Refurbished Nikon D750 body only w/90-day Nikon USA for $1250

The Nikon D750 body only full framer goes for $1800 in new condition at authorized dealers that are bundling various free accessories with it, eg Adorama and B&H Photo

However, if you are comfortable with manufacturer refurbished DSLRs, the Buydig eBay store is offering the manufacturer refurbished Nikon D750 body only with a 90-day Nikon USA warranty for $1250 with free shipping with a limit of up to five per customer. Nearly 250 units got sold so far from this listing. This is among the buzzworthy Trending eBay Deals.

Official Canon USA store launches Black Friday Sale

The official Canon USA online store has launched their Black Friday sale. I will “digest” this later today, but in the meantime, if you are interested in Canonalia, be sure to visit it. Unfortunately my brain is a single-core Celeron, there’s only so much I can do. If only I was a hyper-threaded octacore 🙂

Manfrotto Stile Agile V Sling for $30 w/free S&H

Bag the bags action now! B&H Photo is offering the Manfrotto Stile Collection: Agile V Sling (bungee cord) for $30 with free shipping and handling as one of their latest deals.

PS: blog-planning wise, after I finish with this burst of updates, I will start assembling the Black Friday 2016 Situation Room, a “latest deals summary” type of a post.

Google Pixel (Verizon Wireless) for 24 monthly $10/mo installments [or Pixel XL for 24 monthly $20/mo]

Since smartphone cameras have improved dramatically over the years, I will now also include them under the “Other Cameras” umbrella blog-category.

Which brings us to a flagship smartphone promotion, Verizon Wireless is offering the new condition 32GB Google Pixel smartphone on a 24-month installment plan for $10 per month for 24 months on an installment plan. The total price you would pay over the 24 months is $240. This is done using 24 monthly bill credits that bring the price down. You are billed $27.08 per month (the phone’s regular price) but you get $17.08 bill credits monthly, making it $10 per month. It’s basically a faux-contract of sorts… Also eligible for the promotion is the 128GB version which comes out to $15 per month for 24 months after the bill credits. You can adjust colors and storage size on that listing…

Meanwhile the larger 32GB Pixel XL is offered for $20 per month for 24 months, in a similarly structured promotion. The 128GB Pixel XL goes for $25 per month.

UPDATE: the same $10 per month for 24 months on an Installment plan is also offered for the Samsung Galaxy S7.

Mike’s Camera B&M: $20 off $40+ single item (CO, CA)

At Mike’s Camera brick and mortar stores in Colorado and California (these are the only states they currently have stores in), until Cyber Monday, a coupon found in the print ad in the newspapers and also on the Weekly Ad section of their website gets you $20 off a single item priced $40 or more. The coupon is good until Cyber Monday. The coupon can only be used in-store. Here’s how it looks (it’s in the last page of their current Weekly Ad):

How to Keep up with the Madness (aka How to Make the Most of This Blog)

Posts here are flying fast and furious at this time of the year. Here are some tips to help you make the most of this blog:

+ you can quickly check the most recent five pages of posts using the quick links under the HOME button (top left corner of the blue Menu bar at the top of the page). Page #1 is the home page, Page #2 is the previous, and so forth. Here are the links for convenience: HOME page (aka Page #1) and PAGE #2 and PAGE #3 and PAGE #4 and PAGE #5

+ our customary “Black Friday Deals Situation Room”, a summary of the latest deals organized by camera/product type will go live at some point later on Thursday [I will add a link here once it goes live; UPDATE: link ADDED]

+ the Black Friday Brick and Mortar Ads are summarized by camera/product type and price-checked versus the internet in the Black Friday Ads digest post

+ use the Menu (blue bar at the top of the blog) to quickly navigate various categories and brands of interest, eg Nikon, Canon, etc or DSLR gear or Mirrorless Gear and so forth

+ new posts here are automatically posted on the Twitter account of the camera deals blog @cameradealsblog

+ if the website goes down or has slowdown issues, use the Feedburner RSS feed as a backup. It is hosted by Feedburner/Google, so it works even if the website is down

+ Subscribe or check the Feedburner full-text RSS feed

+ NOTE: if you are subscribed to the Feedburner Email Subscription, it can only send a maximum of 25 posts per day. During Black Friday and Cyber Monday there are often more than 25 posts per day. The Feedburner by Email subscriptions are strictly controlled by Google, webmasters have very little control over them in terms of customization
+ maybe I’ll explore a separate emailing list option, since, since the proliferation of MAP pricing, we don’t have as many deals that only last a few minutes and then are gone; so perhaps email subscriptions could be effective in the post-MAP world

+ for feedback, errors, corrections, omissions, hot deals, etc, please leave a comment or use the online contact form or twitter. If you see a glaring error that doesn’t get corrected even hours later, the chances are I haven’t noticed it, and if I don’t notice it, I can’t correct it 🙂

Internets Price-Match Canon D-Rebel T6i w/18-55 and 55-250 for $800

Amid this chaos, we continue to price-check the BF ads in the Black Friday Ads Digest post, the latest one to get matched by the internets is the Canon D-Rebel T6i two-lens kit with the 18-55 and 55-250 lenses for $800. The online match is at B&H Photo with 2% rewards, 32GB Sandisk, Canon bag, for $800 with free expedited shipping. As of the time of writing, this kit is not available at Amazon or Adorama (or I couldn’t find it).

Benro TMA28AHD2 Series 2 Mach3 Aluminum Tripod with HD2 3-Way Pan/Tilt Head for $100

Lexar 25-in-1 USB Card Reader for $15, Professional USB 3.0 Dual-Slot for $19 [limit 3 of each]

One of the many Amazon Gold Box daily deals for Thursday is a Lexar and Crucial sale that includes these two Lexar card readers, with a limit of three of each per customer, with the usual shipping terms, and an expiration date by 3am ET on Friday:

Adorama defeats the Black Friday Ads for the Canon D-Rebel T6 with free Canon Printer and Corel Software and more (T6 w/18-55 and 75-300 for $450)

The Canon D-Rebel T6 two-lens kit (18-55, 75-300) for $450 is perhaps the most advertised of DSLRs at the Black Friday Ads, offered at least at Office Depot/MAX and BJ’s Wholesale and HH Gregg and Target and Walmart and Best Buy.

Now this offer has been handily defeated by Adorama offering the following additional free accessories to the two-lens kit: Canon Pixma MX922 wireless AiO printer, and Corel software bundle (including PSP X8 and AfterShot PRO 2), extra 3rd-party battery, 58mm UV filter, 16GB SD card, and the obligatory cleaning kit.

B&H Photo offers 2% rewards ($9 in future purchases there) and 16GB Sandisk Extreme SDHC and Sunpak 58mm Filter Kit, while Amazon itself includes a 32GB Lexar Professional and a Wasabi charger with two extra Wasabi batteries [this is NOT edible Wasabi].

200GB Sandisk microSDXC for $50 w/free S&H [limit 10]

Some of today’s smaller cameras take microSD, in addition to smartphones and other other-camera products (action cameras, etc), which brings us to the black/red 200GB SanDisk Ultra MicroSDXC (SDSDQUAN-200G-G4A), one of the “rebels” to break out of the Powers-of-2 storage option scheme, on sale for $50 with free shipping at Amazon by Amazon herself with a limit of ten per customer.

Thursday: Pelican Case Sale (7 options, $27 to $140)

One of the Gold Box Deals du jour for Thursday is a sale on Pelican cases, seven models are featured, with prices ranging from $27 to $140. Limit three per model per customer.

(ENDED) Refurbished GoPro HERO3+ Silver Edition w/1yr warranty for $117 [limit 2]

This offer expired…

The Trending eBay Deals have their doorbusters too, the official GoPro eBay store is offering the manufacturer refurbished GoPro HERO3+ Silver Edition with a 1-year manufacturer warranty, sealed in factory packaging, for $117 with free shipping with a limit of two units per eBay buyer.

PS: I have now separated action cameras, drones, 360 cameras and such from the Fixed Lens Cameras category which is now only including conventional P&S digital cameras. The rest of them (GoPros, DJIs, 360-cameras, etc) go under the all-encompassing Other Cameras category.

Pinnacle Studio 19 software for $10 (PC)

Happy Thanksgiving to one and all! The Black Friday madness has began and/or continues…

The Pinnacle Studio 19 software is down to $9.62 as a digital download (PC) or $9.67 as a software box (PC) (limit 3) at Amazon by Amazon itself. Free S&H for Prime or with a $49+ order. The PC download is free delivery for all. Note that oF the 12 customer reviews, five of them are 1-star complaining of issues.

(SOLD OUT) 4TB Seagate Expansion USB 3.0 Desktop External Hard Drive for $90 [limit 5]

As of a 9:37pm ET recheck, this sold out: The eBay Deals have their own Black Friday sales, in a herding cats type of a fashion, and among them, there’s a 4TB external hard drive for $90! The BuyDig eBay store is offering the new condition 4TB Seagate Expansion USB 3.0 Desktop External Hard Drive, model STEB4000100, for $90 with free shipping, with a limit of five per buyer. Nearly 500 units have been sold in the last 24 hours per the statistics-in-red-ink over there.

Speaking of storage, the fish-stick or fries equivalent in storage these days are the USB flash drives, so if you want some more fries, the Thursday Lexar and Crucial storage has the following:

+ 256GB Lexar JumpDrive S75 USB 3.0 Flash Drive (model LJDS75-256ABNL, White) for $36.75
+ 128GB Lexar JumpDrive S75 USB 3.0 Flash Drive (model LJDS75-128ABNL) for $19

(ENDED) Mango Spot Lens Cup for $8 (ends Fri 2:45am ET)

This deal zoomed out of existence but I believe this is a recurring lightning deal, so it will likely come back in the future…

And now to something fun in single figures, the 12oz Mango Spot Lens Cup is on sale for $8 in either the black or white color schemes by the maker with the order fulfilled by Amazon. This is a Lightning Deal ending by 2:45am ET on Friday or earlier if sold out. As of 11:41pm ET, the white is 67% claimed and the white with the transparent lid is 44% claimed. (ENDED) Ends Fri 6am ET: BlackRapid RS-Sport Extreme Sport Strap for $40 w/free S&H

This flash sale expired… This is a flash sale that ends by 6am ET on Friday, the BlackRapid RS-Sport Extreme Sport Strap is going for $40 with free shipping at B&H Photo in the black color scheme.

(SOLD OUT) Friday: Canon D-Rebel T6 w/18-55 and 75-300 for $399 with Meh warranty

As of 8:21pm ET recheck, this sold out…

The Meh deal of the day for Black Friday is usurping the official Black Friday Ads by offering the Canon D-Rebel T6 two-lens kit (18-55, 75-300) for $50 less. They can do this because they are not authorized Canon dealers, so their kit comes with a 1-year warranty from Meh, not Canon USA.

The Canon USA blessed kit goes for $450 by various sellers that offer a variety of free accessories.

The way Meh explains the whole MAP thing is very refreshing:

(ENDED) Woot-OFF in most Sub-Woots including Electronics

This round of Woot-OFFs expired on Saturday at 1am ET… I don’t know if they plan another one for Cyber Monday, or as I like to call it, Cider Monday 🙂

Like a virus, the Woot-OFF has moved to almost all the sub-Woots including Electronics Woot and Computers, the most likely ones to feature camera and photo related items. The main Woot is back to normal though. As usual these run in 24 hour multiples, so it will continue at least until 1am ET on Saturday. As usual, YMMV on what they’ll offer and how good the prices will be.

Adorama Black Friday specials go live

The Adorama Black Friday Specials are now live, featuring specials from Canon, Nikon, Sony, Olympus, Panasonic, and Fuji. A total of 28 products are participating. You can click on the manufacturer names over there if you want to jump directly to their sections, or page down until you reach them.

New Woot-OFF started Thursday 1am ET

A Black Friday shopping circus is not complete without a Woot-OFF, so of course it’s here, it started at a 1am ET on Thursday, Woot-OFF at the main Woot… The sub-Woots are not participating. These typically last in multiple of 24 hours. As usual, I have no clue what’s coming up, so it is a YMMV DIY adventure if interested…
