While price-checking some cameras I noticed another trap for potential customers. It seems like the content farms and the content-generating bots have discovered another source of revenue, camera guides. There’s a bunch of these low-quality low-price (just look at the customer reviews!) that are available on Amazon. For example this one author has e-published 94 of them! Look at the number of pages too, how much can you say about a complicated camera in 13 pages?
UPDATE: Alexander S. White has written a lot of camera guides for various RAWsumers/serious-compacts and a number of his ebooks are currently on sale for $8 for the Kindle! You can find them all under his name.

2. if you go to the hardback/print version of the book, it may have “Look Inside” enabled. “Look Inside” often lets you jump all over the book, and that’s the best way to get a feel for it since you can read actual content, not just the beginning
PS: you can find out at any time how much no-rush shipping digital credits you have by doing to amazon.com/norushcredits – it’s easy to remember, no rush credits. As far as I know, there’s no way to tell ahead of time whether an ebook is eligible or not for no-rush-credits.
