It’s only a matter of time before we start getting movie trailers from Black Friday retailers, but at the moment, Amazon is happy to tease us with press releases. They list items that will be offered at any point in time between now and December 22 in 2016. I have no clue when the items mentioned will be offered. Of camera and photo interest, they tease two products:
+ Fujifilm Instax Mini 26 film camera with Film Bundle for $49.99
+ 52% off on the “National Geographic Rarely Seen: Photographs of the Extraordinary” by National Geographic and Stephen Alvarez (website)
+ the list price of the hardcover book is $40, so assuming it is 52% off that, the sale price will be $19.20. The current price of the book (as of the time of writing of this post) is $27.19

A new update of the Stocks Status Tracker surfaced a Fuji X-T2 body only eBay Auction Listing by an individual eBay user (100%, 56 ratings), offering them in “new – other” condition. As of the time of writing, the price is $1400 with 0 bids with an auction ending of Wednesday at 8:56pm ET. They ship from Houston, Texas with free expedited shipping by the seller.

We just updated the Stock Status Tracker and we have good news for the Fuji X-T2, it is in-stock and ready to ship (or picked up in-store where available) by Best Buy in both the X-T2 body only for $1600, and the X-T2 with 18-55 for $1900. These are the normal prices.

The estimate is now November 11. The estimates are expected to adjust over time, as various factors, including supply, demand (orders, pre-orders, cancellations, etc), the weather, etc, change things up.

I just updated the Stock Status Tracker and we have some potentially promising news for the Fuji X-T2 body only, the B&H Photo product page for the X-T2 body only has a November 8 “expected availability” date. Keep in mind, these are estimated and they change over time as more orders go in. In other words, it’s subject to change until you have the camera in your hands! Annotated screenshot crop below:
Speaking of the Stock Status Tracker, it may look a little different today, we did some housekeeping, both the Panasonic G85 and the Sony RX100 V had been steadily in-stock for many days in a row, so they have been archived from the Tracker. This is a more fast-paced tracker than before 🙂
As of a 11/3/16 recheck, this sold out and is no longer available for purchase… The Price Charts series price-check has a new “gift” for Fuji X System photographers, the black Fuji X-M1 body only is currently on sale for $200 with free shipping along with 4% promotional rewards (around $8 to spend in future purchases) at Adorama… If you have Amazon Gift cards to spend, you can also get it for the same price by Adorama on Amazon. Free shipping but not Prime eligible.
As of 11/3/16, this sold out and is no longer available… Fuji is another camera company with many interchangeable models in the market, but if it is the Fuji X-T10 body only the one you want, in Used condition with an “E- ratings” (E- = Excellent Minus; not the school grade), you can get it for $459 plus shipping (around $10 for West coast) at Adorama.

We have just updated the Stock Status Tracker and we have some semi-good news, the Fuji X-T2 body only is semi in-stock. Let me explain. The camera shows as in-stock at the B&H Photo website but because they are closed for religious holidays, it will ship October 26 in 2016. The trade-off is whether you want to wait for a couple of weeks for it to arrive versus waiting to find it available right away.

As of the time of writing (10/11/16 at 12:25am ET), Adorama has both Fuji X-T2 in stock in limited quantities (marked as LOW STOCK) over there. The Fuji X-T2 Body Only goes for $1600 with free shipping, while the X-T2 with 18-55 goes for $1900…

As of the time of writing, the PopFlash eBay store is offering the new condition Fuji X-T2 body only and VPB-XT2 Vertical Grip for $1928 with free shipping. The Stock Status Tracker has just been updated. There was one Fuji X-T2 when I did the update, but by the time I wrote an alert-post here, it got scooped up (for reference, this is the now sold-out listing).
For some reason PopFlash lists their X-T2 cameras one at a time instead of all of them at once, so they may list more (if they have more). This pre-filled eBay search query searches for Fujifilm Cameras only in their eBay store.
Price-wise this kit is the same as buying the items separately, the X-T2 body only goes for $1600 on its own, while the VPB-XT2 Battery Grip goes for $329 on its own. The only difference is that they charge shipping and handling.
