Amazon $5 off $15+ coupon expires Wedn 3am ET

UPDATE: the coupon has been extended once again until Wednesday at 3am ET…

Checking the Terms and Conditions it looks like Amazon has extended the expiration date of this coupon ONCE AGAIN! coupon code BOOKGIFT17 gets you $5 off the purchase of $15 or more in Physical/Printed Books. Also eligible are photographic and other calendars, comic books, and sometimes even audiobooks on CD. You can add items of interest and coupon to the shopping cart and see what happens. The shopping cart is the ultimate decider of what’s eligible…

This National Geographic Reference Map (poster size, tubed) goes for $6.59 (limit four per customer) is also eligible for the coupon. For example, if you put three of these in your shopping cart, you pay $19.77 – $5 coupon = $14.77, making them under $5 per map.

Strategically this is good for books that have the same prices everywhere, or rarely go on sale. Some places to look for ideas:

+ Best Seller Lists

+ Photography Best Sellers

+ then drill down the sub-categories on the left-hand side, eg Black and White Photography or Digital Photography

+ those categories have sub-categories for further drilling down, eg Editing or Flash Photography

+ as usual, these rankings are only as good as the accuracy of the product categorization

Photography Calendars also eligible for the Amazon Book Coupon!

The previously mentioned coupon code BOOKGIFT17 gets you $5 off the purchase of $15+ in Printed Books is also working on Photography Calendars, as long as they are sold and shipped by Amazon itself (not 3rd-party sellers). There are many sub-categories on the left hand side over there, including a Photography Calendars. The coupon expires on Thursday 12/14/17 at 11:59pm pacific.
