Speaking of Sandisk and storage, to the eBay Deals we geaux, where the official Best Buy eBay store is offering the new condition 256GB SanDisk Cruzer USB 2.0 Flash Drive for $44 with free shipping or free store pickup (where available/possible). Limit up to three units per customer. Note that this is a USB 2.0 drive.

On the storage front, the combined Office Depot – Office Max has an online doorbuster of sorts, the 128GB Lexar S57 USB 3.0 Flash Drive is on sale for $20 each. You can buy as many as you like. Store pickup varies by store. Free delivery on orders of $35+ (eg two of these).
Also at Office Depot-MAX, among their Weekly Rewards Offers (page down towards the bottom over there) you can get the previously mentioned 16pk of Duracell single-use AA or AAA batteries for $0.01 (+ Sales Tax (if applicable) on the full amount) after Rewards. These are eligible for online purchase, so you can also get to free shipping with a combination of these and the Lexar flash drive mentioned above.
And now a mini storage round-up. If you need a 500GB external hard drive that comes with its own carrying case, B&H Photo is offering the 500GB HGST Touro S Ultra-Portable External Hard Drive (Gold) plus an HGST carrying case for $34 with free shipping and handling. Limit up to four per customer. This is a limited time sale (expiration date not mentioned).
If you need USB storage but don’t need speed, the 128GB SanDisk Cruzer Glide CZ60 USB 2.0 flash drive (SDCZ60-128G-B35) at Amazon by Amazon itself (limit up to five per customer).
If you are looking for a Samsung microSD card, their 32GB Samsung 80MB/s EVO Select Micro SDHC Memory Card (MB-ME32DA/AM) goes for $10 with a limit of up to three per customer by Amazon itself.
The prices of USB flash drives continue to drop, for example, for $50 with free shipping you can get this 256GB Sandisk Ultra USB 3.0 Flash Drive (SDCZ48-256G-A46) at Amazon by Amazon itself with a limit of up to three per customer. This is not a lightning deal.
If you are a fan of Toshiba storage, trending at the Trending eBay Deals, eBay seller “RefurbForLess” (98.7%, California) is offering new condition 64GB Toshiba U362 USB 3.0 Retractable Flash Drive for $13.50 with free shipping. Limit up to fifty units per customer. Over 2750 units sold so far from this listing.
PRO BUSINESS TIP: don’t put “used” or “refurb” in your store’s name if you plan to also sell new condition items 🙂
If you don’t need high speed copying/reading, the 128GB PNY Attache USB 2.0 Flash Drive (model P-FD128ATT03-GE) is on sale for $20 at Amazon by Amazon itself with a limit of up to ten units per customer.
The price for PoNY rides increased three fold as of a 12/12/16 recheck. In other words, this deal is dead as a doornail…
The 64GB Sandisk Ultra Dual USB 3.0 and Micro USB flash drive is currently on sale for $19 with free shipping at Adorama while the 128GB version goes for $37 plus shipping (and “TOOS”)… Meanwhile the 64GB SanDisk USB Connect Wireless Stick goes for $30 with free shipping… Offers end 12/10/16 or earlier if sold out…
UPDATE: the 128GB version of the Dual Drive is in-stock for $40 with free shipping at B&H Photo.
In addition to the previously mentioned under the radar Lexar sales at Amazon for Tuesday, there is a sale on the 256GB Lexar USB 3.0 flash drive (model LJDS75-256ABNL) for $49 that is either manufacturer-initiated or a series of cascading price-matches at Adorama and B&H Photo and Office Depot (one way to spend any available/remaining/expiring ODP rewards) and Amazon itself.
These daily deals expired…
If you like to transfer/backup files between phones/tablets and computers and other full-size USB devices, the 64GB PNY DUO-LINK USB 3.0 OTG Flash Drive is on sale for $15 with a limit of up to ten per customer at Amazon by Amazon itself. On the same listing you will also find the 128GB version for $30, with the same limit of up to ten per customer.
This has two connectors, a full-size USB 3.0, along with a micro-USB on the other end. It supports USB OTG, so as long as your phone/tablet supports this in both hardware and software/firmware, you should be able to connect to it from either device. As far as I know, you can’t use as a “land bridge”, eg use both connections at the same time (although I haven’t tried it with this particular model).
The usual free shipping terms apply, Prime or $25+/$49+.
Meanwhile according to the lightning deals schedule, the Lightning connector version of this is scheduled to go live on Tuesday at 3am ET. It is not currently on sale.
Speaking of USB flash drives, the USB 2.0 16GB Sandisk Cruzer Blade CZ50 goes for $5.50 but it is an Add-On item, so you need a $25+ order in order to buy it. Storage has dropped enough in price now that the material and product overhead becomes a bigger cost factor. In other words, you can get better bang for the buck with higher storage options.
Speaking of USB 3.0 flash drives, the 64GB Centon Electronics model S1-U3P6-64GB is on sale for $13.49 with a limit of up to three per customer at Amazon by Amazon actual. The usual free shipping terms apply.
Speaking of Amazon and storage, this 8TB Seagate Expansion Desktop External Hard Drive (USB 3.0, model STEB8000100) goes for $170 with free shipping with a limit of up to five per customer. This is not color-coded, but you can add round sticky labels (such as these) on them to color code them on the fly 🙂
And now a flash drive doorbuster at the eBay Deals, eBay seller “Refurb for Less” (98.8%, California) is offering the new condition [PRO TIP: choose your eBay names carefully!] 32GB Toshiba USB 3.0 Flash Drive (model PFU032U-1BRG) for $11 with free shipping, with a limit of five per customer.
This is a retractable flash drive, not a detachable. The one picture there is confusing, you may think it’s a tiny thing like the Sandisk Ultra Fit, but it’s not. Look at the pictures further down the description at Amazon to get a better feel of its size and shape and usage.
It turns out that they should have kept the limit of one per customer, because as of 1:45pm ET, this is sold out and cannot be ordered…
One of the many Amazon Gold Box daily deals for Thursday is a Lexar and Crucial sale that includes these two Lexar card readers, with a limit of three of each per customer, with the usual shipping terms, and an expiration date by 3am ET on Friday:
As of a 9:37pm ET recheck, this sold out:
The eBay Deals have their own Black Friday sales, in a herding cats type of a fashion, and among them, there’s a 4TB external hard drive for $90! The BuyDig eBay store is offering the new condition 4TB Seagate Expansion USB 3.0 Desktop External Hard Drive, model STEB4000100, for $90 with free shipping, with a limit of five per buyer. Nearly 500 units have been sold in the last 24 hours per the statistics-in-red-ink over there.
Speaking of storage, the fish-stick or fries equivalent in storage these days are the USB flash drives, so if you want some more fries, the Thursday Lexar and Crucial storage has the following:
+ 256GB Lexar JumpDrive S75 USB 3.0 Flash Drive (model LJDS75-256ABNL, White) for $36.75
+ 128GB Lexar JumpDrive S75 USB 3.0 Flash Drive (model LJDS75-128ABNL) for $19
+ 128GB Lexar JumpDrive P20 USB 3.0 Flash Drive (model LJDP20-128CRBNA) for $37.49
+ limit three of each; ends by Fri 3am ET
On the storage front, the 4TB Seagate Backup Plus External USB 3.0 hard disk drive is on sale for $110 with free shipping, in new condition, at Amazon by Amazon itself. Four different colors are available at this price, with a limit five per color per customer. If you like to color code your storage (eg tiers of backups, or importance of data, or color-code quarters or years), the four different colors give you that option. You also get 200GB of cloud storage.
PS: if you buy multiple of the above, I don’t know if there’s a limit of how many 200GB “clouds” you can add to your cloud storage account. Often times, in situations like this, they have limits of one promotional bonus per account, but I have no way of testing this.
Speaking of storage, if you don’t need quick access, the 64GB PNY Attache USB 2.0 Flash Drive (model P-FD64GATT03-GE) goes for $10 (limit ten per customer), while the 128GB version of that goes for $18 (also limit ten per customer).
Speaking of storage, if you want to use memory cards as extra storage for your laptops, this brand new 128GB PNY Ultra Thin Notebook Memory Storage, model P-ULTRA128U1-233W-HT, goes for $35 with a limit of ten per customer.
As of 11/4/16 AM recheck, the price increased to $7.50, still with free S&H, as is everything at A4C…
If you are looking for a USB flash drive to use both full size USB 2.0 ports along with microUSB ports (as long as your phone/tablet supports OTG), among the A4C daily deals is the new condition 16GB Sony MicroVault Dual USB 2.0 Drive offered for $6 with free shipping, with a limit of one unit per customer.
Another “$5 gadget” item, it’s trending at the Trendy eBay Deals, the A4C eBay store is offering the new condition 8GB ADATA (C008) Capless Sliding USB 2.0 Flash Drive for $5 with free shipping. If you buy three of more items (this or any other combination of eligible items from them), you get a 5% discount on the sale prices. Limit 50 USB sticks per customer. The sliding mechanism is via a thumbelina type of a red button (judging by the picture, I haven’t seen this in person).
One of the A4C daily deals is the new condition 16GB Sony Microvault Dual USB Flash Drive for $8 (was $7) w/free S&H. You can buy as many as you want. The Dual part is because storage is accessible two different ways, from a full size USB 2.0 connector or a microUSB connector. Remember, your phone/tablet must support OTG in hardware and software for the microUSB connection to work. This is more something to check for older phones since newer phones (at least ones with microUSB that is) support it.

On the storage front, the official Best Buy store is offering the new condition 256GB PNY Turbo USB 3.0 Flash Drive for $48 with free shipping (or free store pickup) with a limit of 10 units per customer.
On the storage front, especially if you frequently transfer files between full-size USB and micro-USB devices, the 128GB SanDisk Ultra 128GB Dual USB Drive 3.0 (model SDDD2-128G-G46) is on sale for $27.78 at Amazon by Amazon itself. Limit 30 units per customer with the usual free shipping terms. One side is full size USB 3.0, the other is micro USB. Of interest if you have phones/tablets/2-in-1s/etc that support OTG on the micro-USB input. If you don’t need the dual input, you can get better prices with standard flash drives. Note that only one side is active, you can’t use it as a “bridge” between two devices (as far as I can tell).
Ideally I would prefer to organize all the storage-related offers in a single round-up but the offers come at all times and from all directions, it’s a bit of a herding cats type of thing, since some of them expire quickly.
Speaking of storage, the brand new 256GB Lexar USB 3.0 Flash Drive (JumpDrive S57) is now in-stock and shipping, going for $55 with free shipping at B&H Photo and Amazon by Amazon itself. The 256Gb option currently “defeats” the rest of the models in its own line (16GB to 256GB). This promises up to 150MB/sec transfer speed and 256-bit encryption. It has a sliding cover.
Storage prices continue to trend downwards, as it is often the case, barring any foreseen and unforeseen circumstances, and among today’s daily deals, the 128GB PNY Turbo Attaché 4 USB 3.0 Type A Flash Drive is on sale for $26 at Best Buy with free store pickup or free shipping with $35+ order.
PS: with “USB-C” becoming more prevalent, you may see more listings mentioning products as “USB Type A” which is the standard USB size found in desktops/laptops. Everything you want to know on the USB format at Wikipedia. As with everything done by committee, there are goofy things, like USB 3.0 is also known as USB 3.1 First Generation 🙂
They are almost giving these away, the 64GB Lexar JumpDrive S50 USB 2.0 Flash Drive, in purple, model LJDS50-64GABNL, is on sale for $8 at Amazon by Amazon itself. Limit three per customer with the usual free shipping terms. This particular line is color-coded, so the purple is 64GB, the green is 32GB, the teal is 16GB, the carrot is 8GB. The 64GB beats them all in price, let alone GB/$. This is not a lightning deal, so expiration date unknown/market-driven.
If you like your USB flash drives to have metal casing and a keyring (because Samsung), the 128GB Samsung BAR USB 3.0 Flash Drive, model MUF-128BA/AM, is on sale for $30 at Amazon by Amazon itself (limit three per customer; usual S&H terms) and Beach Camera on eBay (no limits) and NewEgg Business (no limits)… The 64GB goes for $18…
On the other hand, if you prefer the really small USB flash drives that you can attach to a laptop or other devices and they won’t stick out like a sore thumb, the 128GB Samsung Fit USB 3.0 Flash drive (model MUF-128BB/AM) is on sale for $28.50 at Amazon by Amazon itself (limit three) and Adorama and B&H Photo and NewEgg.
If you like to use flash drives to transfer files between your different devices that use full-size USB and micro-USB, the 64GB Sandisk Ultra Flash Drive with Two Connectors (USB 3.0, microUSB, OTG), model SDDD2-064G-G46, is on sale for $16.72 with a limit of 30 per customer at Amazon by Amazon itself.
If you prefer the 32GB version, it goes for $9 with free shipping by Best Buy on eBay.
PS: for the microUSB OTG to work on your phone/tablet, your device must support it both in hardware and software.
PS2: as far as I know you cannot use this as a direct bridge, I think only one side can be active at any time, but I haven’t tested all options with all devices.
Tiny USB flash drives are all the more useful these days with USB OTG and smaller slimmer laptops, which brings us to Lexar’s answer to this genre, their 128GB Lexar JumpDrive S45 USB 3.0 Flash Drive, model LJDS45-128ABNL, going for $27 at Amazon by Amazon itself.
Transcend is in the game too, their 64GB Transcend Jetflash 710 USB 3.0, model TS64GJF710S, going for $24 at Amazon by Amazon itself in silver and slightly more in gold. The 32GB goes for $12.50, and the 16GB goes for $8. The gold color schemes cost slightly more.
If you don’t need the smaller form factor and instead prefer more conventional flash drives, the 128GB PNY Turbo USB 3.0 Flash Drive (P-FD128TBOP-GE) goes for $20 at the Staples website with a limit of ten per customer. Free store pickup or free shipping if you are a Staples Rewards member (free to join).
On the other hand, if you prefer a Flash Drive that solves the Indecision 2016 problem, the 128GB SanDisk Ultra Dual USB Drive 3.0 (model SDDD2-128G-G46) goes for $30. One side is USB 3.0 full size, the other side is micro-USB, so you can access the storage from either side (but not both at the same time, it’s not a “data bridge”).
If you like USB 3.0 flash drives of the retractable kind, at the moment the 128GB PNY Elite X USB 3.0 Flash Drive, model P-FD128EX-GE, is on sale for $25 with a limit of five per customer at Amazon by Amazon itself. The usual free shipping terms apply.
If you prefer those small ones that can almost disappear into a laptop, the 128GB Samsung continues to go for $28.50.
Speaking of laptops, for a very limited time only, the brand new Dell 15.6″ Inspiron 15 7000 Series is on sale for $750 with free S&H at B&H Photo. This is a brand new model, Core i7-6700HQ, 16GB RAM, 1920 x 1080 IPS, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M GPU (4GB GDDR5), 1TB HDD with 8GB SSD Cache, Win10, etc.
Sometimes Samsung forgets to turn off the copy machine during product design that they end up copying the name too. Case in point, Sandisk calls their tiny USB flash drives Ultra Fit, so Samsung felt compelled to calls their “Fit” too 🙂
Joking aside, there is a sale, the 128GB Samsung USB 3.0 Flash Drive Fit, model MUF-128BB/AM, with Water proof, Shock proof, magnet proof, temp proof, and X-ray proofness and a 5-year warranty is on sale for $36.50 at Amazon by Amazon itself with a limit of three per customer (usual shipping terms), along with NewEgg (limit 20; free S&H) and if they run out, it goes for $29 with free shipping at Adorama.
These can be really handy when you don’t want the flash drives to protrude, eg laptops, front of desktops, media players, phone/tablet USB-OTG connections, etc. On the other hand, these are easier to lose because of their size 🙂
We are grouping various memory card and storage offers in a single post to help keep things more organized and easier to skim and scan…
… we start with the black color scheme of the 2TB Western Digital Elements USB 3.0 Portable External Hard Drive (model WDBU6Y0020BBK-EESN), offered for $70 with free shipping with a limit of three per customer at Amazon by Amazon itself. This is not a lightning deal, so expiration date is unknown (either a sale on its own or a price-match)…
If Thunderbolt (and Lightning) is not very very frightening, at Best Buy, one of their daily deals for Monday only is the 3TB G-Technology G-DRIVE with Thunderbolt External USB 3.0 Hard Drive (Silver) offered for $200 with free shipping or pickup.
If you are fond of retractable USB 2.0 flash drives, the 128GB SanDisk Cruzer Glide CZ60 USB 2.0 Flash Drive (mdoel SDCZ60-128G-B35) is on sale for $20 at Amazon by Amazon itself with a limit of five per customer.
If you are looking for a microsD card that comes with a full size SD adapter, and don’t want to fight conventional packaging, the 64GB Transcend microSDXC Class 10 UHS-1 (up to 60MB/s model TS64GUSDU1PE) is on sale for $14 at Amazon by Amazon itself with a limit of 30 per customer. This ships in frustration free packaging, so depending on how it ships, you may score some of those sturdy reusable/recyclable little cardboard boxes.
ADDED: the official NewEgg ebay store is offering the new condition 120GB HyperX FURY 2.5″ SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD), model SHFS37A/120G, for $40 with free shipping with a limit of five units per customer.
ADDED: the official NewEgg ebay store is offering the new condition 5TB Seagate Expansion USB 3.0 3.5″ Desktop External Hard Drive (model STEB5000100, Black) for $110 with free shipping with a limit of five per customer.
I will append anything else related to this post during the day…
Backups on the whole lifecycle of photography are more important than they are given credit for, because it’s not one of the sexier parts of the photography process. But it’s good to have backups and multiple options. Which brings us to USB Flash drives. The 256GB PNY Turbo Elite USB 3.0 Flash Drive, model P-FD256TBO-GE, is on sale for $55 with free shipping, with a limit of ten per customer at Amazon by Amazon itself. It currently “defeats” the other storage sizes in its own line (32GB, 64GB, 128GB).
If you like retractable USB 3.0 flash drives and pirates (did we miss the Talk Like a Pirate Day?), the 32GB Corsair Flash Voyager Slider USB3.0 Flash Drive is on sale for $9 with a limit of five per customer at Amazon by Amazon itself. Free shipping for Prime members or with the usual $49+/$25+ for non-members. In terms of $/GB, the 128GB “defeats” it at $33 if you need/want/prefer more storage instead of multiple smaller ones.
This daily sale expired but every few weeks Amazon has some kind of a Computer Accessories sale…
Continue reading “(ENDED) PC Sale: 480GB SSD for $96, 960GB OCZ SSD for $190 1.92TB Extreme Portable SSD for $600, 23.8″ Dell for $115, 128GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive for $22, Etc [ends Tue 3am ET; limit 3 of each]”
In this post we round up some storage-related offers, all in one post to keep things relatively organized. Here we go:
+ 4TB Seagate Backup Plus Portable External Hard Drive for $105 with free shipping by NewEgg’s eBay store (limit 5)
+ PNY Metal Attaché 32GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive for $5.50 (limit 5; Temporarily Out Of Stock) by Amazon itself
+ … and now to the other end of the performance spectrum…
+ 128GB SanDisk Extreme PRO CZ88 USB 3.0 Flash Drive (model SDCZ88-128G-G46) for $56~ by Amazon itself
+ 120GB Silicon Power S55 2.5″ 7mm SATA III Internal SSD (model SP120GBSS3S55S25) for $32 (not a Lightning Deal)

+ 32GB for $10, 64GB for $20, 128GB for $40
+ this is a brand new release
+ Google Chromecast (latest model) for $30 with free shipping with a limit of five by Google’s eBay store ~ YES, they opened an eBay store!
In other storage related action, the BuyDig eBay store is offering the new condition 64GB Lexar microSDXC UHS-I 633X in bulk packaging for $15 with free shipping, with a limit of 50 per customer. This is brand new with USA warranty. “Bulk packaging” in this case is their version of what Amazon calls “frustration free packaging”.
As of 6/4/16, the price increased to $29:
Depending on your storage strategeries, if you are interested in USB 3.0 flash drives, the 128GB SanDisk Ultra Flair USB 3.0, model SDCZ73-128G-G46, is on sale for $25 at Amazon by Amazon actual, with a limit of five per customer. The usual free shipping terms apply (Prime or $25+/$49+).
If there are any other storage offers in the next few hours I will append them here so I don’t a new storage post every couple of hours.
These offers expired, but storage/PC accessory sales return every few weeks in different formations at the Amazon Gold Box…
And now let’s round up some storage-related things, it saves space and readability to get multiple ones in a single post, headlined by the 128GB Lexar JumpDrive S75 USB 3.0 Flash Drive, model LJDS75-128ABNL, on sale for $24 with a limit of five per customer at Amazon by Amazon itself. In terms of GB/$, this slightly defeats the 256GB version which goes for $50 (limit 30 for this one). Free shipping for Prime members or with a $49+ order.
On the SDXC front, the 64GB Sony Class 10 UHS-1 SDXC up to 70MB/s Memory Card (SF64UY2/TQ) is on sale for $15 each, with a limit of 30 per customer, at Amazon by Amazon itself. This is the “up to 70MB/sec” model. It currently soundly “defeats” in GB/$ the other storage options (8GB to 256GB) in its own sub-line.
Next up, in the land of the eBay Top 100, the BuyDig eBay store is offering a rather unusual promotion, the 128GB Lexar Class 10 633x microSDXC Memory Card along with a $30 Vudu credit and a 3-month Rhapsody music subscription membership for $40 with free shipping. Limit five per customer. The memory card is in Bulk packaging but with a full warranty and is in new condition per the eBay listing. The Vudu/Rhapsody offers are explained further down the product description.
This is perhaps for the more adventurous shoppers, the manufacturer refurbished 2TB Hitachi Ultrastar 7K3000 3.5″ Internal Hard Drive (model HUA723020ALA641) for $35 with free shipping by eBay seller “RefurbForLess” (99.1%, ships from Californication), with a limit of five per customer.
