With so many mirrorless systems and lens options, many of which are shrinking in size too, fixed lens cameras are becoming a harder sell for some, but thankfully not all. UPDATED 3/22/19 at 1am ET: In the US, the camera is now in-stock and ready to ship for its starting price of $900 at Adorama with free expedited shipping … Amazon itself went from a March 22nd estimate to “currently unavailable”… B&H Photo has a March 25 release estimate… As it is often the case with higher-demand lower-availability cameras, there’s often a bit of chaos during the initial release, so dates and estimates may change early and often. A silver lining that it mayhaps is a great choice since others are jumping in early as well 🙂 ..
Among the friday daily deals at Woot is the new condition Ricoh Theta S digital camera with its 360-degree thing, and 1/2.3″ sensor and f2 prime lens(e) and its one year Ricoh warranty. Limit up to ten per customer. Sale ends on Saturday at 1am ET or earlier if sold out…
This camera is not eligible for the 20% Prime Credit Card Statement credit promotion but it looks like a 3rd-party seller has “tricked” Amazon’s own price bots to price-match them, dropping the blue color scheme of the Ricoh Theta M15 360 Degree Spherical Panorama Camera to the very specific price of $98.24 with up to three units per customer at this price.
The other three colors range from $100 to $110 but they are sold by 3rd party seller “Kanga Supply” with the orders fulfilled by Amazon. Kanga also offers the blue for $98, which is what likely triggered Amazon’s own price to drop for that particular color.
