More memory card action now, the 64GB Sony Class 10 UHS-1 SDXC (up to 70MB/s model SF64UY2/TQ) is on sale for $15 with a limit of 30 per customer at Amazon by Amazon itself, while the 32GB version goes for $8 (limit 30 as well). Meanwhile the 128GB version goes for $35 (same limit).

And to think that once upon a time we thought a 32MB Smartmedia card could hold so many pictures 🙂

Pre-order 3/31/16: Sony RX10 III for $1500

Time sure does fly, we now have the third generation of the Sony RX10 1-inch RAWzoomer fixed lens camera, with a 24-600mm f2.4-4 Zeiss blessed lens (on a 1″ sensor). This new camera will be available for pre-ordering on March 31st at 11am eastern for $1500. So far it has been listed at the B&H Photo website. Sony continues with their new two-step announcement process. This has been added to the New Cameras of 2016 tracking page.

Bundle up time for the E-mount! Adorama is offering a Sony a6000 bundle with the 16-50 and 55-210 lenses and the Adobe Lightroom 6 software (stand-alone, not cloud), all together for $846 with free shipping.

If you don’t want/need Lightroom 6, for the same price and same two lenses, you can get free accessories in the black kit (extra Sony batter, extra Sony charger, Sony screen protector, 64GB Lexar SDXC) and in the silver kit (same free accessories).

On the other hand, if you are fond of certified refurbished, and don’t need any of the aforementioned bonus items, you can get the Sony a6000 two-lens kit for $680 with free shipping by Secondipity thru Amazon. The page there says this will ship by Ground Transportation, so it will not arrive as fast as Prime items typically arrive.

Limit of one per customer. It beats the other storage options in its own sub-line (8GB to 256GB) in terms of $/GB. If you are a Prime member, you get free shipping even if you just buy this one and nothing else.

It is currently “temporarily out of stock” but you can still order it. Per the Amazon affiliate statistics, some of last week’s purchases have shipped, so there is a light at the end of the SD tunnel.

If you are not a Prime member, a $49+ total order of physical goods (shipped/fulfilled by Amazon) or an order that has $25+ in books, gets you the new free super-saver shipping. This is not a lightning deal.

PS: I don’t know how long it takes before the “limit 1” per customer restriction resets for future purchases. I haven’t purchased it yet, so I can’t test it yet. I have to check my SD card inventory first.
