Pay $50 more to get either the Canon EVF-DC1 or Mount Adapter Together with Canon M6 Kit Purchaase

The Canon M6 dropped $100 since we posted the Mirrorless Price Charts, currently going for $680 body only and $800 with 15-45 at authorized dealers such as Amazon and Adorama.

But the official Canon USA outlet store has two optional combined purchase discounts on the new condition Canon M6 kits (not the refurbished). Thanks to a combined purchase discount, you can get either the EVF-DC1 for $50 more or the Mount Adapter (EF/S lenses to EF-M bodies) for $50 more. I don’t know if you can get both discounts if you add them all to your shopping cart.

Canon M100 with 15-45mm and EF-EOS M Mount Adapter (EF/EF-S lenses on EF-M bodies) for $550

And now to the Canon mirrorless system we go. The new condition Canon M100 with 15-45mm goes for $500 with some free accessories at authorized dealers such as Adorama.

However, if you also want to buy the Canon Mount Adapter EF-EOS M together with the camera, the official Canon USA store’s Pre-Black Friday sale has a promotion that gets you a $150 off combined purchase discount if you buy together in the same shopping cart:

+ new condition Canon M100 with 15-45mm
+ new condition Canon Mount Adapter EF-EOS M (allows Canon EF or EF-S lenses to be mounted on EF-M mirrorless cameras)

This offer is mentioned on the product pages of both eligible cameras and the Mount Adapter.

The price math is this: $500 + $200 – $150 = $550 total.

Sony a6500 body only drops to $1200 [corrected]

CORRECTION 11/20/17 the blog post title originally said $1100 instead of $1200. Those sneaky $1199 prices still trick me 🙁

Panasonic G9 returns to Amazon

A few days ago the option to pre-order the Panasonic G9 at Amazon disappeared, but as of the time of writing, the option to pre-order this for $1700 has returned at Amazon. I have no clue why it disappeared. AI Bots Gone Wild? 🙂

You can see how it stacks up price-wise with other mirrorless camera in last week’s Mirrorless Price Chart. Its announcement came just as I was preparing the charts. If I was a day early, it wouldn’t have made it. So sometimes being late pays off 🙂

Speaking of Panasonic, a number of their M43rds cameras, lenses and fixed lens cameras are on sale. You can find them all under the Panasonic category, or under the Mirrorless section of the Black Friday 2017 Situation Room. It looks like mayhaps they are trying to steal a march on the other camera manufacturers by rolling out their sales earlier.

Olympus Travel Lens Kit (14-150mm f4-5.6 II and 17mm f1.8 and extras) for $699 [m43]

Official manufacturer created two-lens bundles are all the rage these days. Olympus too has joined the party with the official Olympus Travel Lens Kit with the 14-150mm f4-5.6 II and 17mm f1.8 micro four thirds lenses. It is currently on sale for $699 at Adorama (with $28 rewards) and at B&H Photo (with $28 rewards) and at Amazon itself (5% rewards with PRIME VISA) and Get Olympus. The kit also includes a lens pouch and a lens hood for each one of the lenses (they are of very different size obviously).

On their own, the 14-150mm II goes for $600 while the 17/1.8 goes for $400. So that’s a $300 combined purchase discount.

Fuji X-A10 with 16-50mm drops to $350

Another big discount this week. Last week the Fuji X-A10 with 16-50mm was going for $500 [see Mirrorless Price Charts]. This week it is down to $350 with free shipping at Amazon by Amazon itself (limit 3) and B&H Photo (with free 32GB Extreme SD and Bag) and at Adorama.

This is certainly a nice price for a “take pictures with” kit as an entry-level entry-point in the Fuji X system. But the Fuji X system has been around for a while now, so you have more options in the used market if you prefer a more advanced camera. The Fuji X-T1 is in this ballpark used, but its new condition price dropped too this week, it is back down to $800 at B&H Photo. However a few weeks ago, Fuji had a promotion on the X-T1 at this price, with a free 35mm f2 lens. I do not know if they are planning to bring back this promotion for the holiday shopping season.

Meanwhile the Fuji X-A3 with 16-50mm remains at $550 (eg Adorama), just as it was last week. So reading the price change tea leaves, Fuji is encouraging shoppers towards the X-A10 at this time.

New Lens Instant Savings II: Pentax, Sigma, Rokinon, Samyang, Olympus

The previous Lens Instant Savings post got crowded, so now we have a Part II with some of the other lens manufacturers!

+ Pentax K-Lenses: 42 options including 24-70/2.8 SDM for $1100, 70-200/2.8 AW for $1600, 100/2.8 WR Macro for $500, etc

+ Sigma Lenses (various systems): 96 options including 17-50/2.8 DC OS HSM for $369, 105/2.8 HSM Macro for $569 and many more

+ Olympus M43 lenses: 15 options including 30/3.5 Macro for $199

+ Samyang Lenses (various systems): 49 options with a mix of photography-priority and video-priority lenses

+ Rokinon Lenses (various systems): 92 options with a mix of photography-priority and video-priority lenses including Sony E-system autofocus lenses
+ CORRECTED: an “option swith” is “options with” with the “s” at the wrong place 🙂

More on these later on, as, unfortunately, I am not IBM’s Watson and I cannot “digest” hundreds of lenses (over 500 of them in these two posts) on the fly. Not to mention that glass causes indigestion. Mayhaps I’ll start with the plastic lenses first 🙂

New Lens Instant Savings: Fuji, Tokina, Nikon, Canon, Zeiss

A number of new lens instant savings promotions are running at the moment! You can find them nicely organized at Adorama as follows:

+ Fuji X System: 58 options

+ Tokina (mostly Canon and Nikon): 17 options

+ Canon EF/EF-S lenses: 38 lenses and three flashes

+ Nikon F lenses: 9 options

+ Zeiss Batis and Loxia: 8 options

+ Panasonic M43 Lenses: 31 options

BUT that’s not all! There’s more instant savings from other manufacturers as well, rounded up separately: Pentax, Olympus, Rokinon, Samyang and of course Shiguma (Sigma).

Panasonic M43 Lens Instant Savings as well

In addition to the previously highlighted Panasonic Cameras on sale this week, a number of Panasonic M43 lenses are also joining the discounting party, you can find them nicely organized under the “Lenses” tab at B&H Photo.

A total of a dozen lenses are on sale including:
+ 12-35/2.8 II for $898, 35-100/2.8 for $998, 7-14/4 for $798
+ 30/2.8 Macro OIS for $298, 42.5/1.2 OIS for $1398, 42.5/1.7 for $348
+ they also earn 4% promotional rewards
+ see them all under the “Lenses” tab at B&H Photo

(SOLD OUT) Used Fuji X-T1 body for $399 + S&H

As of a 11/16/17 AM recheck, this sold out at the $399 price. Supplies of used cameras are limited so they run out differently than new condition prices. Also prices are more volatile since they depend on more factors…

If you are comfortable with heavily used and scratched cameras that are still functional though, Adorama has the used Fuji X-T1 body only in “Used – Good” condition for $399 plus shipping (around $10) with a 90-day Adorama warranty and a 30-day return policy. If you don’t see it in the listings, it means it sold out since this was posted. Used supplies are typically limited.

The above may be of interest if you are looking for a non-entry-level entry into the Fuji X-system. On the other hand, if you prefer a “take pictures with” kit, the Fuji X-A10 with 16-50mm goes for $350 at various sellers including Amazon by Amazon itself (limit 3) and B&H Photo (with free 32GB Extreme SD and Bag) and at Adorama.

Panasonic GX8 Body with Extras for $998

The Panasonic GX8 body only was going for $1200 last week when I posted the Mirrorless Price charts, but this week it is down to $998 at authorized dealers such as Adorama (with freebies) and B&H Photo (4% rewards) and by Amazon itself (5% with Prime VISA).

A handful of Panasonic cameras got discounted today, you can find them at the aforelinked Panasonic category of posts.

Panasonic G7 with 14-42 and Extras for $498

Last week the Panasonic G7 with 14-42mm was going for $800 [see Mirrorless Price Chart]. This week it is joining some of the other Panasonic cameras in going down in price! It currently goes for $498 with free shipping and with some free accessories:

+ At Adorama you get the Corel software, 46mm filter, 32GB SD card, card reader, memory card wallet, and Lowepro 140 Format bag

+ At B&H Photo you get a 32GB Sandisk Extreme SD card and a Ruggard Hunter 15 camera bag

+ At Amazon there are no freebies but you get 5% cashback if you pay with a Prime VISA credit card (or 3% non-Prime)

Panasonic GH4 body with your choice of FREEBIE (Rode, V-Log, etc) for $898

Panasonic Gone Wild! When I posted the Mirrorless Price Chart last week, the Panasonic GH4 was jumped up to $1500. This week though, it’s coming back down to reality, but that’s not all! It is getting some free extras as well.

At B&H Photo
+ with Rode VideoMic with Rycote Lyre Suspension System

+ with Polsen VM-180M DSLR/Video Microphone

+ with V-Log L Activation Code Kit

At Adorama
+ with Various Freebies: Corel software, 32GB Lexar SD, 24/7 TC medium holster, card wallet, screen protector, cleaning kit

+ with $36 promotional rewards as the freebie

It also goes for $898 at Amazon by Amazon itself but no free extras at the moment.

Panasonic G85 with 12-60 and 45-200 OIS for $998

The Panasonic G85 mirrorless camera is on its way out. The body only kit is already gone, that’s why we didn’t include it in our latest Mirrorless Price Chart, but that doesn’t stop the deals from happening!

The standard Panasonic G85 with 12-60mm which goes for $1000 now (and went for $1000 last week) is now bundled with the Panasonic 45-200mm f4-5.6 II PowerOIS lens for FREE at Amazon by Amazon itself (limit 3 per customer; 5% if you pay with Prime Chase VISA; 3% with non-Prime Chase VISA) and B&H Photo and Adorama.

Adorama includes a handful of free extras as well: Corel software suite, 24/7 TC holster, 58mm filter kit, 32GB Lexar SD, card reader, memory card wallet, and cleaning kit. The lens is included in the bundle, when you scroll to the bottom of the “Bundle Includes”, you will see the lens there. Screenshot below:

Optionally you can triple the warranty by filing with Panasonic. Details in PDF files at both retailers above.

There are many and more Micro Four Thirds options these days, so the decision on which one(s) to get may require a few spreadsheets and Tylenols 😉

PS: the difference between a Prime and a non-Prime Chase VISA is your Prime status. If you are a Prime member, it becomes a Prime VISA and you get 5% back on your statements. If you are not a Prime member, you get 3% back.

YI 42.5mm f1.8 lens for $169 [m43]

One thing leads to another and we have a bit of a YI theme today. Unrelated to their action cameras, the YI 42.5mm f1.8 lens is on sale for $169 in the black color scheme or the silver color scheme, sold by the YI Amazon store with the orders fulfilled by Amazon, so it is Prime eligible.

This is of interest if you only want the lens and have zero interest in the YI M1 camera or 12-40 YI lens.

If you have some interest in the YI M1 camera, note that it is sold as a YI M1 two lens kit (the M1 camera, this 42.5/1.8 lens and the 12-40/3.5-5.6 lens) for $379 in the silver color scheme. The black color scheme is currently sold out.

5% off 18 Zeiss Lenses with coupon (E/C/N]

Good until 11/22/17, coupon code ZEISS5 (ZEISS and the number 5) get you 5% off eighteen Zeiss lenses at BuyDig. Options include lenses from the Batis, Loxia, and Otus lines. Most of them are Sony E-mount, with the rest Nikon F and Canon EF.
