Mon: imported grey-market Nikon D5600 body for $600

As teased yesterday, one of the Monday 3/22/21 NewEgg daily deals is the new condition imported grey-market Nikon D5600 body only going for $600, sold and shipped by marketplace seller “Red Tag Camera” through the NewEgg website…

To get a feel for the USA-warranty prices, check the various options and configurations and such at B&H Photo and Adorama and Amazonia

Among the other NewEgg dailies, they have the 1TB Toshiba Canvio for $42 AC, 6TB WD Elements desktop for $100 AC, internal Toshiba HDD, flash drive, Logitech MK710, Windows 10 PRO upgrade, Core i7, 27″ GigaByte 144Hz IPS monitor, etc…

Meanwhile the current iteration of the Adorama daily deals [changes Tuesday 10am ET] is a trio of options:

+ 10 exposures of Fuji instax mini chroma film for $4
+ you can buy as many as you like

+ Moza Air 2 3-Axis Handheld Gimbal Stabilizer for $399

+ DigiTech CabDryVR Dual Speaker Cabinet Emulator Pedal for $80

Heads Up: Nikon D5600 among the Monday daily deals

This is a heads up alert! Among the teasers for the Monday 3/22/21 daily deals at the NewEgg website they show the Nikon D5600. The teasers over there do not point to actual product pages, so I do not know which kit will be offered and who will be the seller.

The daily deals at NewEgg go live at 12am pacific time, aka 3am eastern time (on Monday 3/22/21 in our case)…

A reasonable guess is that it might be the standard “with 18-55” kit, and as far as the seller, a number of the cameras offered in the NewEgg dailies are international/grey-market. Lower chances it might be refurbished or new (USA warranty) or open-box.

But of course I’m only guessing since the teaser does not show more, and I don’t remember if the D5600 was previously offered as a daily deal at NewEgg. If it had and I remembered, there could be reasonable chances that it is recurring. Sort of like the refurbished Sony H300 superzoom for $85 by a marketplace seller that returns every few days/weeks…

Nikon D5600 Options abound (NC Two Lens Kit for $600, Refurb Body for $400, Etc)

The Nikon D3500 two lens kit goes for $400 as part of the Cyber FriMonday festivities, but if you want a more advanced DSLR as a jumping point into the Nikon system, the new condition (NC) Nikon D5600 two lens kit (18-55, 70-300) is currently going for $600 at various authorized dealers (eg B&H Photo and Amazon)…

However, if you do not want/need the kit lenses and prefer a lower priced entry, Adorama has D5600 refurbished options with the body only going for $397, with 18-55 for $430, and two lens kit for $500. But if you prefer the new condition two lens kit they have a bundle with modest freebies (16GB SD, Lowerpro bag, lens filters, Corel, etc)

Sat (EU): Nikon D5600 body only for 455 euro

On the Amazon Germany front, as part of their end of summer daily deals, they are offering the new condition Nikon D5600 body only for 455 euro with free shipping for Prime members in Germany and Austria. Limit one per customer.

Also part of the amazon.de gold box offers is a sale on various Holy Stone drone bundles with prices ranging from 28 to 224 euro with nine options available.

Meanwhile on the Amazon USA front, as part of the Kindle daily deals, you can get the “Under the Northern Lights” ebook by S.C Stephens for $1.99 [ebook is also part of Kindle Unlimited, so you can read it for free if a member]. Of interest here because the protagonist is a wild life photographer [you can “Look Inside” and/or get a Kindle sample if curious]:

“Mallory Reynolds is a driven woman fueled by her passion for photographing wild animals in remote locations. Every year she makes a trek deep into Alaska, but this time the unthinkable happens: she crash-lands after her plane stalls out in a storm. Injured, vulnerable, and threatened by the very creatures she loves…”

Refurbished Nikon D5600 w/18-55 DX VR AF-P w/90-day warranty for $450 [limited time offer]

With cameras adding more and more “smartphone” features, the decision on which model to get if you don’t want to pay top dollars for the “latest models” gets more complicated. A “smartphone feature evaluation” in addition to the camera features evaluation is needed. For example if you want Wifi, touchscreen, app support, etc…

… which brings us to a limited time offer on a recent Nikon DSLR, Adorama is offering the manufacturer refurbished Nikon D5600 with 18-55mm (DX VR AF-P f3.5-5.6) going for $450 with free US shipping and a 90-day Nikon USA warranty…

This is a very limited time offer, so don’t sleep on it…

Nikon D5600 with 18-55 and 70-300 and Extras for $697

Nikon fans too, look under your chairs, you get a 2-lens deal too! B&H Photo is offering until NOV-11 at 11:59pm ET this Nikon D5600 two lens kit with the 18-55 DX VR and 70-300mm DX non-VR lenses along with a 32GB Sandisk Extreme card and a camera bag, AND 2% promotional rewards ($14~ to be used in future B&H purhcases) all together now for $697 with free US shipping.

Nikon D5600 down to $600, D7200 down to $800

Nikon’s contributions to the new Sunday Instant Savings promotion are a drop in pricing of two of their APS-C dSLRs as follows:

+ Nikon D5600 body only for $600 or $800 in the two lens kit (18-55, 70-300) at B&H Photo and Amazon and Adorama

+ Nikon D7200 body only for $800 at Adorama and B&H Photo and Amazon

Nikon D5600 with 18-55 and 70-300 for $800 [corrected]

CORRECTION: the lens in the two lens kit is the 70-300mm DX, not the old 75-300. I typed 75-300 in every single mention below out of habit ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks to one of our readers for the alert in the comments!

On the “Take Pictures With” two-lens kit front, the new condition Nikon D5600 with the 18-55 and 70-300 lenses is on sale for $797 with free shipping at authorized dealers such as Adorama (with free accessories) and B&H Photo (with free accessories) and Amazon itself (limit 3).

The D5600 body only goes for $650, while the D5600 w/18-55 goes for $750. So you are getting the 70-300 for an extra $50 versus the standard 1-lens kit. This being the holiday season, even if you don’t need the 18-55 and 70-300 for yourself, you can use them in a gift bundle for friends and family, eg bundle them with a Nikon DSLR you don’t need or use often.

The D5600 body only went for $650 in early November as well when I posted the APS-C DSLR price charts.

If you don’t need the new condition version though, you can wait for another manufacturer refurbished sale. It went for $620 at least a couple of times in the past.

PRO TIP: the new WordPress search engine is very fast and efficient, so if you want to look up favorite brands or see previous deals on cameras, use the search box in the blog header or sidebar! It even picks up new posts in almost real time!

Nikon D5600 with 18-55 and 70-300 and Extras for $900

Imported Nikon D5600 w/18-55 without warranty for $585

The new condition Nikon D5600 with 18-55 DX VR goes for $800 at authorized Nikon dealers that include free accessories (eg Adorama) or promotional rewards (eg B&H Photo).

But if you are comfortable with imported grey-market DSLR without a warranty, then off to the eBay Deals we go, where eBay seller “PhotoVideo4Less” (100%, New York) is offering the new condition imported grey-market Nikon D5600 with 18-55 DX VR for $585 with free shipping. There is no warranty offered in the listing, so this is a higher risk than buying with a 1-year seller warranty, which in itself is a higher risk than a 1-year manufacturer warranty, and so forth. So it’s up to you and your risk matrix and Keanu Reeves ๐Ÿ˜‰

On the other hand, if you prefer a Nikon D5600 kit purchased from authorized dealers, and want a loaded “take pictures with” kit, the Nikon D5600 two-lens kit (18-55 DX VR, 70-300 DX non-VR) goes for $900 with a handful of free accessories at Adorama (Corel software bundle, Lowepro bag, 16GB Lexar SD, Bower 58mm IV filter, cleaning kit).

The latest new cameras and lenses of 2017 are now tracked in the brand new New Cameras of 2017 tracker.

Pre-order new Nikon D5600 Books by Julie Adair King and by David Busch

This may be a first. The books for a camera are listed at Amazon before the camera itself! There’s two of them now! Julie Adair King’s “Nikon D5600 For Dummies” is available for pre-order in paperback for $30 with an April 17 (20170 release estimate, while David Busch’s Nikon D5600 guide is available for pre-order at Amazon for $40 with a May 19 in 2017 release date estimate. This is the paperback edition, under the RockyNook brand (not to be confused with the Barnes and Noble Nook). Amazon has a pre-order price-guarantee [see Details], so if the price drops until its release date, you will pay the lowest price during the time period between pre-order and release date.

PS: 3rd-party goofballs (okay, sellers) have created stub listings for the Nikon D5600 at Amazon, but Amazon’s own listing is not there yet.
