Back to the eBay Deals we go, where the Best Buy eBay store is offering the 256GB Sandisk Ultra USB 3.0 Flash Drive, model SDCZ48-256G-A46, for $45 with free shipping or store pickup. Limit two units per customer.
One of Best Buy’s daily deals is a Sandisk Ultra sale, but their sale prices are handily defeated by the current prices elsewhere. The 32GB SanDisk Ultra Class 10 SDHC UHS-I Memory Card Up to 80MB, Grey/Black (SDSDUNC-032G-GN6IN) is on sale for $11 at Walmart by Walmart itself with free store pickup or free shipping with a $50+ order or if you are a member of their Prime-like service.
PS: in terms of $/GB, the 64GB version goes for $20. Storage prices have fallen so far where the product and material overhead is becoming a bigger factor than the cost of actual storage (which is partially why even higher capacities can sell for less per GB than lower ones).
Another “live fish” in today’s Lightning Deals of the Amazon Gold Box, good until Friday 12:19am ET you can get the 64GB SanDisk Extreme PLUS SDXC UHS-I/U3 Memory Card Up to 90MB/s Read (SDSDXSF-064G-GNCIN for $56.51 with free shipping (the price before the sale was $77 last night). Non-Prime members can buy it starting at 6:49pm ET.
The lightning deals after le jump expired…
A bit of a memory card doorbuster (since it gets free shipping), it is the 32GB Lexar Professional Class 10 UHS-I U1 633x SDHC Memory Card (Up to 95MB/s Read, Up to 20MB/s Write) going for $10 with free shipping at Adorama. You can buy as many as you like at this price… For more action, check their New Years Sale…
Speaking of storage-related items, Amazon itself offers this 128GB SanDisk CZ48 USB 3.0 Flash drive (model SDCZ48-128G-U46) for the very specific price of $24.31. This is not a lightning deal.
Speaking of Amazon, if you are close to the $25+/$49+ limits, $2 is all it takes to get the new condition “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” DVD. Not sure how they can afford to sell it for $2 and not even have a quantity-limit per customer. But what do I know? I’m just a blogflower 😉
And now a mini storage round-up. If you need a 500GB external hard drive that comes with its own carrying case, B&H Photo is offering the 500GB HGST Touro S Ultra-Portable External Hard Drive (Gold) plus an HGST carrying case for $34 with free shipping and handling. Limit up to four per customer. This is a limited time sale (expiration date not mentioned).
If you need USB storage but don’t need speed, the 128GB SanDisk Cruzer Glide CZ60 USB 2.0 flash drive (SDCZ60-128G-B35) at Amazon by Amazon itself (limit up to five per customer).
If you are looking for a Samsung microSD card, their 32GB Samsung 80MB/s EVO Select Micro SDHC Memory Card (MB-ME32DA/AM) goes for $10 with a limit of up to three per customer by Amazon itself.
The prices of USB flash drives continue to drop, for example, for $50 with free shipping you can get this 256GB Sandisk Ultra USB 3.0 Flash Drive (SDCZ48-256G-A46) at Amazon by Amazon itself with a limit of up to three per customer. This is not a lightning deal.

Speaking of storage, B&H Photo has a sale of Sandisk cards (SD and microSD) with ExtremePLUS SDHC cards going for $13, $18, and $40 respectively (16GB, 32GB, 64GB). Five options total.
B&H is also running a sale of Lexar USB flash drives going from $8 to $50 and 32GB to 256GB (seven options).
UPDATE: here’s another storage option, the 64GB Centon Electronics USB Drives (S1-U3P6-64GB) goes for $13.49 with a limit of three units per customer. It is currently “TOOS” but orderable.
If you are a fan of Toshiba storage, trending at the Trending eBay Deals, eBay seller “RefurbForLess” (98.7%, California) is offering new condition 64GB Toshiba U362 USB 3.0 Retractable Flash Drive for $13.50 with free shipping. Limit up to fifty units per customer. Over 2750 units sold so far from this listing.
PRO BUSINESS TIP: don’t put “used” or “refurb” in your store’s name if you plan to also sell new condition items 🙂
This sold out… It went very quickly to 100% claimed and eventually ran out… That’s the problem with lightning deals, if it’s too good, it sells out very quickly…
The 64GB Sandisk Extreme SDXC 90MB/S C10 Flash Memory Card (model SDSDXNE-064G-ANCIN) is a lightning deal for $21.50 at Amazon, and as of 7:14pm ET, it is 100% claimed. You can join the Waiting List for a chance to get it. It started at 6:55pm ET. People have 15 minutes to complete a purchase after they add it to their shopping cart. For every person that does not buy it, the first person in the Waiting List gets his/her 15 minutes chance. This continues until either they run out of available quantity for the promotion, or the promotion expires. This looks like it will sell out long before its official expiration time.
This Friday lightning deal expired…

Limit up to ten 2-packs per customer… In terms of bang for the buck, the 2pk of 64GB cards goes for $33, and the 2pk of 128GB cards goes for $65… These “defeat” the 1-packs in price at each size, which is as it should be expected with “volume buy”… The usual free shipping terms apply… Some of them are “temporarily out of stock” but you can purchase them if you like the price…
If you are using a big browser window, you may see them all expanded with their prices in their own boxes. If you are using a smaller window, or depending on whatever other factors the Amazon servers use to decide which web format to use/experiment upon, you may see a more compact display with pull-down menus or sidebar options or who knows what else 🙂
The price for PoNY rides increased three fold as of a 12/12/16 recheck. In other words, this deal is dead as a doornail…

In addition to the previously mentioned under the radar Lexar sales at Amazon for Tuesday, there is a sale on the 256GB Lexar USB 3.0 flash drive (model LJDS75-256ABNL) for $49 that is either manufacturer-initiated or a series of cascading price-matches at Adorama and B&H Photo and Office Depot (one way to spend any available/remaining/expiring ODP rewards) and Amazon itself.
These daily deals expired…
If you like to transfer/backup files between phones/tablets and computers and other full-size USB devices, the 64GB PNY DUO-LINK USB 3.0 OTG Flash Drive is on sale for $15 with a limit of up to ten per customer at Amazon by Amazon itself. On the same listing you will also find the 128GB version for $30, with the same limit of up to ten per customer.
This has two connectors, a full-size USB 3.0, along with a micro-USB on the other end. It supports USB OTG, so as long as your phone/tablet supports this in both hardware and software/firmware, you should be able to connect to it from either device. As far as I know, you can’t use as a “land bridge”, eg use both connections at the same time (although I haven’t tried it with this particular model).
The usual free shipping terms apply, Prime or $25+/$49+.
Meanwhile according to the lightning deals schedule, the Lightning connector version of this is scheduled to go live on Tuesday at 3am ET. It is not currently on sale.
Speaking of USB flash drives, the USB 2.0 16GB Sandisk Cruzer Blade CZ50 goes for $5.50 but it is an Add-On item, so you need a $25+ order in order to buy it. Storage has dropped enough in price now that the material and product overhead becomes a bigger cost factor. In other words, you can get better bang for the buck with higher storage options.
Speaking of USB 3.0 flash drives, the 64GB Centon Electronics model S1-U3P6-64GB is on sale for $13.49 with a limit of up to three per customer at Amazon by Amazon actual. The usual free shipping terms apply.
Speaking of Amazon and storage, this 8TB Seagate Expansion Desktop External Hard Drive (USB 3.0, model STEB8000100) goes for $170 with free shipping with a limit of up to five per customer. This is not color-coded, but you can add round sticky labels (such as these) on them to color code them on the fly 🙂
And now a flash drive doorbuster at the eBay Deals, eBay seller “Refurb for Less” (98.8%, California) is offering the new condition [PRO TIP: choose your eBay names carefully!] 32GB Toshiba USB 3.0 Flash Drive (model PFU032U-1BRG) for $11 with free shipping, with a limit of five per customer.
This is a retractable flash drive, not a detachable. The one picture there is confusing, you may think it’s a tiny thing like the Sandisk Ultra Fit, but it’s not. Look at the pictures further down the description at Amazon to get a better feel of its size and shape and usage.
Here’s an in-between storage size you don’t often see, it is the 1.5TB Seagate Expansion 2.5″ Portable External USB 3.0 Hard Drive on sale for $60 with free shipping at Adorama.
It turns out that they should have kept the limit of one per customer, because as of 1:45pm ET, this is sold out and cannot be ordered…
This offer ended…

Some of today’s smaller cameras take microSD, in addition to smartphones and other other-camera products (action cameras, etc), which brings us to the black/red 200GB SanDisk Ultra MicroSDXC (SDSDQUAN-200G-G4A), one of the “rebels” to break out of the Powers-of-2 storage option scheme, on sale for $50 with free shipping at Amazon by Amazon herself with a limit of ten per customer.
As of a 9:37pm ET recheck, this sold out:
The eBay Deals have their own Black Friday sales, in a herding cats type of a fashion, and among them, there’s a 4TB external hard drive for $90! The BuyDig eBay store is offering the new condition 4TB Seagate Expansion USB 3.0 Desktop External Hard Drive, model STEB4000100, for $90 with free shipping, with a limit of five per buyer. Nearly 500 units have been sold in the last 24 hours per the statistics-in-red-ink over there.
