16pk Duracell AA or AAA single-use batteries for 1c After Rewards

The Duracell Battery Rewards promotion is back at Office Depot and Max Rewards. It is good online or in-store. You can get a 16-pack of Duracell AA or AAA single use batteries for $13.99. Make sure you use/enter your Rewards account when you purchase them. A few weeks later you will receive $13.98 back in Office Depot Rewards. Limit TWO per customer during the week of October 2-8 in 2016. These rewards will be emailed separately from the monthly rewards, so you will receive the full amount.

If you are buying online, an order of $35+ gets you free shipping. At the Rewards page you will also notice a Folgers coffee promotion (seven options) that is 100% back in rewards. These will not be emailed separately, so make sure the total is in multiples of $10, since the regular monthly rewards are issued in $10 multiples. The Folgers is online only. Limit five per customer.

NOTE: you cannot “roll rewards” any more. You have to pay for this order with “new money”, not with existing rewards. If you are not familiar with how their rewards program works, be sure to research it, do not assume it works a certain way!

YMMV 10% eBay Bucks on items priced $50+ [must opt-in first]

If you are an eBay Bucks rewards member, check your emails/messages for a potential new bonus bucks offer. This may be targeted, so I have no way of knowing how many people get it. The usual terms and exclusions apply. Offer ends Friday 9/16/16 at 11:59pm pacific time…

Duracell Battery Rewards return at Office Depot Max 8/28 to 9/3 [Update: Good online as well!]

UPDATE 8/28/16: the fine print of this offer (both online [view larger screenshot] and in the printed weekly ad) says the Rewards will be sent separately, so you will get the full amount (sales tax NOT included as usual with rebates)… Also, the offer is good in-store or online according to the Office Depot Rewards page.

Keep in mind, you can’t roll rewards any more, so you have to pay with “fresh money”, not with existing Office Depot Rewards! The good news though is that they have began sending out the rewards faster than they used to.

ORIGINAL POST
Duracell party reloaded! Between Sunday 8/28/16 AM and Saturday 9/3/16 PM, the Office Depot and Max stores are bringing back their 1c after Rewards promotion on the Duracell single-use alkaline battery 16-packs. The promotion includes AA or AAA 16-packs. You have to buy the specific SKUs that participate in the promotion.

odp_duracell_aug28_2016

You pay $13.99 plus tax (if applicable). You must show your Rewards number (or use your phone number to look it up). A few weeks later you will receive $13.98 in Office Depot rewards in your online account. You can use those for future purchases there but you can’t “roll” them. Limit two per customer during this week, your choice of any combination of AA or AAA 16-packs.

The one question is whether these will arrive separately or will be part of the regular rewards. You want them to arrive separately, otherwise you won’t get the full amount. This is usually mentioned in the Weekly Ad fineprint and on their Rewards website after they go live on Sunday 8/28/16. You won’t get the full amount because for their regular rewards, you only get rewards in multiples of $10. This is a very sneaky way of not paying you the rewards you earned AND getting away with it (until bored Attorney Generals go after them).

Rakuten Promo Codes: 5% Rewards also $10 off $75+ with VISA Checkout

It sounds like a creature from Pokemon or a Godzilla movie, but the Rakuten has digested what used to be Buy.com. Apparently online shopping companies with just three letters in their names get bought out by bigger companies πŸ™‚

There are two promotions running at the Rakuten website:

+ Get 5% Back in Rewards Points with promo code REWARDME (all purchases including Tech; expires 8/31/2016)

+ $10 off a purchase of $75+ if you pay with VISA CHECKOUT and use coupon code VISAGOLD10 (expires 8/21/16)

YMMV 6% eBay Bucks (ends Wedn PM)

If you are part of the eBay Bucks rewards program, check your email/inbox for a new offer. You must first activate the offer by clicking on the appropriate link in the email. You earn 6% eBay Bucks (the standard is 2%) and there is no minimum purchase amount this time around. The usual terms and exclusions apply. Offer ends Wednesday 11:59pm pacific time.

A good place to start deal hunting is the eBay Daily Deals which have their own dedicated search bar over there, so you can search only among the featured deals.

UPDATE: one item of potential interest, especially if you have a …mouse problem is the Logitech MX Anywhere 2 Wireless Laser Mouse for $50 with free shipping or store pickup by Best Buy’s eBay store.

August 14-20: Buy $50 Best Buy Gift Card Get $8 Back in Plenti Rewards

If you are participating in the Plenti Rewards program, for the week of August 14-20 in 2016, at Rite Aid brick and mortar stores, if you purchase a $50 plastic Best Buy Gift Card, you will receive 800 Plenti Rewards points, which are the equivalent of $8. The points load up on your account the next morning. Limit two per customer during that week (Sunday AM until Saturday PM). Assuming you can easily spend the Plenti rewards (Rite Aid, Macy’s, Exxon-Mobil gas stations, etc), it’s like getting a 16% off discount on the Best Buy gift cards.

Tamron SP 150-600mm f5-6.3 Di VC USD with $99 Rewards for $999 (C/N)

It’s time to party like you are spending $999 but also getting $99 to spend in a future party. It is the Tamron SP 150-600mm f5-6.3 Di VC USD Lens on sale for $999 with free expedited shipping in the Canon and Nikon mounts at B&H Photo. These also get you 10% rewards (= $99) to use in future B&H purchases. This is a limited time offer, the expiration date is unknown to me.

YMMV 10% eBay Bucks on $50+ items (ends Wedn PM)

If you are part of the eBay Bucks rewards program, check your emails or messages to see if you have been invited to participate in this offer. You must first Activate it by clicking on the appropriate link there. This gets you 10% back in eBay Bucks on individual items priced $50 or more. The usual limits and restrictions apply (max $100 rewards per single item, max $500 rewards for this promotional period, etc). Offer ends Wednesday 11:59pm pacific time.

A good spot to fish for deals are the eBay Daily Deals section of their website, including the 2TB Xbox One S Launch Bundle for $400 with a $25 eBay Gift Card.

Best Buy Rewards Changes include free 2-day S&H on $35+

Amazon is creating a segmentation in its shoppers based on whether one is a Prime Member or not. Best Buy decided to take a different route, differentiate benefits depending on how much one spends and whether they are participating in their rewards program.

Starting August 28 in 2016, some of the rewards benefits will change for those in the regular MyBestBuy rewards program (no minimum spending) and the Elite (over $1500 per calendar year). They will earn fewer points per purchase, 0.5 per $1 and 1 per $1 respectively instead of 1 and 1.1 respectively. No changes for those in the Elite Plus ($3500+ in purchases per year) and Best Buy credit card holders.

But there are some good news for all rewards members, free 2-day shipping on a lot of qualifying items with orders of $35+ (for the regular rewards) or any amount for the Elites.

16pk Duracell AA or AAA single-use batteries for 1c + Tax after Rewards [updated]

UPDATE: the affiliate links to Office Depot are not working for some reason. Except for Amazon, eBay, B&H and Adorama, the rest of the retailers are mostly clueless when it comes to affiliate programs πŸ™‚ I replaced them with direct links.

If you are part of the Office Depot and Office Max Rewards program, among the Reward Offers for the week of Sunday July 24 until Saturday night fever July 30 in 2016, you can get up to two 16pks of Duracell single-use AA or AAA alkaline batteries for $0.01 after Rewards. Only these 16-packs are eligible. You can get two AA or two AAA or one of each. Maximum two 16pks total regardless of AA or AAA.

You pay $13.99 plus tax (if applicable) for one 16-pack. A few weeks later you will receive the equivalent of $13.98 in Office Depot rewards. Sales tax is not refunded. This offer is good online and also in-store. Make sure you show the reward card if buying in-store or you have the correct Rewards number linked to your online shopping account if buying online.

While there, they have a very nice deal on their website for this hybrid Solo Backpack/Briefcase for laptops. It has two sets of built-in straps, one to wear as a backpack and one to carry as a briefcase. The sale price is $25.

July 24-30: the Duracell Battery Rewards return at Office Depot and Office Max (limit 2)

For the week of July 24-30 in 2016, the Duracell battery promotion is back at Office Depot and Office Max stores. You can buy up to two 16-packs of single-use AA or AAA batteries for $13.99 each, and receive back the equivalent of $13.98 in the Office Depot-Max rewards program. You have to be a rewards member to take advantage of this offer.

100% Back in Rewards on 16pk of Duracell Single Use Alkalines (limit 2; ends Sat PM)

If you are a fan of the Office Depot and Office Max rewards and Duracell single use batteries, the 100% Rewards promotion is back on their 16-pack Duracell Coppertop single-use AA or AAA alkalines. You get 100% back on the purchase price (but not the sales tax) on up to two units. You can do one of each, or two of the same. The offer is good for orders placed online, or in-store or by phone or even by fax (!).

Online orders get free shipping if your order total is $35+. Also participating in the 100% promotion are Folgers ground coffee, with a limit of five. One of these will get you free shipping πŸ™‚

You can see all the offers, and if you page down towards the bottom you will see the details and restrictions of each promotion at the Office Depot Rewards Offers page.

Note that Office Max Rewards do NOT roll. If you pay with your existing Rewards balance, you won’t get new rewards. So you have to pay for these with “new money” (credit, debit, cash, gift cards, store credit, barter) but NOT Office Depot Rewards certificates.

The promotion expires at the end of day on Saturday 4/30/16 (closing time for stores, 11:59pm assume Eastern to be on the safe side for online orders). If buying online, don’t wait until the last minute on Saturday as weekend nights can be computer maintenance hick-up time.

YMMV 8% eBay Bucks on $100+ individual items

If you are part of the eBay Rewards Program (eBay Bucks) you may be eligible to participate in an 8% eBay Bucks rewards promotion on purchases of individual items priced at $100 or higher. Check your emails or eBay messages to see if the eBay computers selected you for this particular promotion. You have to manually activate the offer before you earn the bonus rewards. The offer is good until April 21st at 11:59pm pacific. The typical limits and exclusions apply (you can find them in the email/message).

I have no way of knowing what percentage of eBay Bucks users are participating in each one of these promotions. I can only see the ones sent to my eBay account, but eBay seems to be sending them to different groups of shoppers at different times. Or something like that. The computers are taking over πŸ™‚

A couple of places to look for ideas are the eBay Deals and the Top 100 Trending Deals.

Tamron SP 24-70mm f2.8 DI VC USD and $130 Rewards for $1100 after $200 MIR [C/N]

For Canon and Nikon DSLR photographers, the Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 DI VC USD is available for $1100 after a $200 mail-in rebate at B&H Photo and Adorama. It also earns 10% promotional rewards on the purchase price (around $130 to be used on future purchases). So this is a double dip, both a mail-in rebate and promotional rewards.

Note that the Alpha Minolta version is also participating in this promotion but it is not a stabilized (VC) lens.

Sigma 150-600mm f5-6.3 DG OS HSM Sports with $180 Rewards and USB Dock and 105mm WR UV filter for $1800 (C/N/Si)

This is a “bury the lead” offer, the email advertises a 20% back on Fashion items, with the 10% buried below it. The email is titled “HUGE BONUSβ€”earn up to 20% eBay Bucks.”

A good place to look for specials are the eBay Daily Deals and their accompanying Trending Deals Top 100 (some of the deals may be auto-tuned or oversampled).

Q2 2016: 5% on Warehouse Clubs with Chase Freedom

If you shop at warehouse clubs (eg BJ’s, Sam’s Club, etc), and you have a Chase Freedom credit card, their 2nd quarter (4/1 to 6/30 in 2016) 5% cashback promotion includes purchases at some warehouse clubs. This is capped at $1500 per card for the whole quarter. Warehouse clubs have limited camera and photo selection, but if they happen to have any cameras and lenses you want/need, then that’s an extra 5% for you to spend in the future. If you have multiple cards, and camera purchases over $1500, you can split the purchase between two cards (if possible).

You have to manually opt-in for this promotion at the Chase website or using the 1-click reminder emails (if you signed up for those). You have until mid-June to retroactively activate it, but if you activate now, you will earn the rewards now as opposed to two months later. Or you may forget.

PS: the Chase pages mention BJ and Sam’s Club by name. They do not mention Costco. I do not know if Costco is not mentioned simply because the other ones may be paying to be featured or not. To be certain, try a small purchase first or contact the Chase customer service. I don’t have a Costco membership so I cannot test it ~ you will know I have a Costco membership when the prizes for blog contests are 100pks of socks and toilet paper πŸ˜‰
