This lens currently goes for $350 on its own in new condition, but it’s frequently bundled with more recent Nikon DSLR two lens kit, so the $350 price is a bit misleading in terms of its effective street market price.

Dolica GX650B204 Proline GX Series 65 inch Aluminum Tripod and Ball Head Combo for $58 after coupon

Amazon has different kinds of coupons. They have classic coupons that you have to type in the shopping cart, but they also have CLIP-ON COUPONS. You don’t have to type these, you simply click to virtually clip the coupons. This adds the coupon to your Amazon account, so if or when you buy an eligible product, while the coupon promotion is running, you will automatically get the discount.

One of the items that currently has a clip-on coupon is the Dolica GX650B204 Proline GX Series 65 inch Aluminum Tripod and Ball Head Combo. It goes for the very specific price of $62.55. After the $5 off clip-on coupon, it drops to $57.55 with free shipping.

The tripod goes for $55 at Adorama, however, Adorama has mandatory shipping that starts at $9~, so unless you have a way to get free shipping at Adorama, the total price is higher.

eBay User Agreement Update: Sellers may be charged Final Value Fee for eBay sales completed outside eBay

eBay did not wait until Friday night to sneak in announce new updates to their Terms of Service. According to an email sent to its members, the key change to the user agreement is that Sellers who try to complete eBay listing sales outside of eBay (to avoid paying the various eBay fees) may be charged Final Value Fees regardless. Not sure how eBay is going to find out, but that’s what the updated Terms and Conditions say.

ANALYSIS: Perhaps the reason this was announced in the middle of the week is because eBay wants people to read this and stop doing it 🙂

Imported Tamron 24-70 f2.8 Di VC USD for $690 [C/N]

The first generation new condition Tamron SP 24-70mm F/2.8 Di VC USD goes for $1100 at authorized dealers which can include some free accessories such as Adorama.

But if you are a more adventurous shopper, then to the eBay Deals we go, where eBay seller “QuickNDone” (99.9%) is offering the lens in new condition for $690 with free shipping in the Nikon system. Per the listing, the sale ends 9/20/17.

UPDATE: they also offer this in the Canon EF system for the same price.

Further down the product listing, under “Warranty” it says that you get either a 1-Year Tamron International warranty or a 6-Year Tamron Canada warranty, depending on location. They also offer a 30-day return policy.

This is a higher risk than buying in new condition from authorized Tamron USA dealers, that’s one of the reasons for the lower price. I believe “QuickNDone” is a Canadian seller.
