Top 100 Adorama Black Friday deals

Are you pressed for time and don’t want to sift through a lot of things? Adorama has created a handy Top 100 Black Friday Deals offered on their website. You can browse through the top 100 or use the sub-categories on the left-hand side to zero-in on areas of interest. This is a new visual style, more user friendly!

Pentax K-1 Body with D-BG6 Battery Grip for $1900 [also: Pentax 24-70/2.8 for $1100]

The Pentax K-1 body only is bundled with Pentax D-BG6 Battery Grip, together for $1900 at B&H Photo… The Pentax HD Pentax-D FA 24-70mm f/2.8ED SDM WR is on sale for $1100 with free shipping on its own as part of the B&H Black Friday sales… Or you can get them together for the same total price ($2994) as a bundle.

Black Friday Sigma DSLR Lenses sale (92 options)

Sigma is back with a Black Friday Lens Sale featuring 92 products in this promotion nicely organized at B&H Photo. Almost all of them are lenses, along with a couple of flashes and converters/adapters. They are available in Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Sigma and Sony A. You can use the options on the left hand side over there to filter by these and more.

Speaking of B&H Photo, they have a massive Apple sale featuring laptops, iPads, Mac Minis, and more. Click on “Load More” at the bottom of the page to see more.

NewEgg 24-hour Black Friday sale

NewEgg too launched a brand new 24 Hour Black Friday sale with a variety of offers. As usual with NewEGG, some of the offers may require the use of promo codes which you can use by signing up to their email newsletters. It’s easier than it sounds, they have details at the top of the page. I am too brain-dead to go through the NewEgg BF sale, so that’s a DIY adventure 🙂

20% Statement Credit on Select Purchases Paid with Prime VISA or Prime Store Card

And the offers keep on coming! If you are a Prime member, AND you have either the Amazon Chase Prime VISA credit card, or the Prime Store credit card, AND you purchase eligible products participating in the promotion you will receive a whopping 20% back as a statement credit on your credit card. You get the usual 5% plus a 15% bonus cashback, making it 20% total. The six eligible categories include Electronics, but it’s only a subset of all products that are eligible. This happens automatically if you fulfill the prerequisites, so you don’t have to enter a coupon. If you can find items you want/need with this, it’s a great deal. I’ll look into it more later in the weekend. Expiration date unspecified.

Manfrotto MVH502AH Fluid Video Head with MT055XPRO3 Aluminum 3-Section Tripod for $250

The new condition Manfrotto MVH502AH Fluid Video Head with MT055XPRO3 Aluminum 3-Section Tripod is a Black Friday sale at Adorama going for $250 with free shipping and handling! No coupon, no rebate, it’s an old fashioned sale!

Rakuten Black Friday: 20% off almost everything (max discount $40 off)

Rakuten has a “make your own deal” type of a Black Friday! Coupon code BF20 gets you 20% off almost everything at their website. The usual exclusions apply (cash-equivalent items not eligible, some brands don’t allow coupons, some products cannot be legally discounted, etc). The maximum discount is $40 using the coupon (in order words, purchases over $200 get a flat $40 off discount if my math is right). The coupon expires on Saturday at 3am ET.

Microsoft Store Black Friday Sales

I am posting faster than Doug Flutie is throwing passes during a two-minute warning 20-point comeback attempt 😉 The official Microsoft Store too has their Black Friday sales, featuring a number of Microsoft’s own hardware including Surface bundles of different kinds, a showcase of various Windows 10 products, Xboxes, their Cortana powered speaker (made by Harman Kardon who is now part of Samsung), Mixed Reality headsets and bundles, and more. Speaking of the Cortana-powered speaker, you can get it for FREE with purchase of select Surface Laptop bundles.

Dell launches Black Friday sales

Dell Home too has launched their Black Friday Sales featuring a number of laptops and desktops, including XPS 13 and XPS 15 models, along with Alienware, HDTVs, various computer monitors including UltraSharps, Gaming (including Xbox One S and PS VR), electronics and more. At the very bottom there is a $15 laptop backpack appetizer doorbuster of sorts. Next to it you will find the $60 1-Year Dropbox with a $25 gift card offer as well.

eBay launches Black Friday Ads “Meet or Beat” page

eBay is innovating too in the ever-changing world of Black Friday madness. They have now launched a Black Friday Price Matching page where they meet or beat some of the advertised offers from the Black Friday ads. As of the time of writing, there are 88 listings there, a few of them are tech items, but no camera gear. I will monitor it (on a time permitting basis) to see if anything pops up.

Speaking of eBay and price-matching, the official BOSE eBay store has price-matched their own Black Friday offers 🙂

Speaking of eBay, here’s an appetizer doorbuster, the 8GB Transcend Class 10 SD card is offered for $5 with free shipping by PhotoVideo4Less (New York). Limit two per customer.

All the posts are sprawling today, so might as well, while we are talking eBay, the official Google eBAY store has their own Black Friday specials running with free shipping:
+ Google Chromecast for $25
+ Google Chromecast Audio for $25
+ Google Home for $79
+ limit three of each per customer

DJI Mavic PRO with Five Freebies for $849

I forgot to post this together with the earlier DJI Spark Mini deal, so it gets its own short post. The DJI Mavic PRO Black Friday sales are here.

If you want a lower price, Adorama is offering it for $849 with free shipping and FIVE useful free accessories… If you prefer free drone training (optional), and free accessories you can get it for $900 at the official DJI store.

Update on Amazon Lightning Deals Coverage

It looks like this is the new way Amazon is doing teasers of lightning deals. Previously they gave us a 20+ hour heads-up in the Gold Box. Now the maximum future visibility we all have is four hours. More specifically four hours from the top of the hour, so it’s somewhere between 3-4 hours depending on when you check.

This means I can no longer do the nightly schedule posts because I can only “see” 3-4 hours ahead instead of 20+ hours.

Instead, I started using a brand new Gold Box tag (Bookmark This if you like; there’s also a link to it in the Blog Sidebar). I am using this blog tag to mark all the posts that talk about Amazon Lightning Deals, so you when you string them all together, you see the latest lightning deal posts.

Adorama’s Best of Canon, Nikon and Sony

Adorama has created a nice visual page with their Best Canon, Nikon and Sony offers from the latest round of instant savings. This is very handy because I can’t find time to create summaries or even go through all the Instant Savings promotions of every manufacturer. For next Black Friday, I am definitely merging with IBM’s Watson 🙂

Heads Up: Another Wave Starts Friday at 12:01am ET

Another wave of Black Friday deals will go live on Friday starting at 12:01am eastern! So get ready 🙂 Here are some tips to make the most of this:

+ use the blue menu bar at the top to quickly check if you are interested in products from a particular Manufacturer or Camera Mount or Camera Type (DSLR, mirrorless, superzoom, etc)

+ if you want to catch up to all the posts you may have missed, under the “HOME” button there are baked-in links to the first five pages of this blog. You can open them in background tabs/windows and skim/scan them all

+ subscribe to the Full-Text RSS Feed (FREE)

+ if the website crashes or slows down and such, use the Feedburner RSS feed link above as a backup. It is hosted separately by Feedburner, so it’s not affected by what happens to the website

+ I was supposed to be updating the “Situation Room” in parallel but there are so many things to sift and post, I just haven’t found time to do yet

+ UPDATE: I forgot there was a Search Box on the website – I brought it up higher in the Sidebar so it should be above the fold on Desktops and Some Laptops. It’s below the Black Friday links.

Doorbusters: Blue Blackout Yeti Mic + Serious headphones for $144 to $175

The Blue Microphones Blackout Yeti microphone goes for $90 on its own, while the bundles headphones go for $200 each. So you are paying less than half on the bundles:

Speaking of headphones, Adorama has some real doorbusters as well:

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 (USA Warranty, Unlocked) for $780

SURPRISE! The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has a big sale, the Midnight Black color scheme goes for $780 while the Orchid Gray goes for $800. These are new condition, with USA warranty, unlocked, no contract, sold & shipped by Amazon itself with up to two per color per customer! 50 sheets of Fujifilm Instax Mini Instant Film for $30

The Instant Camera revival is so strong that it is currently headlining the Groupon Goods Black Friday sales. Good until Saturday night (or earlier if sold out) you can get 50 sheets of Fujifilm Instax Mini Instant Film for $30. These are five ten-packs which is handy if you plan to split among friends or add them to instant camera themed gifts.

Free shipping with orders of $34.99+. You can buy up to TEN sets of this, instead of the usual five. So if you max out, $300 gets you 500 sheets.

If you plan on making small purchases at Groupon throughout the holidays, they are offering a 90-day Free Shipping service for $15. During these 90-days, you don’t need a minimum of $34.99 to get free shipping. Note however that the free shipping only applies to products sold and shipped by Groupon, not by 3rd-party sellers who sell there [similar to how Amazon and NewEgg and Best Buy and others do it]

BUT if you don’t want the iconic green-white packets, B&H Photo has a 60 sheet Value Pack for $33.74 with free shipping. This is $0.56 per sheet, versus $0.60 per sheet at Groupon (assuming you buy enough to get free shipping).
