Refurbished Canon M10 w/15-45 + 1-YR W for $329

Another sale promotion featuring 38 refurbished Canon DSLRs and MiLCs is now in-progress at the official Canon USA outlet store, offering 1-year warranties on their manufacturer refurbished products as usual.

If you are curious about the Canon mirrorless system, but don’t want to break the bank, one of these offers, in-stock as of the time of writing, is the manurefurb (new proposed LOL term for “manufacturer + refurbished”) Canon M10 with 15-45mm in the black or the white color scheme for $329.

This is an older model on its way out (no longer available at Adorama or B&H), but you can get it in new condition for $450 by Samy’s Camera thru Amazon. This was already off the radar when we posted the Mirrorless Price Chart in early November 2017.

The Panasonic freebie promotions move to the world of Micro Four Thirds, where the Panasonic GX85 has made a new friend! The standard Panasonic GX85 (GX eighty five) with 12-32mm is now bundled with the Panasonic Lumix G Vario 45-150mm f/4-5.6 ASPH. MEGA O.I.S. This time the Amazon price bots woke up, and Amazon itself too is offering the free 45-150 lens, in silver or black, with up to three per color for $598. If you pay with a Prime credit card or with the activated Discover Q4 Cashback promotion, you get 5% back as a statement credit.

PS: some of the Panasonic model names are easy to mistype, so as an extra verification, I am typing the model name twice, the second time in words, eg GX85 (GX eighty five) or LX10 (LX ten). This reduces the chances of typos, as the Panasonic line-up has some traps, LX10/LX100, G85/GX85/GX850, etc.

Panasonic LX100 Silver with $100 Gift Certificate and $24 Rewards for $598

Don’t cry for me walletina! The gift certificate now matches the model number! The silver color scheme of the Panasonic LX100 is bundled with a $100 Adorama gift certificate and $24 in promotional rewards at Adorama. Meanwhile the black color scheme gets a $50 gift certificate instead. This is a RAWsumer with a “M43rds” size sensor.

The same price is available at B&H Photo with free accessories but no gift cards. At Amazon, only 3rd-party sellers offer free accessories but no gift cards.

Panasonic FZ2500 with $150 Gift card for $998

The Panasonic FZ-2500 superzoom had been getting a $100 gift certificate last week, but now the gift certificate has increased to $150 while the camera remains at $998 at Adorama. In terms of pure value, you can instead get it bundled with a Shure VP83F LensHopper Camera-Mount Shotgun Microphone (this goes for $300 on its own; same offer as last week).

B&H Photo is offering a $100 e-gift card. No freebies by Amazon itself, their price-matching bots may be asleep 🙂

Stock Status Tracker Changes: added Sony a7r III, removed “Stable” Cameras

I just finished a much needed pruning and updating of the Stock Status Tracker. The Sony a7r III has been added as it was expected to be out about this time of the year. But that and the Nikon D850 are not in-stock at the moment.

Removed from the Tracker were a handful of cameras that had been steadily in-stock and didn’t have price movements: Canon 6D II, Nikon D7500, Panasonic GH5, Fuji X-E3 and GFX-50S. The Fuji X100F managed to survive another round of “The Purge” 🙂

Fuji X-E3 kits get Free Accessories Bundles

I am updating the Stock Status Tracker, with the addition of the Sony a7r III, but both the a7r III and Nikon D850 remain not in-stock…

But I’m also going through the other cameras and removing all the ones that have been steadily in-stock or had steady prices throughout. The Fuji X-E3 is one that fits this pattern, but it goes out with a parting shot. The prices remain the same but it getting free accessories with purchase, especially at Adorama where you get the Corel software bundle, a Lowepro Format 140 bag, a 16GB Sandisk Extreme SDHC card, a card reader, a card wallet, and the obligatory cleaning kit.

Nikon D5600 with 18-55 and 70-300 for $800 [corrected]

CORRECTION: the lens in the two lens kit is the 70-300mm DX, not the old 75-300. I typed 75-300 in every single mention below out of habit 🙂 Thanks to one of our readers for the alert in the comments!

On the “Take Pictures With” two-lens kit front, the new condition Nikon D5600 with the 18-55 and 70-300 lenses is on sale for $797 with free shipping at authorized dealers such as Adorama (with free accessories) and B&H Photo (with free accessories) and Amazon itself (limit 3).

The D5600 body only goes for $650, while the D5600 w/18-55 goes for $750. So you are getting the 70-300 for an extra $50 versus the standard 1-lens kit. This being the holiday season, even if you don’t need the 18-55 and 70-300 for yourself, you can use them in a gift bundle for friends and family, eg bundle them with a Nikon DSLR you don’t need or use often.

The D5600 body only went for $650 in early November as well when I posted the APS-C DSLR price charts.

If you don’t need the new condition version though, you can wait for another manufacturer refurbished sale. It went for $620 at least a couple of times in the past.

Canon G9 X II with Pixma PRO 100 Printer and Paper for $329 after $350 MIR (prepaid AMEX GC)

The manufacturer refurbished first generation Canon G9 X went and continues to go for $250 at the Canon USA Outlet but as of the time of writing, both color schemes are out of stock and cannot be ordered.

In new condition, the Canon G9X goes for $400, while the second generation Canon G9X II goes for $430. But if you are not a afraid of mail-in rebates…
