Sunday: 3pk of 64GB Samsung EVO Select microSDXC for $30 [and more]

On the microSD front, one of the Woot deals of the day for Sunday 8/25/19 [ALERT: just four months until Christmas Day 2019, get your gift buying plans in order] is a new condition 3pk of 64GB Samsung EVO Select microSDXC memory cards going for $30 total with free shipping for Prime members or $6 flat for the calendar day (central time zone) for non-members… You can buy up to ten 3-packs at the sale price… They include a full-size SD adapter and come with a 10-year Samsung warranty…

Elsewhere at Woot, there’s AmazonBasics Premium hard side luggage at the main Woot, and a $300 unlocked dual SIM Galaxy S9 at Electronics…

Meanwhile at the Best Buy dailies you can find the following potentially interesting items:

+ Corel Video Studio Ultimate 2019 for $40
+ Epson WorkForce PRO EcoTank ET-8700 AiO Wireless for $700

Now flying to the other side of the pond [ALERT: make sure your flights are not impacted by the upcoming September British Airways strikes], at Amazon Germany the headliners are a 999 euro ASUS Zenbook 13 UX433FN (i7, 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD, 14″ FHD, GTX 1050, etc), and also a 550 euro Lenovo IdeaPad 330s (i5-8250, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD, 14″ FHD IPS, etc)… There’s also a LeaBags sale (not camera-centric but you know…)…

Wedn: 64GB Samsung PRO Endurance microSDXC for $18 [or buy them in 2-packs for $33]

It’s been a while since we visited the NewEgg shellshockers and what a coincidence, today they have a special on the Samsung Endurance microSDXC cards. IF you buy one new condition 64GB Samsung PRO Endurance microSDXC memory card (UHS-I, U1, up to 100MB/sec, MB-MJ64GA/AM) you pay $18. Limit up to three per customer. These are sold and shipped by NewEgg not marketplace sellers.

BUT wait, there’s more! You can buy them as a 2-pack for $33, that brings the individual card price down to $16.50. So it’s better to buy the 2-packs instead of two individual cards. Limit up to three 2-packs per customer as well…

This is a daily deal for Wednesday August 21 in 2019… We are just three months away from Black Friday 2019. Are your wish lists and shopping lists and your budgets ready for the madness?

Monday: 128GB PNY SDXC for $20, 256GB Sandisk microSDXC for $42, Etc

Monday also brings on some on-topic action at the Best Buy dailies with the following potentially interesting items:

+ 256GB Sandisk Ultra Plus microSDXC for $42

+ 128GB PNY Elite Performance SDXC for $20

+ 10,000 maH Insignia powerbank for $15

+ 33-pack battery storage box with assorted sizes for $12

+ Dell: 24″ LED FHD monitor for $150, Inspiron 2-in-1 13.3″ Ryzen-5 [sounds like a space colony name?] SSD laptop for $450

Sandisk Ultra Fit USB 3.1 Flash Drive: 64GB for $9, 128GB for $18, 256GB for $30

It’s hard not to find uses for USB flash drives these days (although USB-C and Lightning adapters may be necessary in certain cases). If that is so, there’s an organic sale again of the new condition Sandisk Ultra Fit USB 3.1 flash drives going for $9 in the 64GB option, $18 in the 128GB option and the bang for the buck is $30 in the 256GB option.

Of these, the 128GB ships almost right away, while the 64GB is TOOS (temporarily out of stock), while the 256GB has an August 7 shipment estimate. Amazon tends to be on the conservative side of estimates, but that’s not a guarantee they’ll arrive on time or earlier ~ many things can happen that delay the arrival of something that should have been there earlier (from driver flat tires to confused new hires who can’t find your home or apartment). So if you have a hard deadline (eg the plane leaves at 9pm tomorrow) keep that in mind…

There is a limit of up to three per customer. Not sure if it’s three per storage option or three overall. I have a trio of these and they have performed quite well ~ one of them was permanently used as the “hard drive” of one of those $30 OTA basic DVRs.

This is not a lightning deal so the price can (or cannot) change at any time…

Tuesday: 128GB Sandisk Ultra Plus SDXC or microSD for $25 each

Among the Tuesday Best Buy daily deals you can get the 128GB Sandisk Ultra PLUS memory cards for $25 each , in your choice of SDXC or microSDXC… I don’t recall the difference between the PLUS and the non-PLUS models…

Saturday: Kodak Internal SSD sale ($28 to $120, 120GB to 960GB)

Of the Saturday daily deals at Amazon, there is a Kodak SSD sale of the internal kind, with prices ranging from $28 to $120 and storage options ranging from 120GB to 960GB in the usual denominations in-between (240GB, 480GB)… They are sold by Woot and fulfilled by Amazon with the sale ending at 11:59pm pacific on Saturday (or earlier if sold out)…

Friday: 512GB Centon USB 3.0 Flash drive for $40, 1TB for $80

You can never have too many backups, no matter how tedious the process might be. One of the components of a backup strategy is using USB flash drives for temporary and shorter-term storage, eg until you get back home or at work to do proper backups. All this mumbling brings us to one of the Friday Woot daily deals running until 11:59pm central (or earlier if sold out), the 1TB Centon DataStick PRO (USB 3.0 of course) going for $80 or the 512GB going for $40. Limit up to ten per customer. Free shipping for Prime members or $6 flat for the calendar-day for non-members. They come with a 5-year Centon warranty…

10TB WD My Book External HDD for $160 AC [limit 2]

Prime Day may be over at the Amazon Mothership but NewEgg won’t let it go, they have a new “top sellers” edition of their e-newsletter sale with the headliner being a 10TB WD My-Book external HDD going for $160 after you enter the promo code EMCTCUB37 over there. You must be logged on to Newegg or give them your email address in order to be able to use these newsletter promo codes… Limit two per customer at the sale price… Because all those pictures and video need more and more TB…

Prime Day 2019 Storage Sales: WD, Sandisk, Seagate, Samsung

Sandisk and their new WD overlords are having their own sale box in the Amazon Prime Day 2019 deals. Among the many items in the Sandisk and WD Storage sale:

+ 128GB Extreme SDXC for $24, 256GB for $48, 64GB for $13.59

+ microSD Ultra: 128GB for $20, 256GB for $30, 400GB for $45, 512GB for $100

+ microSD Extreme: 1TB for $341, 512GB for $136, 256GB for $43

+ various internal and external WD hard drives and some G-Technology “Armor” as well
+ Sandisk SSDs

+ flash drives including the 128GB Ultra Fit USB 3.1 Type A for $15, the 256GB for $30

+ also part of the sale is the new-ish Sandisk iBi Photo Manager thing going for $120

BUT that’s not all. There is a second block with Storage Sales that features various other brands but with similar products as mentioned above. They include:

+ 32GB Samsung microSD EVO Select for $5.50
+ 64GB PNY SDXC Elite Performance for $12
+ 512GB Lexar 633x microSDXC for $52
+ LaCie rugged external hard drives

+ Synology 2-bay NAS for $119, 4-bay for $467
+ flash drives, and more

Tuesday: Two 32GB Sandisk Ultra microSD cards for $7 [Prime] or $12

Amazon’s “Prime Day” [which is really “Prime Month” ~ sprawling like the Black Friday and Christmas holiday sales do] expands to Woot as well, where one of their Tuesday 7/9/19 deals of the day is the 2-pack of 32GB Sandisk Ultra microSD cards (UHS-I, C10, adapter) going for $12 per 2-pack…

BUT if you are a Prime member and your Woot account is connected to your Amazon Prime account (a one-time thing), then the price will automatically drop to $7 in the shopping cart. Not bad for $3.50 for a 32GB name-brand microSD card 🙂

The offer is limited one 2-pack per customer. Per the listing, the cards get a 90-day Woot warranty. Not sure why there’s no Sandisk warranty. Mayhaps it’s the price or Amazon sourced them from elsewhere in order to offer them at this low price?

Monday: 64GB Sandisk Ultra Plus for $15 (SD and/or microSD)

Sandisk returns to the Monday Best Buy dailies with 64GB cards, going for $15 each: the Ultra Plus SDXC (UHS-I, C10, etc) and/or the Ultra Plus microSDXC… Also part of the Monday dailies is a 48-pack of Insignia single-use AA or AAA batteries going for $9.49 per 48-pack…

There’s some potentially interesting Woot action as well for Monday:

+ scratch and dent iPhones for $100 to $650 at the main Woot
+ Rocketbooks $30 to $44 at “Electronics”
+ Kindle Paperwhite (2016 model) for $70 in “Computers” (new with 1-year warranty)

Wednesday: 3pk of 64GB Samsung microSDXC for $30

I am mostly using Samsung microSD cards these days, I have had zero issues with them ~ the same cannot be said with other brands I had previously used (Lexar, PNY, etc). Of course I am not a consumer reports test lab, so it’s only a small data point…

Which brings us to the Wednesday Woot Computers deal of the day a 3pk of 64GB Samsung microSDXC memory cards o the EVO Select kind (UHS-I, U3, C10, 4K UHD video, up to 100MB/sec read and up to 60MB/sec write) for $30 with free shipping for Prime members or $6 flat for non-members. It comes out to *calculating* *calculating* $10 per card 🙂

You can buy up to ten 3-packs per customer at the sale price. They come with a 10-year Samsung warranty. These are the 4-Proof kind (water, extreme temperatures, X-Ray, magnetic fields).

MEANWHILE at the main Woot, their deal du jour is a sale on various iPad PROs: the 12.9″ 2017 and 2018 models, and the 11″ 2018 model. Prices range from $570 to $1060… And at “Electronics” there’s the refurbished scratch&dent LG V20 former-flagship Android smartphone going for $100 with a 3-month Woot warranty…

Monday: Storage (microSD, HDD) and Laptops and Etc sale

Name-brand technology makes a comeback at the Monday 6/24/19 Amazon Gold Box deals du jour. This set is good until 11:59pm Pacific time [or earlier for anything that sells out earlier on]. You can buy up to two of each individual item per shopping cart.

We start with storage, of the microSD kind:

+ 200GB Sandisk ULTRA microSDXC (C10. A1, UHS-I) for $24

+ Sandisk Extreme microSD bundled with Sandisk USB 3.0 microSD card reader: 64GB for $23, 128GB for $30, 256GB for $54

Then we have one flash drive, the 256GB “Dual Drive” (one side USB regular size, the other microUSB) going for just under $33.

On the hard drive side of things, there’s a 3TB WD for $83, and a 6TB Seagate desktop style with two USB ports for $100.

And then there are laptops, five Windows laptops from Dell and Alienware ($335 to $1515) and one ASUS Chromebook (Flip C101PA-DS04, 10.1″, Rockchip, 4GB RAM, 32GB on-board, one USB-A and two USB-C ports , microSD slot, Google Play, 360-degree touchscreen, 1280×800, 2 lbs, etc) for $279.

But that’s not all – there’s networking gear, gaming accessories, and the Wacom One graphics tablet for $50…

Tuesday: another Sandisk/WD sale includes SD, microSD, Etc

IF you are a fan of the Sandisk and WD storage brands, you are in luck because the headliner deal of the day for Tuesday 4/18/19 at the Best Buy daily deals is a Sandisk and Western Digital storage sale featuring select external hard drives, SSDs, flash drives and memory cards from their respective line-ups…

Of card interest, the 64GB Sandisk Extreme Plus V30 UHS-I U3 C10 goes for $18, while the 128GB version goes for $30. They also offer these in microSD for the same price at the same capacities. And they also offer them at the same price/capacity combo with the “for Nintendo Switch” branding.

Free with the purchase is the customary Best Buy gift, $25 to spend towards an 8×8 inch custom photo book at Shutterfly. This is not cash but essentially a coupon off a specific purchase…

With more memory cards added to the arsenal, more memory card readers are not a bad idea, this USB-mountable Transcend RDF5 USB 3.0 card reader is back down to 7 euro in the black color scheme. It has two dedicated slots, one for SD* and one for microSD*…

EU: 128GB Transcend microSDXC (A1, V30, C10) for 18 euro

Down go the prices! Amazon Germany is offering the new condition 128GB Transcend microSDXC card (A1, V30, C10, U3, UHS-I) for 18 euro with speeds UP TO 95MB/sec. This is not a lightning deal, so the price is not tied to a ticking clock…

Speaking of reasonable prices in the EU, they are also offering the 128GB Sandisk Ultra SDXC (C10, up to 80MB/sec) for 25 euro…

EU: Transcend USB 3.0 card reader (SD, microSD slots) for 7 euro

The best sellers among memory card readers at Amazon Germany at the moment is the black color scheme of the Transcend RDF5 USB3.0 Card Reader which has two slots, one for SD* memory cards, and one for microSD* memory cards. It goes for slightly more in white… It averages 4.5 out of 5 based on 1500+ customer reviews… You can buy as many as you like at the sale price…

EU: 128GB Sandisk Ultra SDXC for 20 euro

Amazon Germany is back with more Sandisk memory card sales! These are limited time offers but they are not tied to the daily deals [which occur in the German time zone], so the expiration date/time is unknown to me…

We start with the SDXC memory cards, their new condition 128GB Ultra SDXC (C10, UHS-I, up to 80MB/sec) is on sale for just 20 euro. This is sold and shipped by Amazon itself and it is available in your choice of frustration-free packaging or standard packaging. The limit is up to five per customer at the sale price. Not sure if you can buy five of each packaging, or five total.

Next up we move to the microSD cards. The new condition 200GB Ultra microSDXC (A1, C10, U1) goes for 33 euro with up to five per customer. This defeats the 128GB for 23 euro in terms of $/GB. You pay less than 50% more, but you get more than 50% in extra storage…

Or if you can to solve for a lower price, the new condition 128GB Transcend microSDXC (C10, UHS-I) goes for the very specific price of 18.79 euro per customer…

MicroSD is not just for smartphones any more as the number of digital cameras (including a few iLCs eg Panasonic GX800) take the microSD cards. Most of them include full-size SD adapters, or you probably already have a drawer full of them from previous memory card purchases…

They are on different listings at the moment.

But this is also sale at Amazon USA where it goes for $38 with free shipping. You can buy as many as you like at this price.

These are organic or manufacturer-initiated sales, they are not lightning deals, so expiration time is unknown (to me)…

We’ve certainly come a long way in storage prices. I remember paying more for Smartmedia memory card a few camera cycles ago ^_^

EU: 256GB Sandisk Extreme PRO SDXC (U3, V30, UHS-I, C10) for 60 euro

This is a limited time sale but not a lightning deal, so expiration time is unknown…

128GB Transcend SDXC C10 U3 V30 for $20

If you are a fan of Transcend memory cards, their new condition 128GB Transcend SDXC C10 U3 V30, model TS128GSDC300S-E, is currently going for $20 per card at Amazon by Amazon itself. You can buy as may as you like at this price…

If you are not a fan of Transcend, the 128GB Sandisk Ultra goes for $22 by Amazon itself but it is not U3/V30…

EU: 64GB Sandisk Extreme SDXC (V30, U3) for 15 euro

While price-checking yesterday’s post, a bang for the buck option surfaced, it’s part of a Sandisk sale at Amazon Germany {not a lightning deal, so expiration time unknown) that has the new condition 64GB Sandisk Extreme SDXC card going for 15 euro and you can buy as many as you like. This is NOT a PRO version but it is V30, U3, C10, etc.

Once again, in a turn of conventional wisdom, Amazon Germany defeats the Amazon USA website where it goes for just under $20; however the 128GB goes for $35 in the USA Amazon but 36 euro at Amazon Allemagne…

EU: 256GB Sandisk Extreme PRO V30 SDXC for 60 euro

This is not a lightning deal, so I have no clue when the sale ends, but as of the time of writing, Amazon Germany is offering the new condition 256GB Sandisk Extreme PRO SDXC card (U3, V30, C10, up to 95MB/s) for 60 euro with free shipping in Germany. Limit up to five per customer at the sale price. This price currently soundly defeats the other storage options in this line…

In contrast this card goes for $88 at Amazon USA

UPDATE: this is part of a Sandisk sale (not a lightning deal) at Amazon Germany that also has the 512GB version of the PRO card going for 170 euro {that’s the premium of being the highest capacity available).

PS2: speaking of Adorama, they are running a winter sale on various Canon C-series Cinema cameras

[ENDED] EU: 128GB Sandisk Extreme PRO SDXC (95, U3, V30) for 35 Euro [limit five]

As of a JAN-25-2019 re-check [yes, we are just eleven months away from Christmas!], the sale ended, the price is back up to 40 euro… But the Amazon USA Lenovo 2-in-1 Chromebook that was also mentioned in this sprawling post continues to be good as of this update…
