While checking the upcoming Gold Box schedule, this offer was featured at the bottom of the page. If you are a Prime member and you pay for these with a Prime Credit Card (Chase VISA or Amazon Store card) you will earn 10% as a statement credit instead of the usual 5%. “These” are the LG Electronics 4K Ultra HD Smart OLED TV (2017 Model) for $1700 at 55-inch and $2600 at 65-inch. Unlike the quarterly credit cards, there is no limit on the cashback you can earn with the Prime offers. Only these two main TV-only options are eligible, not the various bundles you see on the product page (neither TV with BluRay nor the TV with soundbar).
Woot is getting more and more Amazonified, and one of the things they have introduced since their purchase is Best Seller Lists. Currently in the Top 10 is the factory reconditioned LG 27″ 5K Ultra Fine LED Monitor going for $620 with free shipping for Prime or +$5 for non-members. It comes with a 90-day LG warranty. The offer runs for the next two days and charge (it is not a daily deal).

Starting today (Wednesday 2/7/18), Amazon is selling their Prime-exclusive smartphones that previously had “Lockscreen Ads” without them! If you have an existing Amazon Prime phone with “Lockscreen Ads”, an update will arrive that will disable them. If you paid out of your pocket to remove the ads, you can contact customer service and have it refunded.
As a result of the ad removal, their prices went up by $20. As of the time of writing, $420 gets you the LG G6 (32GB, Platinum) while $520 gets you the LG G6+ (128GB, Black).
These are factory unlocked, new condition and with USA warranty and with USA carriers in mind. The Moto models look like they have already been sold out. I don’t know if Amazon plans to discontinue this program once all available phones are sold out…

As usual when dealing with carriers, make sure you understand all the terms, restrictions, traps, and conditions of their offers. They have a long way to go towards offering more transparent and consumer-friendly plans and services.

The modular LG G5 was not greeted as a liberator by the smartphone reviewer industrial complex, but of photography interest, this has a dedicated camera controls add-on module, and said module, the LG CAM Plus, is included for FREE with the LG G5 which in itself is on sale for $288 with free expedited shipping in the Titan color scheme, unlocked with US warranty, with no contractual/carrier obligations at B&H Photo. The other colors go for more and do not include the LG CAM Plus module.
Amazon itself also has it for $288 (limit three per customer) but does NOT include the LG CAM Plus for free.
If you like to buy unlocked smartphones with USA warranty and also want to dabble into smartwatches, B&H Photo is bundling the new condition LG G6 (USA warranty, unlocked version) with the LG Watch Style for $650. Or for $20 less you can get the AT&T models unlocked, but they have an AT&T logo on the back of the phone. IS a $20 discount enough for you to stare at the AT&T logo? (you can always hide it in a non-clear case).

LG is busy this time of the year, in addition to rolling out their LG6 flagship phone with a big installment promotion deal at Sprint, they are now offering their new flagship computer monitor for pre-order for $999. The 32-inch LG 32UD99-W has 4K UHD (3840 x 2160), IPS, HDR-10 For PC, DCI-P3 95% Color Standard, FreeSync support, and various connectors. It has a “1 to 4 weeks” shipping estimate at Amazon by Amazon itself.
If you like what you saw with the LG G6 camera samples and reviews, and you don’t want to wait for the new Galaxy and iPhone and Pixel flagships to come out, and you are okay with switching or continuing with Sprint, they have a new installment-plan promotion that gets you the new LG G6 smartphone for $354 on a 24-month installment plan. The new LG G6 flagship is doing a lot better review-wise than its modular predecessor, the LG G5. If you have read the G6 reviews, checked the camera samples and comparisons, and you don’t want to wait to see what Samsung has to …unpack with their …explosive presentation of the Galaxy S8 next week, there are various LG G6 pre-order promotions at Verizon Wireless.

This is a good way to use and test the latest versions of a variety of camera and photography Android apps but restrict them when they get too grabby with their permissions and data hoarding. Having said that, keep in mind that the new Permissions system is not perfect and it only gives us partial control. There is a very good write-up on it at the Ars Technica review.
