO Select microSDXC returns to $20

If you are a fan of the Samsung green-gray (“EVO Select”) microSD cards, their 64GB UHS-3 card has oscillated back down to $20 at Amazon by Amazon itself with up to ten per customer at the sale price. It comes with a full SD adapter. The 128GB goes for $40, and these two “defeat” the 256GB and 32GB options in this line in $/GB.

On the other hand if you are a fan of the Sandisk, their 64GB Ultra microSDXC [CORRECTED LINK!] UHS-I A1 also goes for $20, so price is a wash, you can decide on the merits of each card. Their 128GB goes for $39 which actually defeats in $/GB their 200GB Ultra microSDXC which goes for $65. [MATH CORRECTED]

None of these are lightning deals, so expiration time is unknown…

The new condition 200GB Sandisk Ultra microSDXC card of the A1 and UHS-I kind is currently on sale for $65 with free shipping at Amazon by Amazon itself and by NewEgg itself and by NewEgg Business.

This currently “defeats” the other cards in its line in $/GB. The 128GB card goes for $40, while the 256GB goes for $99 and the 400GB goes for $180 which is a sale if you are fond of all-eggs-in-one-storage-basket.

16GB Sandisk Cruzer Blade CZ50 USB 2.0 Flash for $6.49 w/FS

Back to the eBay Deals with a doorbuster of sorts, the new condition 16GB Sandisk Cruzer Blade CZ50 USB 2.0 Flash Drive is on sale for $6.49 with free shipping, with a maximum of three per customer. This is sold by eBay seller “refurbforless” (97.8%), shipping from California. Of interest especially if you have expiring eBay Bucks and such that you don’t want to expire unused.

128GB Sandisk Extreme PRO UHS-I U3 V30 SDXC for $62 w/FS

A 3rd-party seller has triggered an automated price-match for the 128GB Sandisk Extreme PRO UHS-I U3 V30 SDXC card for $62 at Amazon by Amazon itself. This goes for $65 elsewhere. This is a small discount but these are very solid cards and Sandisk knows that, so they are not getting doorbuster discounts. To cut a long story short, if you happen to need to buy them now, it’s a good price. If not, you can always wait…

PS: it should go without saying, when buying memory cards at Amazon, make sure you check who the seller is, and also that you are getting the correct model. Some of the names are too confusing and can be easily mistaken. This card is a UHS-I, but if your camera does not support UHS-II cards, you can save big with UHS-I cards.
