Zeiss Lens Sale (68 options) [C/N/E/X/M]

Here’s a bold prediction: eventually ZEISS is going to hire Vanilla Ice to do a “Zeiss Zeiss Baby” commercial, be it a serious one or a self-parody. But until then (mayhaps don’t hold your breath) there is a sale of 68 Zeiss Lens options at B&H Photo. Note that this is lens options, not lenses, meaning a lens available in four mounts counts as four options in the listings…

Prices start at $612 and go upwards, but don’t forget to also look at the USED options shown in smaller print in the listings. For example the Tweet 32mm f1.8 for Sony E is available for $425 in “Used Condition 9″…

The most expensive individual lens of this lot is the Otus 100mm f1.4 (ZE, ZF.2) for $4242 but the most expensive items in sale are Prime 4-Packs of Loxia and Batis lenses for Sony E going for $4600~ and $4924~ respectively. Find them all, sorted by price, at the B&H Zeiss sale…

So, starting at 10am eastern on Tuesday 11/26/19 (one month to Boxing Day 2019), they tease that they will be offering as a limited time flash sale the new condition KIPON Ibelux 40mm f/0.85 lens for the Sony E-system. The price before the sale is $1480.

Meanwhile at the Best Buy dailies the headliner is the new condition 12.3″ Surface PRO, 6th generation, going for $699. This is without the Pen and without the keyboard-case-thing. It has 8GB RAM (which should really be minimum for any Windows computer without a single core processor), 128GB SSD, Core i5 processor, and things like that…

Having said that, the promise and premise of a Surface is kinda defeated when it is sold without the pen and keyboard-cover ~ you are essentially buying an expensive Windows tablet. When you add the Type Cover, the Pen, and the Moon Dial, the prices goes up up and away.

On the other hand, Surface fans can become Surface households, so they may already have the necessary accessories and they just need more devices. Oops, this is turning into an out of control post, so the time is writing to stop writing in this post, stop writing NOW 🙂
