As of a 11/12/17 AM re-check, the sale is over…

More 11/11 festivities, the new condition K&F CONCEPT Lens Mount Adapter for Nikon G AF-S F lenses to M43 cameras is offered for $18 with free shipping from China (19-39 days estimate), sold by the K&F Concept store at Ali Express.

Sigma dp1 Quattro Digital Camera and LVF-01 Viewfinder Kit for $999

The Sigma dp1 Quattro Digital Camera on its own goes for $1000, but at the moment B&H Photo is including the LVF-01 Viewfinder Kit for FREE, in other words, you pay the same price of $999. Note that these are “Special Orders” so it will take 7-14 business days for them to get to you.

Panasonic FZ2500 with $100 gift card for $1200

The Panasonic FZ2500 superzoom with RAW goes for $1200 in new condition at authorized dealers, but for a limited time, B&H Photo and Adorama are bundling a $100 gift card of their own with the camera. In other words, if you buy from B&H, you get a $100 B&H gift card. If you buy from Adorama, you get a $100 Adorama gift card.

Optionally you can triple the original 1-year warranty by filing with Panasonic. Details at each retailer above.

Used Fuji X70 rawsumer for $499 + S&H

The price checking continues for RAWsumer cameras. The new condition Fuji X70 goes for $700 at authorized dealers, but if you are comfortable with used, you can get it in “Used – Excellent condition” for $499 plus shipping and with a 90-day Adorama warranty at Adorama along with a 30-day return policy.

Used Fuji X100F for $1050 (black) or $1080 (silver)

The RAWsumer price-checking continues. The Fuji X100F big sensor prime remains at $1300, but if you are comfortable with used, the following options are available:

+ the black color is available at B&H Photo for $1050 in “USED – Condition 9”

+ the silver color is available at Amazon Warehouse Deals (by Amazon, not 3rd-party sellers) for $1080 in “Used – Very Good” condition

Canon G5X with Pixma PRO 100 printer and paper for $650 (after $350 MIR)

The Canon G5X RAWsumer goes for $729 in new condition at authorized dealers such as Amazon and Adorama, but if you are not afraid of mail-in rebates, you can actually get it for a LOWER price after mail-in rebate!

At B&H Photo they are bundling the Canon G5 X with the PIXMA PRO 100 printer and 50pk Canon SG-201 printer. You pay $999 at checkout, receive the order, submit the mail-in rebate, and if all is well, a few weeks later you receive a $350 prepaid American Express gift card by mail, making it a $650 after $350 MIR.

So you pay $79 less, and you get a free printer and photo paper. As long as you are willing to do the mail-in rebate song and dance.

With select Canon G-series cameras, Pay $29 more, And Get the Pixma PRO 100 and Paper after $350 MIR

For $29 more (after mail-in rebate) than their current price, the following Canon G-series RAWsumers can be yours bundled with the Pixma PRO 100 printer and 50pk Canon SG-201 photo paper at B&H Photo. You pay full price, submit the mail-in rebate, receive a $350 prepaid AMEX gift card, and after you factor in the value of the AMEX gift card, you end up paying $29 more for the Printer and Paper combo.

+ Canon G1 X II for $679 after $350 MIR [goes for $650 on its own]

+ Canon G3 X for $879 after $350 MIR [goes for $850 on its own]

+ Canon G7 X II for $709 after $350 MIR [goes for $680 on its own]

+ Canon G9 X II for $479 after $350 MIR [goes for $450 on its own]

Canon G9X with Pixma PRO 100 printer and paper and 2% rewards for $399 + S&H (after $350 MIR)

Price checking is under way now for the final installment in our November 2017 Camera Price Charts series. We are now price-checking Serious Fixed Lens Cameras with RAW!

The Canon G9X compact with RAW goes for $399 in new condition at authorized Canon dealers. But if you also want to get the Pixma PRO 100 printer and don’t object to mail-in rebates and prepaid AMEX gift cards…

… then to B&H Photo we go where you can get either the black or brown color scheme of the G9X along with the Pixma PRO 100 printer and the 50pk Canon SG-201 printer for $399 plus shipping (around $10) after a $350 mail-in rebate (prepaid AMEX gift card). You also get 2% promotional rewards (I believe that’s on the pre-rebate amount, so it’s 2% on either $750 or $400).

In-stock now: Google Pixebook for $999

The $999 Pixelbook is now in-stock and ready to ship at Amazon by Amazon itself with up to three of them per customer at this time. This is the entry-point with 8GB RAM and Intel i5 and 128GB on-board storage.

The stylus is available for purchase separately, and it is in-stock for $99.

YMMV: $100 off the Nikon D850 IF You Apply and Get Approved for the Amazon Rewards VISA card

This is a YMMV promotion as Amazon’s AI bots have a mind of their own!!!

While checking the Nikon D850 stock status at Amazon I noticed a promotion that offers you a $100 discount IF you apply for an Amazon Rewards VISA credit card (by Chase) and Get Approved for it, and use the new card to pay the Nikon D850 [which remains in “Temporarily Out of Stock” status]. You don’t have to be a Prime member for this offer.

To see this offer however you may have to be logged on to your Amazon account, and NOT have an Amazon Rewards VISA card (by Chase). I only saw this offer on the non-Prime Amazon account I use to check prices/offers for non-Prime members. My Prime account (already has the Amazon Rewards VISA) was not offered this. Looking at the page without being logged on to an Amazon account also did not show the offer.

So this is a big YMMV.

If you are eligible for this offer, it looks like this [screenshot below]:

This has to be sold and shipped by Amazon itself, not 3rd-party sellers.

Non-Prime members get 3% credit cards rewards on Amazon purchases with the Amazon Rewards VISA, while Prime members get 5%. This is another one of the many Prime Benefits.

Now Posted: the MASSIVE November 2017 Mirrorless Price Charts

Mirrorless is where most of the action is in terms of new camera gear development and that’s why we have a massive new Mirrorless Price Charts installment with a total of four charts! this is too big to read on mobile, it needs a big screen!

NOVEMBER 2017 SERIES

+ 35mm Full Frame Cameras
+ APS-C DSLRs
+ Mirrorless Cameras
+ Fixed Lens Cameras (COMING UP)

Tamron SP 150-600mm f5-6.3 Di VC USD for $799 [C/N, A [no VC])

Big zoom action now, B&H Photo is offering for a limited time the new condition Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD Lens for $799 with free expedited shipping in the Canon and Nikon DSLR systems, and without VC (optical image stabilization) for the Sony A system.

No coupons, no rebates, this is a straight up sale, add to cart and proceed to checkout!

Nikon D850 body goes in TOOS status!

Breaking!!! The Nikon D850 body only is currently in “Temporarily out of stock” (TOOS) status at Amazon by Amazon itself. Limit three per customer… Previously the estimate was “2-4 months”, so that’s an improvement…

“TOOS” is an all-encompassing thing, so it’s hard to tell when you’ll get it…

All the options at the Amazon listing are in “TOOS”, which makes sense, since these are just DSLR + Lens sold by Amazon, they are not official Nikon kits, so basically once you have the DSLR, you have all the other combos as well [unless any of those lenses are unavailable].

B&H Photo remains in pre-order status, and Adorama in backorder status.

The eBay Search Results continue to be filled with sellers charging A LOT more. If you hate this practice, make a note of their names and never buy from them 🙂

The Stock Status Tracker has been updated, and the Nikon D850 listing moved to the top. For the reasons explained above, I’m not creating additional entries for the D850 + Lens combos since they all depend on the D850 body only stock status.

Leica TL Mirrorless iLC Body for $1199 (black) OR $1295 (silver)

Leica has not been shy about launching different cameras and systems and partnering with various companies, including their smartphone romance with Huawei. Their first generation mirrorless camera, the TL APS-C body only is currently on sale for a limited time at B&H Photo! The black TL body only goes for $1199 with free expedited shipping and you also get 2% promotional rewards ($24~ to spend in the future at B&H).

The silver TL body only is also on sale, going for $1295 with free expedited shipping. No promotional rewards for this one.

Their second generation model, the TL2 body only is going for $1950, and the white color scheme is in-stock for this price at Adorama and by various at Amazon.

PS: Leicas are still included in the Price Charts. I only removed them from the 35mm Full Frame chart because they skew the charts and break the flow and make it too long to manage (nine 35mm FF models, $4K to $8K).

Used Fuji X-T10 body for $369

Price-checking has began again as I’m working on the Mirrorless segment of the Price Charts series.

Fuji has many X-cameras now. If your research and price points are pointing towards a used Fuji X-T10, there are a lot of options under $400 at the moment for the body only. Adorama and Green Mountain Camera are fighting for the $369 price point at Amazon Warehouse Deals in “Used – Like New” condition.

Meanwhile KEH Camera, which offers a 180-day warranty [factor that into the price since warranties cost money to offer] offers it for $379 plus shipping in “Used EX+” (Excellent Plus) condition. Or for $20 more for an “LN-” condition (LN = Like New).

Used prices of the X-T20 are almost twice as much at the moment.

Adorama’s Apple 2-Day Sale with iMac Retina 5K, MacBook Pro with Touch Bar, iPad PROs

Adorama has launched a limited time Apple 2-Day Sales Event featuring a trio of iMacs (Retina 5K), a trio of Apple MacBookPROs with Touch Bar, a quartet of iPad PROs (two of each screen size), along with the Apple Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse 2, and Magic Apple TV 4K 🙂 A total of fourteen products are participating in this limited time sale!

PS: with Thanksgiving / Black Friday happening early this year [the second earliest calendar wise], things are happening faster than I can breathe. Already a bunch of Black Friday ads dropped today which I will digest as well. If only I was IBM’s Watson and I could spawn 1,000 background threads to do everything at once 🙂

Pre-order new Panasonic 128GB SDZA Professional SDXC card for … [OMG!]

Panasonic is getting serious about the professional memory card game too. Announced together with their new Panasonic G9 photographic flagship is a “professionally priced” SDXC memory card too. The new Panasonic RP-SDZA128AK, part of their SDZA series, is a 128GB UHS II SDXC, V90 90MB/sec., 280MB/Sec. Read, 250 MB/Sec. Write, Class 3 (U3) & Class 10 memory card with a pre-order price of $500.

Pre-orders of this are accepted at Amazon by Amazon itself (February 2018 release estimate) and at B&H Photo whose release estimate is mid-November 2017 (may be a typo, I don’t know?).

Pre-order new Panasonic 200mm f2.8 OIS lens [m43]

Telebrights are coming to Micro Four Thirds Landia! Coming along with the G9 flagship camera is a brand new bright telephoto prime, the new H-ES200 lens. Or as most people like to call it, a Panasonic 200mm f2.8 OIS with an includes 1.4X teleconverter (DMW-TC14) for the pre-order price of $3000.

Pre-orders for this lovely are accepted at Amazon by Amazon itself and B&H Photo and Adorama.

If the included 1.4X teleconverter is not enough, Panasonic will also be releasing at about the same time the brand new Panasonic LUMIX 2.0X Teleconverter Lens, Black (DMW-TC20) for this lens, available for pre-ordering for $600 at Amazon by Amazon itself and Adorama and B&H Photo.

This too has been added to the New Lenses of 2017 tracking page.

Pre-order new Panasonic G9 camera with Dual IS, 80mp high-res mode for $1700

Patience is a virtue for this new camera as the estimates point to mid January to mid February 2018. It is the brand new Panasonic G9 non-video flagship, with a dual IS system [about time this became popular], dual SD slots, and an “80 megapixel high-res mode” among other things. The pre-order price is $1700 with pre-orders accepted by Amazon itself and Adorama and B&H Photo.

It will be added to the Stock Status Tracker as we get closer to release date (it’s 2-3 months away).

Also coming along for the ride is the Panasonic DMW-BGG9 Battery Grip available for pre-ordering for $350 at B&H Photo and Adorama and Amazon itself.

The timing of this camera is perfect because our Mirrorless segment of the Camera Price Charts is coming out tomorrow, so it will be included 🙂

This too has been added to the New Cameras of 2017 tracking page. This furthers the Mirrorless cameras lead over DSLRs to 12-8. It is not unreasonable to assume that DSLRs probably don’t have a chance to catch up to them in 2017 but you never know, we’ve had November and December surprised in previous years after all!

Does this sound like a dream M43rds camera or hype? Details at 11!

+ APS-C DSLRs
