Heads Up: Another Wave Starts Friday at 12:01am ET

Another wave of Black Friday deals will go live on Friday starting at 12:01am eastern! So get ready 🙂 Here are some tips to make the most of this:

+ use the blue menu bar at the top to quickly check if you are interested in products from a particular Manufacturer or Camera Mount or Camera Type (DSLR, mirrorless, superzoom, etc)

+ if you want to catch up to all the posts you may have missed, under the “HOME” button there are baked-in links to the first five pages of this blog. You can open them in background tabs/windows and skim/scan them all

+ subscribe to the Full-Text RSS Feed (FREE)

+ if the website crashes or slows down and such, use the Feedburner RSS feed link above as a backup. It is hosted separately by Feedburner, so it’s not affected by what happens to the website

+ I was supposed to be updating the “Situation Room” in parallel but there are so many things to sift and post, I just haven’t found time to do yet

+ UPDATE: I forgot there was a Search Box on the website – I brought it up higher in the Sidebar so it should be above the fold on Desktops and Some Laptops. It’s below the Black Friday links.

Doorbusters: Blue Blackout Yeti Mic + Serious headphones for $144 to $175

If you are looking for a microphone and some nice scifi-looking headphones, there are a couple of secret bundles at Amazon that are definitely doorbuster material. They are sold and shipped by Amazon itself, so you know it’s not a scam. You can always gift, trade, or sell the unwanted piece.

The Blue Microphones Blackout Yeti microphone goes for $90 on its own, while the bundles headphones go for $200 each. So you are paying less than half on the bundles:

+ Blue Blackout Yeti Mic + LOLA headphones for $143.91

+ Blue Blackout Yeti Mic + Mo-Fi headphones for $174.69

Speaking of headphones, Adorama has some real doorbusters as well:

+ Shure SE 535 In-Ear for $299 in Clear color scheme
+ Shure SE 535 In-Ear for $349 in the Limited Red Edition

+ for Apple fans looking for lightning headphones, the AUDEZE Sine On-Ear with 24-bit Cipher Lightning cable go for $200, also at Adorama, new condition, with warranty.

Black Friday deals at Focus Camera

Waves and waves of deals, these are the focus Camera Black Friday Deals, click on the big tabs (cameras, lenses, tripods, etc) to see all the details. Due to time constraints I can’t break them down further…

Fuji Instax Mini 26 + Rainbow Film Bundle for $50

64GB Samsung EVO Select microSDXC for $20, 128GB for $37, 32GB for $10

Last night’s orange-cream 128GB Samsung microSDXC EVO+ for $30 sold out and cannot be ordered, but fear not, there is another sale, this time it is the orange green EVO card that is on sale, the 64GB Samsung 100MB/s (U3) MicroSDXC EVO Select goes for $20 (it was $23) yesterday, the 128GB goes for $37, and the 32GB goes for $10. They come with a full size SD adapter. Limit up to ten per customer.

But not also that there is a Sandisk Ultra microSDXC sale running until 3am ET on Friday!

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 (USA Warranty, Unlocked) for $780

SURPRISE! The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has a big sale, the Midnight Black color scheme goes for $780 while the Orchid Gray goes for $800. These are new condition, with USA warranty, unlocked, no contract, sold & shipped by Amazon itself with up to two per color per customer! This is not a lightning deal… UPDATE: Both colors go for $780 at B&H Photo. Make sure you are buying the “North American” variant because their listing has International models too…

Sony a7 body with extras for $798

35mm Full frame for $800! A new low as far as I can recall for a new condition camera from an authorized USA dealer! It’s the good old Sony a7 body only, down to $798 with free shipping at Adorama (with free accessories) and at B&H Photo (two free accessories) and at Amazon itself.

Full frame parties 🙂 This went for $1000 a couple of weeks ago when I posted the 35mm Full Frame Camera Price Charts.

50 sheets of Fujifilm Instax Mini Instant Film for $30

The Instant Camera revival is so strong that it is currently headlining the Groupon Goods Black Friday sales. Good until Saturday night (or earlier if sold out) you can get 50 sheets of Fujifilm Instax Mini Instant Film for $30. These are five ten-packs which is handy if you plan to split among friends or add them to instant camera themed gifts.

Free shipping with orders of $34.99+. You can buy up to TEN sets of this, instead of the usual five. So if you max out, $300 gets you 500 sheets.

If you plan on making small purchases at Groupon throughout the holidays, they are offering a 90-day Free Shipping service for $15. During these 90-days, you don’t need a minimum of $34.99 to get free shipping. Note however that the free shipping only applies to products sold and shipped by Groupon, not by 3rd-party sellers who sell there [similar to how Amazon and NewEgg and Best Buy and others do it]

BUT if you don’t want the iconic green-white packets, B&H Photo has a 60 sheet Value Pack for $33.74 with free shipping. This is $0.56 per sheet, versus $0.60 per sheet at Groupon (assuming you buy enough to get free shipping).

Fujifilm instax mini 9 Instant Film w/10-expo for $50

After this post, I am digging into the Lightning Deals which I haven’t checked in six hours!

The new condition Fujifilm instax mini 9 Instant Film is on sale for $50 with free shipping and with ten free exposures until Black Friday at 4:30pm ET at B&H Photo. That’s when B&H stops taking orders for their usual Friday PM to Saturday PM Sabbath closing. So if you are planning B&H Black Friday purchases, don’t wait until late in the day!

The same price is available at Amazon by Amazon itself but no free exposures.

PS: if you are having a deja vu, the instant camera we mentioned earlier today was the $90 Mini 90 Neo Classic 🙂

34-Inch LG 34UM68-P 21:9 UltraWide IPS Monitor for $310

Ultra wide time now! The new condition 34-Inch LG 34UM68-P 21:9 UltraWide IPS Monitor with FreeSync is on sale for $310 with free shipping at Amazon by Amazon itself (limit four per customer) where it is rated as an “Amazon Choice” product (highly rated, well priced, ready to ship). A close second is $317 with free shipping at Adorama.

Canon PIXMA iP110 Wireless Mobile Printer With Airprint for $129

On the other hand, if you just want to buy a Canon printer and not deal with mail-in rebates and gift cards and paperwork and headaches and such, we have something for you too! The new condition Canon PIXMA iP110 Wireless Mobile Printer With Airprint is on sale for $129 with free shipping at Adorama and at Amazon (Prime-only from Amazon itself, but Adorama also offers it for same price for all).

Canon D-Rebel T6i with 18-55 IS STM and Rode Mic and Pixma PRO 100 Printer for $499 after $350 MIR

Are you a Rebel with an Audio Cause and an affinity for mail-in rebates? Adorama is offering the Canon EOS Rebel T6i with 18-55 RODE PIXMA kit for $499 after a $350 mail-in rebate (prepaid AMEX gift card). This includes the Canon D-Rebel T6i with 18-55mm IS STM in the Creator/Video/Audio kit with the RODE mic and SD card, along with the PIXMA PRO 100 printer, and its trusty sidekick (50pk SG-201). That’s a nice haul for $500 if you don’t hate mail-in rebates. Or if you like to sell/trade things, that gives you even more flexibility.

Canon 80D body for $1000, w/18-55 for $1050, w/18-135 for $1300, w/18-135 Video $1400

The Canon 80D body went for $1100 when I posted the APS-C DSLR price charts but the Black Friday madness has brought a discount to this Canon camera too!

The 80D body only goes for $1000, with 18-55 for $1050, with 18-135mm for $1300, and the 18-135 Video Creator kit for $1400. All these options are available by Amazon itself and Adorama and B&H Photo. Depending on the kit, you may get free accessories or promotional rewards.

The above are the standard kits. B&H Photo also has a couple of additional two lens kits where they add the 55-250 lens to the “with 18-55” kit for $1200, or to the “with 18-135” kit for $1450. That’s a +$150 for the 55-250 lens compared to the price without it.

Amazon’s own hardware sales: ECHO, Kindle, Fire TV, Tablets, Etc

+ Dash Buttons for $2.50 each (you still get a $5 credit after you place your first order with each individual button)

+ limits per item vary by product
+ prices mentioned as “$70+” means there are multiple options for the product, the lowest price is $70, but if you select more storage or without ads or with extra accessoreis, the price increases

+ arggghhh, this turned out a lot longer than I thought. The Sprawl is winning 🙂

Sigma ART Black Friday DSLR Lens Sales (46 options)

A total of 46 Sigma ART DSLR lenses are participating in their Black Friday instant savings, you can find them all organized at B&H Photo as part of their many and more Featured Sales. I will try to break down the lenses later today, but there’s so much to post and not enough time!

UPDATE: you can also find the Sigma ART DSLR Lens Sale at Adorama, broken down by mount, in Canon, Nikon, Sony A, Sigma, Pentax K, and mount converters (Sigma lenses to Sony E cameras).

Elinchrom D-Lite RX 4/4 Softbox To Go Kit with FREE 17″ Reflector for $760

Random Black Friday thought: I think the decision by more B&M retailers to close on Thanksgiving has helped settle things in the world of Black Friday shopping, with all those interested in BF activities on Thanksgiving Day doing it discreetly or otherwise while participating in holiday festivities.

And now something for lighting fans on the go! B&H Photo is offering the Elinchrom D-Lite RX 4/4 Softbox To Go Kit with a free Elinchrom Softlite 17” Reflector (White; $145 on its own) for $760 with free expedited shipping [nice since these things are not featherweight or tiny when it comes to shipping] as one of their 120+ BF Sales.

DJI Spark Mini for $369, or $400 with $50 Gift Card or $100+ Kohls Cash

The DJI Spark Mini for $400 was one of the Black Friday Ads but the internets have not only matched it, but also defeated it as follows:

+ DJI Spark Mini (white) for $369 at Adorama

+ DJI Spark Mini (all colors) + $50 B&H Gift Card for $400 at B&H Photo

+ DJI Spark Mini (all colors) for $400 at Kohls.com and receive $105 in Kohls Cash
+ Kohls Cash is $15 rewards for every $50 you spend. This is $399.99. An extra penny (or if they round it) will get you $120 Kohls Cash
+ Kohls Cash is not cash, it’s more a reward/coupon hybrid and it has an EXPIRATION date – can only be used between 11/26 and 12/6/17
+ if you are a regular Kohls shopper, this is the best deal, otherwise you are probably better off with the gift card or discount because unless you are a seasoned Kohls couponer and rewarder and clearancer, their regular prices are high.

UPDATE: the “Fly More” combos go for $600 everywhere I checked but B&H Photo offers a $50 B&H gift card with them.

Fujifilm Instax Mini 90 Neo Classic with 10pk film for $90

Yesterday it was going for $100 but today it dropped another $10 going for $90 with free shipping until Friday night, it is the new condition Fujifilm Instax Mini 90 Neo Classic bundled with ten free exposures at B&H Photo. The same price is at Amazon but no free exposures.

Olympus 45mm f1.8 for $199 [m43]

The second of the Olympus BF lens sales that is getting a 50% off price drop [see Oly BF teasers] is a prime temptation! The Olympus 45mm f1.8 has dropped from $400 to $200 with free shipping at Adorama and B&H Photo and Amazon itself. At B&H and Adorama you get $8 promotional rewards as well, while at Amazon you get a $10 statement credit if you pay with Prime VISA or Discover with activated Q4 rewards. With free shipping but not a Wattpad subscription 🙂

Olympus 40-150mm f4-5.6R for $99 [m43]

The biggest percent price drop of the Olympus Black Friday sales is 50% and two lenses are doing this. The first of the two is the good old Olympus 40-150mm f4-5.6 R M43rds lens returning to $99 again at Adorama and B&H Photo and Amazon itself. At B&H and Adorama you get $4 promotional rewards as well, while at Amazon you get a $5 statement credit if you pay with Prime VISA or Discover with activated Q4 rewards. With free shipping but not a Wattpad subscription 🙂

Microsoft Xbox One S Gaming Console for $190

And now something fun! An ecosystem, an entertainment and gaming console, and an Ultra HD BluRay player for $189. It is the Microsoft Xbox One S Gaming Console going for $190 with free shipping as a co-ordinated Black Friday sale at GameStop and the Microsoft Store and Walmart itself and B&H Photo (with 100+ BF sales).
