Amazon Warehouse Deals sells used and refurbished items. Just like the regular new condition Amazon purchases, both Amazon itself and 3rd-party sellers are offering products. As usual, be careful when seeing “Just Launched” or otherwise iffy sellers, especially if they are offering the product for the lowest price or a too good to be true price or ask you to contact them before buying.

In other Amazon Prime deals, the certified refurbished Amazon Echo goes for $90 in black or white, with a limit of one color per customer. Offer ends by 3am ET on Sunday or earlier if they sell out of them.

It’s the rise of the machine! The Amazon Price Bots are at it again, they have price-matched a 3rd-party seller, so currently the Ricoh GR II Big Sensor Prime is going for $569 with free shipping at Amazon by Amazon itself. Limit three per customer. Shhhh, don’t tell the grown-ups 🙂 It currently goes for $659 at B&H and Adorama.

If you are tempted by the Sigma Foveon DSLRs but don’t want to spend the big bucks to buy in new condition, one lucky photographer can get the Sigma SD1 Merrill body only in “Used – Good” condition for $692 with free shipping by Amazon Warehouse Deals itself. If of all the Fuji X system cameras it is the X-T1 body only the one you want, it is currently available in used condition starting at $630 at B&H Photo with free expedited shipping. This is a Condition 9. They also have higher and lower conditions. Make sure to check under the “In the Box” section for each individual used listing to see which ones of the original accessories are included. The included accessories affect price and you may or may not need them depending on what other accessories you already have.
Used products sold at the B&H Photo website come with a 90-day warranty from B&H Photo, not the manufacturer.
On the other hand, if you prefer refurbished, and want the 18-55mm F2.8-4.0 lens as well, the X-T1 with 18-55 kit is offered in Certified Refurbished condition by Dealfisher fulfiled by Amazon for $855~ with free shipping. Since it is fulfilled by Amazon, it is Prime eligible, and it ships from Amazon’s warehouses, which makes potential returns and customer service more streamlined since you deal with Amazon, not the 3rd-party seller.
Note that “certified refurbished” is an Amazon term as it refers to products sold on their website under the “Certified Refurbished” banner. Among others things they offer a minimum of a 90-day warranty. This is Amazon’s Help Page on certified refurbished. And this is a listing of Certified Refurbished products on their website.
Note also that “certified refurbished” does not necessarily mean “manufacturer refurbished” in Amazon’s “certified refurbished” context.
If you are comfortable with heavily used cameras, the first generation Olympus E-M5 body only is available in “Used – Very Good” condition starting at $244 [WAS $225; updated 7/3/17] plus shipping at Adorama. Their “Used – Very Good” condition is described in general as:
Appears well used and may include dings, scrapes/scratches, heavy brassing on body or LCD, but is in fully functional condition.
Make sure you also check further down the listing for potentially additional information, and also check under “What’s In the Box” to see what’s included in the package. Often times with used items you don’t get all the original accessories and packaging and such. Adorama offers a 90-day warranty of their own on the used gear they sell.

On the other hand, if you are comfortable with used lenses that have known issues, you can get the Nikon version of the Tamron 16-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD MACRO Zoom Lens for $309 plus shipping (starts at $8+) in “Used – Fair” condition at Adorama.
Make sure you understand the used condition designations at Adorama and read the details in the listing of each used item. This particular lens is described as “PLEASE NOTE: Lens does not auto focus; image quality will; be affected; cosmetic condition is V; may have other issues”. So fans of manual focusing 🙂
If any of these make you uncomfortable, do not buy! The new condition goes for $500 and bundled with freebies.
An update of the Stock Status Tracker is in progress. The Fuji X-T2 Graphite body only remains out of stock in new condition, but if you are comfortable with USED cameras, there are two used listings of it at Amazon Warehouse Deals by Amazon itself (their used subsidiary) for $1540 with free shipping in “Used – Like New” condition. Both have descriptions, and one of the two has actual pictures of the used cameras. As usual, used camera supplies are typically limited, especially for hard to find cameras.
This begins a burst of Stock update posts after updating the Stock Status Tracker. We start with the Fuji X-T2 with 18-55mm kit, out of stock in new condition, but available in “Used – Very Good” condition (repackaged) for $1662~ by Amazon Warehouse Deals itself. This is Amazon’s own USED sales persona, not 3rd party sellers.

If you are fond of used camera, the Fuji X-T2 with the 18-55 lens is available in “Used – Very Good” condition for $1662~ by Amazon Warehouse Deals actual. The new condition price for this kit at authorized dealers is $1900. The description is very spartan in this case…
Good news for all of you looking to find the Panasonic GH5 body only in-stock! As of the time of writing the camera is in-stock for its starting price of $2000 at Adorama and by a trio of recognizable eBay sellers, Samy’s Camera (eBay) (Southern California) and Kenmore Camera (eBay) (Washington, the Apple state) and Pixel Connection (eBay) (Ohio).
Meanwhile the estimate at B&H Photo is May 16, 2017, so if you are a B&H fan or have gift cards or rewards or store credit, that’s an option too. Keep in mind the “May 16” is an estimate and can change at any time as the estimates depend on various factors.
On the other hand, if you are a fan of buying used, you can get it for $1848~ in “Used – Like New” condition by Amazon Warehouse Deals itself. The listing says damaged original packaging, no cosmetic imperfections, and it has been tested and fully functional (not sure by who, and not sure how much the AWD camera testers know about customers). Amazon offers a 30-day return policy but makes no promise of a manufacturer warranty.
It is pure coincidence that I’m updating the Stock Status Tracker on Mondays, it’s supposed to get updated a lot more often, but time seems to fly faster and faster these days. Anyway, enough meta-talk, to the Fuji X100F-landia we go…

On the black X100F front, Amazon itself has a May 18 in-stock estimate as of the time of writing. Keep in mind these estimates change over time…
If you are a Prime member and pay with either the Chase Amazon VISA credit card or the Prime Store credit card, you will receive 5% back as a statement credit, which is no small change, it is $65~ given the current price.
If you are not a Prime member, and you pay with the Chase Amazon VISA credit card you get 3% back as a statement credit, around $39. Citibank’s Forward credit card used to offer 5% on Amazon, but unless you are in a grandfathered card that wasn’t switched over, they no longer offer it (as far as I can tell).

On the other hand, if you are a fan of buying used from eBay, an individual has a USED (eBay Auction) that ends on Tuesday at 10:30pm ET. As of the time of writing, the auction price is $1125 with 29 bids. Shipping is $12 from the state of MA.
UPDATE 5/13/17: the previous listing is sold out but there is a black X-T2 body only kit in the same condition going for the same price. The link below has been updated…
The new condition price for the Fuji X-T2 body only is $1600 at authorized dealers, but if you are comfortable with used camera gear, you can get it in “Used – Demo condition” for $1450 plus shipping at Adorama [UPDATED!]. Used camera gear at Adorama come with a 30-day return policy and a 90-day Adorama warranty. Shipping starts at around $15 and varies slightly by zipcode.
PS: USED items are not eligible for free 2-day shipping and extended returns of the Adorama VIP360 service (their Prime-competitor service). VIP360 also offers a free metal print from AdoramaPIX.

The Nikon D7100 body only is currently available in “Used – Very Good” condition for $449 plus shipping ($9+, varies by zipcode and option) at Adorama. Used items purchased at Adorama have a 30-day return policy and come with a 90-day warranty from Adorama.
This should not be confused with the manufacturer refurbished which goes for $590 and comes with a 90-day Nikon USA warranty.
Over 24,000 used items offered at Amazon’s Used websites (aka, “Amazon Warehouse Deals”) are participating in an Earth Day promotion that automatically gets you 20% off their current prices. Only select items are eligible, and only those that Amazon itself (in this case, Warehouse Deals itself) is the seller. Things offered by 3rd-party sellers are not eligible. No coupon code needed, eligible items are discounted automatically and they show a 20% off marker when you look at the individual listings. Since this is an Earth Day promotion, it should end after Earth Day or so.
New addition to the Stock Status Tracker, the Fuji GFX-50S, it is in-stock for $6500 at multiple dealers, but if you are comfortable with used, you can get it for $5979 by Amazon Warehouse Deals itself (Amazon’s used sales persona, Prime eligible for members), or for $6000 by OneCall (Prime eligible) with a 1-year warranty from OneCall. Amazon’s own Warehouse Deals only promises a 30-day return policy, they don’t promise a warranty. From there, Adorama has it in “Used – Demo” condition for $6349 plus shipping (which is very close to the new condition price).
It is in-stock in new condition for $6500 at the usual places, including Adorama and B&H Photo and Amazon. Keep in mind, B&H and Adorama orders will ship beginning Wednesday April 19.
PS: blanket warning reminder for Amazon ~ Amazon has yet to figure out how to block the armies of spam/scam/bot sellers that offer high-demand items at ridiculously low prices in order to harvest customer data (and who knows what else they plan). These are typically “Just Launched” sellers, and they ask you to email them before buying.
