(OLDER POST) Canon G9X Lightning Deal on Tuesday

This is an older alert… for the latest update, follow the Gold Box Yellow Brick Road

While digging into the Amazon Gold Box, lost in a sea of recurring camera and photo accessories was this surprise “Upcoming” deal, the new condition Canon G9X rawsumer will be a lighting deal on Tuesday December 12.

The listing does not specify a time, so I don’t know if it will begin at 3am ET on Tuesday or later in the day. Here’s all the info the Gold Box provides:

PS: there is a small chance this may get cancelled or rescheduled. The vast majority of previously scheduled lightning deals go live as expected, but a small number of them get cancelled or rescheduled. I have no way of knowing this ahead of time.

(SOLD OUT) Canon SX530 HS Superzoom for $210

As of a 12/12/17 AM recheck, Amazon’s own listing is gone, and the only ones offering it through Amazon are 3rd-party sellers for its usual price of $250. There is a slimmer of hope it may return since Amazon itself did not raise the price, but rather yanked their listing…

Amazon gone wild! The new condition Canon SX530 HS superzoom is on sale for $210 with free shipping with a limit of up to three per customer. This is sold and shipped by Amazon itself. This is not a lightning deal, so expiration date is unknown. It averages 4.3 out of 5 based on 380+ customer reviews and has almost as many answered questions. This is a 50x optical zoom camera with a lithium-ion battery.

(ENDED) Still Good: Canon D-Rebel T5i with 18-55 for $449

Party’s over for this offer, the sale ended and it’s back up to $599…

This offer is continuing as of a Tuesday 12:15am ET, the new condition Canon D-Rebel T5i with 18-55 continuing for $449 with free shipping at B&H Photo. It is marked as a limited supply offer, no expiration mentioned this time.

Canon D-Rebel T6i with 18-55 and Pixma PRO 100 printer and Paper and Rode VideoMic GO and 32GB SD for $499 after $350 MIR (prepaid AMEX GC)

This may be a pretty good cause for a Rebel who is not afraid of mail-in rebates 🙂 Adorama is offering this Canon D-Rebel T6i Rode Pixma bundle for $499 after a $350 mail-in rebate (prepaid AMEX gift card). The bundle includes:

+ Canon D-Rebel T6i with 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM Lens Video Creator
+ the Video Creator kit is the Rode VIDEOMIC GO Microphone and 32GB Sandisk SD card
+ Canon PIXMA PRO 100 printer
+ its trusty sidekick, the SG-201, 50pk photo paper

See everything that’s included in the “What’s In The Box” section further down the Adorama product page on the right hand side of their website

This is a pretty loaded bundle. You can use it yourself, you can gift it to friends and family, you can keep the pieces you want and trade or gift the ones you don’t want, and so forth.

PS: if you don’t need the Rode Video Mic and 32GB SD card, you can get the standard T6i with 18-55 with the Pixma PRO 100 and paper and $20 eBay gift card for $450 after $350 MIR

Refurbished Canon G7 X Mark II w/1-YR W for $450 [or NEW with Pixma PRO 100 for $679 after $350 MIR]

The new condition Canon G7 X Mark II rawsumer goes for $679 in new condition at authorized dealers with free accessories (eg B&H Photo, various at Amazon) or if you are willing to do the mail-in rebate song and dance, you get it bundled with the Pixma PRO 100 printer and 50pk paper for $679 after a $350 mail-in rebate through Adorama.

But if you don’t want/need the Printer or hate the idea of doing mail-in rebates, but still want to get a 1-year Canon warranty, you can get it for $450 with free shipping as manufacturer refurbished from the Canon USA store. You also get a free Canon Leather Case PSC-5500.

Refurbished Canon G3X w/1-YR W for $500 [or NEW with Pixma PRO 100 for $799 after $350 MIR]

The Canon G3X RAWsumer goes for $800 in new condition at authorized dealers with free accessories such as B&H Photo, or if you don’t object to doing the mail-in rebate, you can get the G3X bundled with the Pixma PRO 100 printer and 50pk paper for $800 after a $350 mail-in rebate through Adorama.

But if you don’t want/need the Printer or hate the idea of doing mail-in rebates, but still want to get a 1-year Canon warranty, you can get it for $500 with free shipping as manufacturer refurbished from the Canon USA store. You also get a free Canon Leather Case PSC-6200.

Canon D-Rebel T6i with 18-55 & Pixma PRO 100 & $20 eBay GC & More for $450 after $350 MIR (prepaid AMEX GC)

If you are not afraid of mail-in rebates, then to the eBay Deals we go, where the BuyDIG eBay store is offering the new condition Canon D-Rebel T6i w/18-55 and Pixma PRO 100 printer and 50pk Canon SG-201 photo paper and Corel Paintshop PRO X9 and a $20 eBay Gift Card for $800 with free shipping.

After you receive the order, make sure all is well, follow the instructions and deadlines, submit the mail-in rebate (MIR), and if all is well, a few weeks later you will receive a $350 prepaid American Express gift card by mail, making this a very long sentence, and a $450 after the $350 MIR promotion.

If you want the D-Rebel T6i with 18-55 kit and a printer, but don’t want to deal with mail-in rebates and prepaid gift cards, you can instead get the T6i with 18-55 and the Pixma TS9020 printer for $600 at Adorama (no coupons, no rebates, just add to cart).

PS: if you are looking for other Canon DSLRs with mail-in rebate promotions, check the other offers in the Mail-In Rebate posts.

Canon D-Rebel T6i with 18-55 and Pixma TS9020 Printer and $24 Rewards for $599

Adorama is offering a Canon D-Rebel T6i with 18-55 and Pixma TS9020 Printer bundle for $599 with free expedited shipping, along with 4% promotional rewards ($24 to be spent in future Adorama purchases). The printer is included automatically, no coupons, no rebates. This is not the Pixma mail-in rebates. You just add the whole thing to the shopping cart and proceed to checkout.

Speaking of Adorama, they have a sale of various DSLR and iLC Camera Bundles from various manufacturers… They are also running a Cyber Monday 2.0 sale

Refurbished Canon M3 Body w/1-YR W for $329 [or w/15-45 for $399]

If you already have Canon mirrorless system lenses, or you are planning to use the lens mount adapter, or don’t want/need the “with 15-45mm” kits, another Canon mirrorless camera on the way out is the M3. The body remains available with some free accessories for $429 at Adorama, same price as mid early November when we posted the Mirrorless Price Charts.

But if you want to shave $100 off that price, and still get a 1-year warranty from Canon, you can get it for $329 in manufacturer refurbished condition (manurefurb) where it is one of the 38 cameras in their refurbished iLC sale.

It is in-stock as of the time of writing. I’m including this phrase in the Canon refurbished deal posts because some of the offers they have there are “out of stock” and cannot be ordered. By typing it in, it’s another safeguard in preventing me from posting unpurchasable deals 🙂

UPDATE: but if you want a “take pictures with” kit, you can get it in either black or white for $399 with a 1-year warranty in manufacturer refurbished condition. Both colors are in-stock as of the time of writing.

Refurbished Canon M10 w/15-45 + 1-YR W for $329

Another sale promotion featuring 38 refurbished Canon DSLRs and MiLCs is now in-progress at the official Canon USA outlet store, offering 1-year warranties on their manufacturer refurbished products as usual.

If you are curious about the Canon mirrorless system, but don’t want to break the bank, one of these offers, in-stock as of the time of writing, is the manurefurb (new proposed LOL term for “manufacturer + refurbished”) Canon M10 with 15-45mm in the black or the white color scheme for $329.

This is an older model on its way out (no longer available at Adorama or B&H), but you can get it in new condition for $450 by Samy’s Camera thru Amazon. This was already off the radar when we posted the Mirrorless Price Chart in early November 2017.

Woot Longer-Running Leftovers Sale: Canon APS-C DSLRs, refurb GoPROs, Energizer, Etc

Woot also has some longer-running Camera and Photo sales that are now continuing until they sell out (some of them), while others have a specific expiration date in the future. These are not daily deals…

+ refurbished GoPro CHDHS-101 Hero 4 Session with 90-day Woot warranty for $140
+ refurbished GoPro CHDHX-501 Hero 5 Black with 90-day Woot warranty for $300
+ new Canon 6D MARK II DSLR Camera with 24-105MM f/3.5-5.6 for $2070
+ new Canon Rebel T7i DSLR with 18-55 for $780
+ Neewer Li-ion Battery Replacement for Canon LP-E8 for $3.60
+ AmazonBasics Floating Hand Grip for GoPro for $2.44
+ Neewer Handgrip Holder Stabilizer Grip for $2.03
+ limit 3 of each
+ $5 flat shipping
+ see them all at the Camera and Photo sales

Strategically, the small $2-$3 items make sense to buy only if you are buying something else, since they have a $5 flat shipping. If you buy them on their own, the $5 flat shipping may or may not ruin the deal depending on how many of which item you want.

In a separate Batteries Sale they have a 620-pack of Energizer MAX AA alkaline batteries for $185, with a “Best by December 2026” date and a 1-year Energizer warranty.

Canon G9 X II with Pixma PRO 100 Printer and Paper for $329 after $350 MIR (prepaid AMEX GC)

The manufacturer refurbished first generation Canon G9 X went and continues to go for $250 at the Canon USA Outlet but as of the time of writing, both color schemes are out of stock and cannot be ordered.

In new condition, the Canon G9X goes for $400, while the second generation Canon G9X II goes for $430. But if you are not a afraid of mail-in rebates…

… Adorama has the Canon G9X II bundled with the Pixma PRO 100 printer and 50pk SG-201 photo paper for $329 after a $350 mail-in rebate (prepaid AMEX gift card) in the black G9X II color scheme or the the silver G9X II color scheme. Both are in-stock as of the time of writing.

If you are interested in both MIRs and Canon DSLRs, check our previous mail-in rebates posts for details.

Refurbished Canon D-Rebel T6S with 18-135mm for $549

Some people recommend getting the 18-135mm Canon lens instead of the 18-55 lens, but the price between the two parallel kits can be cost prohibitive for some. However, a compromise is here, the official Canon USA Outlet store is offering the manufacturer refurbished Canon D-Rebel T6S with f3.5-5.6 IS STM for $549~ with free shipping and a 1-year Canon USA warranty and a free Magnifier MG-Ef. It is in-stock as of the time of writing.

In new condition, this kit goes for $1000, such as Adorama and Amazon itself.

The D-Rebel T6S is on its way out. In price comparison, the T6S body only went for $700 in new condition at authorized dealers in early November when we posted the APS-C dSLR Price Charts.

Refurbished Canon 6D body for $899

More offers are coming in at the official Canon USA store, this time on the 35mm full frame front, it is the manufacturer-refurbished Canon 6D body only offered for $900 with free shipping and a 1-year Canon USA warranty and a free 5DS-shaped mini USB flash drive. This is a limited time sale thanks to a trio of instant savings promotions.

This an alternative option to two new condition Canon 6D offers that are currently running:

+ with your choice of Useful Freebies for $1199 (no rebates, no coupons)

+ with Pixma PRO 100 printer for $1199 after $350 MIR

Canon 6D Body with Pixma PRO 100 and Paper for $1199 after $350 MIR (prepaid AMEX GC)

Our earlier Canon 6D Freebies round-up was a mail-in rebate safe space. But if you don’t object to the mail-in rebates, and instead of a choice of various freebie options there (4TB HDD, LR6, 1-YR Pho Cloud, etc), you instead want the Pixma PRO 100 printer and don’t object to the mail-in rebate (MIR) and gift card song and dance…

… then for the same price of $1199 after $350 MIR (prepaid AMEX gift card), at Adorama, you can get the Canon 6D Body with Pixma PRO 100 + 50pk SG-201. No other freebies are included with this, so you are trading off the Pixma PRO 100 and rebate inconvenience VS a choice of LR6/Cloud/4TB/etc freebie…

If you like the Pixma rebate idea but want the 6D II or 5D Mk IV instead, check our earlier Mail-In Rebate Offers posts for those offers…

Canon 6D Body With Your Choice of Useful Freebies for $1199

The last couple of days we posted some of the biggest Canon DSLR + PIXMA bundles. But what if you hate mail-in rebates but still want a Canon 35mm full frame DSLR, and you’ve done the trade-offs and you prefer the 6D over the 6D II?

At B&H Photo, you have these options for $1199

At Adorama, you have these options for $1199

+ with Corel and Accessorapalooza: free Corel software bundle (five titles), 32GB Sandisk Extreme PRO, Canon shoulder bag, Flashpoint remote, release cable, card case and cleaning kit

Canon 6D II Body with BG-E21 Battery Grip and Pixma PRO 100 printer and Extras for $1349 after $350 MIR

Yesterday we broke down the Canon 7D II APS-C Pixma PRO 100 bundle, today it’s full frame day 🙂 We already mentioned the 5D Mark IV bundles, now it is time for the Canon 6D II bundles…

This is another “deal survivor”: offers that went live during Black Friday and Cyber Monday and still continue! The expiration date for this incarnation is Saturday 12/2/17 at 11:59pm ET, but keep in mind, B&H Photo does not accept orders between Friday PM and Saturday PM, so plan accordingly!

It is in-stock and ready to ship as of the time of writing! If you are not afraid of mail-in rebates, B&H Photo has a 6D Mark II Body Bundle for $1349 after a $350 mail-in rebate (prepaid AMEX GC). You get the 6D Mark II body only, the Canon BG-E21 battery grip, the Pixma PRO 100 printer and its 50pk SG-201 paper sidekick, a 64GB Sandisk Extreme SDXC and an extra Canon LP-E6N battery.

The same offer is also available on two other official 6D Mark II kits, in the same bundle of Printer and freebies and rebates as above:

+ 6D II with EF 24-105mm f/3.5-5.6 for $1749 after MIR
+ this is $400 more than the body only

+ 6D II with EF 24-105mm f/4L II for $2249 after MIR
+ this is $900 more than the body only

+ NOTE: the above two bundles come with different 24-105 lenses, so if you are switching between the various listings, make sure you are looking at the correct 24-105 lens bundle when you are ready to order.

These three bundles have the same price deltas in-between them as do the the three standard kits of $1699 (body) and $2099 (+$400) w/24-70 f3.5-5.6 and $2599 (+$900) with 24-105 f4L.

Canon 5D Mark IV Body with BG-E20 Battery Grip and Pixma PRO 100 printer and Extras for $2849 after $350 MIR

If you are not afraid of mail-in rebates and prepaid gift cards, B&H Photo has a Canon 5D Mark IV body only bundle for $2849 after a $350 mail-in rebate (prepaid AMEX GC). For that you get the Canon 5D Mark IV body only, the Canon BG-E20 battery grip, the Pixma PRO 100 printer and its 50pk SG-201 paper sidekick, a 64GB Sandisk Extreme SDXC and an extra Canon LP-E6N battery.

The same offer is also available on two other official 5D Mark IV kits, in the same bundle of Printer and freebies and rebates as above:

+ 5D IV with EF 24-70mm f/4L IS USM Lens for $3599 after MIR
+ this is $750 more than the body only

+ 5D IV with EF 24-105mm f/4L IS II USM Lens for $3749 after MIR
+ this is $900 more than the body

These three bundles have the same price deltas in-between them as do the the three standard kits of $3199 (body) and $3949 (+$750) w/24-70 and $4099 (+$900) with 24-105.

Canon 7D II Body & Wifi & Pixma PRO 100 & Paper for $1199 after $350 MIR (prepaid AMEX GC)

The Canon 7D II body only goes for $1500 at authorized dealers (eg B&H Photo and Adorama) or for $1550 bundled with the Canon Wifi kit (eg Amazon itself and B&H Photo).

The body only went for the same price of $1500 when I posted the APS-C DSLR Price Charts three weeks ago. A “smart” way by Canon to increase the price by adding the Wifi to the kit 🙂

However, if you are not afraid of mail-in rebates, you can get a much better deal. Adorama has a Canon 7D Mark II + Pixma PRO 100 printer bundle. You pay $1549 at checkout, receive the order, make sure all is well, file the mail-in rebates per instructions and deadlines, and a few weeks later you’ll receive a $350 prepaid AMEX gift card by mail if all is well. This makes it a $1199 after $350 MIR promotion. For that, you receive:

  • Canon 7D II body only
  • Canon Pixma PRO 100 printer
  • its sidekick, the SG-201 50pk 13×19″ photo paper
  • the W-E1 Wi-Fi Adapter Kit is included as part of the 7D II kit

PS: if you are interested in the 7D II with the 18-135, there’s a parallel offer for $1599 after $350 MIR.

Canon 7D II w/18-135 & Wifi & Pixma PRO 100 & Paper for $1599 after $350 MIR (prepaid AMEX GC)

The Canon 7D Mark II with the 18-135mm lens and the Wifi adapter kit goes for $1950 at authorized Canon USA dealers. Without the Wifi adapter kit, you can get it for $1850 at Adorama in new condition and with a free extra battery.

If you are a fan of imported grey-market cameras, you can get the 7D II with 18-135 in new condition (without the Wifi adapter) for $1409 with free shipping by 6ave on eBAY which includes a 1-year warranty provided by 6ave (not Canon USA).

If you wanna split the difference in terms of price between the two, and yet get more gear, then check out this Adorama 7D Mark II bundle. You pay $1949 at checkout, receive the order, make sure all is well, file the mail-in rebates per instructions and deadlines, and a few weeks later you’ll receive a $350 prepaid AMEX gift card by mail if all is well. This makes it a $1599 after $350 MIR promotion. For that, you receive:

  • Canon 7D II with 18-135mm IS USM lens
  • Canon Pixma PRO 100 printer
  • its sidekick, the SG-201 50pk 13×19″ photo paper
  • the W-E1 Wi-Fi Adapter Kit is included as part of the 7D II w/18-135 kit

PS: if you are interested in the 7D II body only instead, there’s a parallel offer for it for $1199 after $350 MIR.

Canon 1D X II drops to $5500

A $200 discount is a pretty nice amount, except when the price of the camera is $5700. Still, $5500 is better than $5700, $200 can get you more memory cards or extra batteries or camera bags 🙂 The 1D X II is now going for $5500 with free accessories at Adorama and 2% promotional rewards (that’s a nice sum of $110 to spend in the future) at B&H Photo.

No freebies at Amazon but that 5% statement credit if you pay with a Prime VISA or Prime Store credit card is $275! Note that the Discover Q4 5% Cashback is limited to $1500 per credit card, so you’ll only get 5% back on the first $1500 of this price.

Canon 77D body drops to $750

You also get some free accessories that vary by retailer at B&H Photo and Adorama and Amazon itself (no freebies).

PS: we already mentioned the Canon 80D discounts both the new condition and the manufacturer refurbished, so obviously I am not going to create another post for them.

Refurbished Canons: 38+ DSLR kits and 97+ Lenses

There are so many refurbished sales at Canon I can’t process/post them all individually right now, so here is are the overview listing. I don’t know why they create so many listings, and I don’t know if there is complete or partial overlap between the categories. It is situations like these where it would really help if I was IBM’s Watson and could start 200 background process to sort it out!

+ 38 refurbished DSLR kits
+ 21 refurbished DSLR kit
+ nine refurbished DSLR kits

+ 97 refurbished lenses and flashes and such
+ 11 refurbished lenses
+ 7 refurbished lenses (some are EF-M)
+ 6 refurbished lenses
+ 3 refurbished lenses
