Still available: Pentax K-1 Silver Limited Edition

The Pentax K-1 Silver Limited Edition (body only with official battery grip) is out of stock and cannot be ordered at Amazon and B&H Photo, but hope is not lost!

Adorama comes to the rescue. As of the time of writing it remains in-stock and shipping for $2200 with free expedited shipping over there. Optional financing offers are available with the new Adorama Credit Card.

Yes, Adorama has an official credit card, offered by Comenity Capital Bank per the listing over there.

Canon 5DS R Body with Pixma PRO 100 and Paper for $3679 after MIR ($350 AMEX GC)

The Canon 5DS R body only goes for $3699 at authorized Canon dealers in new condition (eg Adorama), but if you are comfortable with mail-in rebates and prepaid AMEX gift cards, just like the 5D Mark IV, you can get the 5DS R body only with the PIXMA PRO 100 printer and 50pk SG-201 paper for $20 less after mail-in rebate.

Let’s start from the beginning. You pay $4029 at B&H Photo and receive the Canon 5DS R body only, the Pixma PRO 100 printer and the 50pk SG-201 photo paper. After you receive it all, and you file the mail-in rebate, a few weeks later, you receive a prepaid $350 AMEX gift card by mail, making it a $3679 after MIR.

Canon 5D Mark IV Body with Pixma PRO 100 and Paper for $3279 after MIR ($350 AMEX GC)

The Canon 5D Mark IV goes for $3300 in new condition at various authorized dealers. But if you are not afraid of mail in-rebates and prepaid AMEX gift cards, you can actually pay slightly less (after rebate) and get the Pixma PRO 100 printer and 50pk SG-201 paper as well! Let’s start from the beginning…

At B&H Photo you buy the bundle that consists of the Canon 5D Mark IV body only, the PIXMA PRO 100 printer, and the 50pk Canon SG-201 photo paper for $3629 with free shipping. After you receive the order, make sure all is well, and submit the mail-in rebate, a few weeks later, you will receive a $350 prepaid AMEX gift card by mail. This will make it $3279 after rebate. That’s $20 less than the camera without the printer.

A similar offer is available for the with the 24-70mm and also with the 24-105mm.

Tamron SP 150-600mm f5-6.3 Di VC USD G2 with Tamron TAP-IN Console and $52 Rewards for $1299 [C/N]

On the weightlifter’s zoom front, B&H Photo is offering the Tamron SP 150-600mm f5-6.3 Di VC USD G2 for $1299 with free expedited shipping and 4% promotional rewards (around $52 to be used in future B&H purchases), and a free item depending on mount:

+ Canon or Nikon: FREE Tamron TAP-in Console
+ Sony Alpha: B+W 95mm UV Haze SC 010 Filter

If you are not interested in the Tamron TAP-in console, Adorama is bundling it with lens-y accessories (filter kit and such and Corel software).

Speaking of Adorama and lenses, here’s a blended list of 840+ lenses that currently have various promotions on them.

New Lens Instant Savings II: Pentax, Sigma, Rokinon, Samyang, Olympus

The previous Lens Instant Savings post got crowded, so now we have a Part II with some of the other lens manufacturers!

+ Pentax K-Lenses: 42 options including 24-70/2.8 SDM for $1100, 70-200/2.8 AW for $1600, 100/2.8 WR Macro for $500, etc

+ Sigma Lenses (various systems): 96 options including 17-50/2.8 DC OS HSM for $369, 105/2.8 HSM Macro for $569 and many more

+ Olympus M43 lenses: 15 options including 30/3.5 Macro for $199

+ Samyang Lenses (various systems): 49 options with a mix of photography-priority and video-priority lenses

+ Rokinon Lenses (various systems): 92 options with a mix of photography-priority and video-priority lenses including Sony E-system autofocus lenses
+ CORRECTED: an “option swith” is “options with” with the “s” at the wrong place 🙂

More on these later on, as, unfortunately, I am not IBM’s Watson and I cannot “digest” hundreds of lenses (over 500 of them in these two posts) on the fly. Not to mention that glass causes indigestion. Mayhaps I’ll start with the plastic lenses first 🙂

New Lens Instant Savings: Fuji, Tokina, Nikon, Canon, Zeiss

A number of new lens instant savings promotions are running at the moment! You can find them nicely organized at Adorama as follows:

+ Fuji X System: 58 options

+ Tokina (mostly Canon and Nikon): 17 options

+ Canon EF/EF-S lenses: 38 lenses and three flashes

+ Nikon F lenses: 9 options

+ Zeiss Batis and Loxia: 8 options

+ Panasonic M43 Lenses: 31 options

BUT that’s not all! There’s more instant savings from other manufacturers as well, rounded up separately: Pentax, Olympus, Rokinon, Samyang and of course Shiguma (Sigma).

(SOLD OUT) Used Canon 7D II Body for $949 + S&H

As of a 11/16/17 AM recheck, this sold out at the $399 price. Supplies of used cameras are limited so they run out differently than new condition prices. Also prices are more volatile since they depend on more factors…

The new condition Canon 7D II body only goes for $1500 in new condition at authorized dealers, or for an extra $20 you can do the Pixma PRO 100 mail-in rebate bundle at B&H Photo. But if you want to pay triple figures and you are comfortable with used…

Adorama is offering it in “Used – Very Good” condition for $949 plus shipping (around $12 or so) and it comes with a 90-day Adorama warranty and a 30-day return policy.

PS: if you don’t see anything in the link above, it means all the used options have sold out.

(ENDED) KEH Weekly USED Coupon Deals: Used Mamiya RB67 Pro-SD MF Body for $108+, Canon BG-E3 Battery Grip for $10+, Canon 18-135/3.5-5.6 IS Nano USM EF-S for $314+

Refurbished Nikon D5600 w/18-55 for $599

Good until 11/15/17 (or earlier if sold out), BuyDig is offering the manufacturer refurbished Nikon D5600 with 18-55 AF-P DX VR for $599 with free shipping and the usual 90-day Nikon refurbished warranty.

The new condition version of this kit goes for $750, so you are saving $150 by going refurbished. For a refresher on APS-C camera price ranges, check this week’s all new APS-C DSLRs Price Chart.

5% off 18 Zeiss Lenses with coupon (E/C/N]

Good until 11/22/17, coupon code ZEISS5 (ZEISS and the number 5) get you 5% off eighteen Zeiss lenses at BuyDig. Options include lenses from the Batis, Loxia, and Otus lines. Most of them are Sony E-mount, with the rest Nikon F and Canon EF.

YMMV: $100 off the Nikon D850 IF You Apply and Get Approved for the Amazon Rewards VISA card

This is a YMMV promotion as Amazon’s AI bots have a mind of their own!!!

While checking the Nikon D850 stock status at Amazon I noticed a promotion that offers you a $100 discount IF you apply for an Amazon Rewards VISA credit card (by Chase) and Get Approved for it, and use the new card to pay the Nikon D850 [which remains in “Temporarily Out of Stock” status]. You don’t have to be a Prime member for this offer.

To see this offer however you may have to be logged on to your Amazon account, and NOT have an Amazon Rewards VISA card (by Chase). I only saw this offer on the non-Prime Amazon account I use to check prices/offers for non-Prime members. My Prime account (already has the Amazon Rewards VISA) was not offered this. Looking at the page without being logged on to an Amazon account also did not show the offer.

So this is a big YMMV.

If you are eligible for this offer, it looks like this [screenshot below]:

This has to be sold and shipped by Amazon itself, not 3rd-party sellers.

Non-Prime members get 3% credit cards rewards on Amazon purchases with the Amazon Rewards VISA, while Prime members get 5%. This is another one of the many Prime Benefits.

Tamron SP 150-600mm f5-6.3 Di VC USD for $799 [C/N, A [no VC])

Big zoom action now, B&H Photo is offering for a limited time the new condition Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD Lens for $799 with free expedited shipping in the Canon and Nikon DSLR systems, and without VC (optical image stabilization) for the Sony A system.

No coupons, no rebates, this is a straight up sale, add to cart and proceed to checkout!

Nikon D850 body goes in TOOS status!

Breaking!!! The Nikon D850 body only is currently in “Temporarily out of stock” (TOOS) status at Amazon by Amazon itself. Limit three per customer… Previously the estimate was “2-4 months”, so that’s an improvement…

“TOOS” is an all-encompassing thing, so it’s hard to tell when you’ll get it…

All the options at the Amazon listing are in “TOOS”, which makes sense, since these are just DSLR + Lens sold by Amazon, they are not official Nikon kits, so basically once you have the DSLR, you have all the other combos as well [unless any of those lenses are unavailable].

B&H Photo remains in pre-order status, and Adorama in backorder status.

The eBay Search Results continue to be filled with sellers charging A LOT more. If you hate this practice, make a note of their names and never buy from them 🙂

The Stock Status Tracker has been updated, and the Nikon D850 listing moved to the top. For the reasons explained above, I’m not creating additional entries for the D850 + Lens combos since they all depend on the D850 body only stock status.

Refurbished Sigma 120-400mm f4.5-5.6 DG APO OS HSM for $339 (Sony A)

We have a series of refurbished Sigma lenses offered at Adorama. We start with the refurbished 120-400mm f4.5-5.6 DG APO OS HSM AF for the Sony Alpha DSLR system going for $339 with free shipping and warranty. As the OS hints at, this is an optically stabilized lens.

Refurbished Sigma 300mm f2.8 EX DG APO for $2280 (Sony A)

From a $100 prime we go to a $2280, the manufacturer refurbished Sigma 300mm f/2.8 EX DG APO Lens in the Sony Alpha DSLR mount is offered at this price with free shipping and warranty at Adorama.

In new condition, this lens goes for $3400 in the mounts it is currently offered on.

Refurbished Sigma 50mm f2.8 DG Macro for $105 (Sony A)

The Sony Alpha DSLR version of the Sigma 50mm f2.8 EX DG Macro lens is currently available in refurbished condition at Adorama for $105 with free shipping and a warranty.

Refurbished Sigma 70-300mm f4-5.6 DG OS (Pentax) for $189

One of the few optically stabilized Sigma lenses for the Pentax K system is the Sigma 70-300mm f4-5.6 DG OS, and this lens is offered manufacturer refurbished with a 90-day warranty for $189 with free shipping at Adorama.

You are paying a premium for the OS (optical stabilization). If you don’t want/need OS, the new condition non-OS 70-300mm f4-5.6 DG Macro goes for $169 with $7~ promotional rewards at Adorama.

Pentax K-3 II Body with BG-5 Battery Grip for $853

I typically round prices for simplicity but in this case, the exact price is Jermaine Jackson (okay, germane) to the deal…

The new condition Pentax K-3 II body only goes for $846 in new condition at authorized dealers such as Adorama and Amazon itself.

But if you forgo a supersized Starbucks frappuccino, for $853 with free shipping you can get the K-3 II body only with the official Pentax BG-5 battery grip for $853 with free expedited shipping at B&H Photo. $7 more for the battery grip is pretty, pretty, pretty good!

Pentax KP with 18-55 and Extras for $1000

Somehow I strayed from the alphabetical price-checking and finished the S-cameras before the P-cameras. To the P-cameras we go! The Pentax KP body only goes for $1000 in new condition at authorized dealers. At the moment, there is a promotion that for the same price you also get the Pentax SMCP-DA 18mm-55mm f/3.5-5.6 AL Weather Resistant AF Lens for FREE, such as B&H Photo in either the silver or the black color scheme.

But wait, there’s more! At Adorama, for the same price, you also get a handful of free accessories, which if you don’t need, you can put them in various camera-related gifts during the upcoming holiday season 🙂 The additional freebies at Adorama are 24/7 Traffic Collection holster, 16GB Sandisk SD card, USB card reader, cleaning kit and the Corel software bundle (five titles as usual, AfterShot, PaintShop, VideoShop, etc).

This offer at Adorama with the freebies is available in both the silver KP DSLR kit and the black KP DSLR kit. The free lens is included, you have to expand the “Bundle Includes” section, it is the last one in the list. Here’s a screenshot:

Refurbished Nikon D7200 body with 90-day warranty for $710

Now the Price-Charts price-checking moves to the letter N! Adorama is offering the manufacturer refurbished Nikon D7200 body only with a 90-day Nikon USA warranty for $710 with free shipping. Their page there marks it as a “Low Stock” item. The new condition price at authorized dealers is $1000.

This is one of many refurbished Nikon cameras and lenses at Adorama.

Canon D-Rebel T5i with 18-55 and Pixma PRO 100 and SG-201 paper for $600 after $350 MIR (prepaid AMEX GC)

The Canon D-Rebel T5i remains one of a very few cameras with a cray-cray price-scheme. The body only goes for $650, while the kit with the 18-55mm lens goes for $600, in new condition, at authorized, reputable, MAP-blessed dealers. It’s not just now, it was also the case in the July APS-C Price Charts. So you are paying Canon a premium NOT to take their 18-55 lens? 🙂

Joking aside, the Canon D-Rebel T5 with 18-55 goes for $600 and if you are not afraid of mail-in rebates and prepaid AMEX gift cards, that’s the after rebate price you will pay if you buy the Adorama Printer Bundle of the D-Rebel T5i with 18-55 and Pixma PRO 100 and 50pk SG-201 13×19″ photo paper. You pay $950 at checkout, receive items, submit mail-in rebate, and a few weeks later you receive a $350 prepaid AMEX gift card, making it a $600 after MIR offer.

Now shipping: white Canon SL2 w/18-55 for $699

In a galaxy not-so-far-away, the white Canon SL2 with the 18-55 f4-5.6 IS STM EF-S lens is now in-stock and ready to ship at its authorized dealer price of $699 at Adorama and B&H Photo. Meanwhile at Amazon it is in the all-encompassing “Temporarily out of stock” status.

PS: there is a reason these posts (that are triggered by the price-charts price-checking) are in reverse alphabetical order. I’m following the order of the cameras in the spreadsheet 🙂
