Refurbished Olympus SP-100 Superzoom (50x) for $187 [and more additions]

The Prime Day coupon expired at the Get Olympus store but it looks like they have some more additions, including another blast from the bast fixed lens digital camera, it is the factory reconditioned Olympus Stylus SP-100 for $187~ with free shipping. This is a 50x optical zoom, with a 90-day Olympus repair warranty, and 30-day return policy.

Some more cameras and/or lenses and/or accessories got added but I’m hazy post-PrimeDay as to which ones were not there before 🙂

There is a nice choice of Prime lenses there, and if you are not afraid of silver lenses, the factory reconditioned Olympus 45mm f1.8 goes for $200, $40 less than the black color scheme. So one could build a prime lens arsenal by going refurbished instead of buying only one or two in new condition.

PS: occasionally they drop Four Thirds (DSLR) gear in there, so if you are interested in M43rds, to be on the safe side, make sure check that the lenses you buy are “M.Zuiko”. This also serves as a memo to self to remember to check before I post 🙂

Olympus 12-40mm f2.8 with $32 Rewards for $800 [M43]

After the Prime Day madness I will be making adjustments so I can better track the various Camera and Lens Instant Savings promotions. The July 2017 Price Charts were the first step. Until then, it’s helter skelter…

… which brings us to the Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-40mm f/2.8 PRO lens going for $800 with free expedited shipping at B&H Photo along with 4% promotional rewards ($32~ to be spent in the future at B&H).

If you want to get a “take pictures with” Micro Four Thirds kit with an intermediate level type of a camera, and want something in-between used and new-condition, the official Olympus factory reconditioned store is offering the silver color scheme of the factory reconditioned Olympus E-M5 with 12-50mm EZ for $400 with a 90-day Olympus USA warranty. The IN (Fuji X-T2, Canon 77D, Olympus E-M1 II) and OUT (Panasonic GH5) Report

With taxes finally done (don’t forget, Tuesday is the deadline for both the 2016 Tax Year and the first quarterly payment estimate for 2017), it is time to focus (pun intended) on the Stock Status Tracker. The bad news first, the Panasonic GH5 is out of stock at all the retailers I checked. The rest of the cameras tracked are good news for availability (bad news for your tax refund and/or wallet).

The Fuji X-T2 body only is back in-stock at Amazon by Amazon itself and a couple of 3rd-party sellers over there. The Prime-only restrictions are only for items sold and shipped by Amazon itself. 3rd-party sellers are happy to sell to anyone and everyone willing to pay 🙂 It is also in-stock at B&H Photo but note that orders will ship April 19+ even if you select overnight shipping!

The Canon 77D has been steadily in-stock every time I checked, the BuyDig bundle with a handful of accessories (3rd-party flash, converter lenses, filters ,bag, 64GB card, remote, and the usual assortment of trinkets (card reader, cleaning kit, microfiber cloth, air blower) included for the same price of $900.

+ USED (Demo Condition) for $1859 + S&H at Adorama

+ USED (Like New Condition) for $1879 by Cardinal (via Amazon)

+ NEW CONDITION but you can negotiate using eBay’s Built-In and Blessed “Best Offer” process by Pixel Connection (starting price is $2000)

Adorama offers combined purchase discounts with the Olympus E-M1 II as well

We mentioned in detail the Olympus E-M1 II combined purchase discounts at Amazon, but Amazon is not the only one offering these. You can also get them at Adorama. Start at the E-M1 II product page and expand the yellow “Special Offer” area to see all the options.

System Switch Temptation: Buy Olympus M43rds Camera, Get Combined Purchase Stackable Discounts on UP TO Nine Olympus M43 Lenses

If you are thinking of switching to Micro Four Thirds or making a big lens purchase, there is a hot new combined purchase promotion at Amazon that offers stackable combined purchase discounts if you buy one of select cameras and up to nine different participating M43rds lenses.

Here is a screenshot of the shopping cart with one eligible Olympus M43rds camera (E-M5 II body) and the nine different Olympus eligible M43rds lenses. As you can see, there are nine different discounts, one for each lens. You can buy anywhere from one to nine lenses, and get a discount for each lens ~ purchased together with an eligible camera.

NOTE: ALL items must be sold and shipped by Amazon itself, NOT by 3rd-party sellers if you want to get ALL the combined purchase discounts!

Buy One Of These Eligible Cameras

+ Olympus E-PL8 (all the colors and kit options are eligible, $550 to $650; six options)
+ Olympus E-M5 II body (black) for $900
+ Olympus E-M5 II body (silver) for $900
+ Olympus E-M1 body (black) for $1100
+ Olympus PEN-F Body (black) for $1200

+ $100 OFF Olympus 25mm f1.8 (Black)
+ $100 OFF Olympus 30mm f3.5 MACRO

Even though two of the above lenses are available in two different colors, for the purpose of this promotion, they count as separate lenses, they each get a discount.

What DOESN’T WORK

+ items NOT sold by Amazon itself
+ buying more than one camera body in the same shopping cart won’t give you additional discounts
+ buying multiple units of the same camera won’t give you additional discounts
+ buying multiple units of the same lens won’t give you additional discounts (but the silver and black colors of the eligible lenses count as separate lenses for the sake of this promotion, so you can get one of each color)

A brand new Olympus M43rds Trade-In Promotion is now Live at B&H Photo. Use promo code TRADENTIME to get $200 off each item from the list shown there when you trade-in any camera or lens for it. Maximum bonus savings $800. The promotion runs until 5/6/17. The promotional page outlines the three step process:
