Olympus 45mm f1.8 for $199 [m43]

The second of the Olympus BF lens sales that is getting a 50% off price drop [see Oly BF teasers] is a prime temptation! The Olympus 45mm f1.8 has dropped from $400 to $200 with free shipping at Adorama and B&H Photo and Amazon itself. At B&H and Adorama you get $8 promotional rewards as well, while at Amazon you get a $10 statement credit if you pay with Prime VISA or Discover with activated Q4 rewards. With free shipping but not a Wattpad subscription 🙂

Olympus 40-150mm f4-5.6R for $99 [m43]

The biggest percent price drop of the Olympus Black Friday sales is 50% and two lenses are doing this. The first of the two is the good old Olympus 40-150mm f4-5.6 R M43rds lens returning to $99 again at Adorama and B&H Photo and Amazon itself. At B&H and Adorama you get $4 promotional rewards as well, while at Amazon you get a $5 statement credit if you pay with Prime VISA or Discover with activated Q4 rewards. In-Stock Now: Olympus 45mm f1.2 PRO [m43]

I am posting as fast I can type, although how fast I can think is the limiting factor here 🙂 Prime your E-system cameras! The new condition Olympus 45mm f1.2 ED PRO lens is in-stock and shipping at B&H Photo at its starting price of $1199 with free expedited shipping.

The lens is not on the list of the Olympus Black Friday lenses but since these start on Thursday, you may want to add it to your shopping cart and wait until the Black Friday Olympus deals go live in case it gets discounted. It is unusual for a “just released” professional tier product to get discounted, but Thursday is just 11 hours away in the Eastern Time Zone 🙂

Olympus posts Black Friday Preview (Sales Begin Thursday)

SPOILER ALERT! If you don’t want to be spoiled about the Olympus Black Friday deals that begin Thursday 11/23/17, do not check the Olympus Black Friday preview. The sale prices go live tomorrow (Thursday). These are the new condition cameras and lenses sold at various authorized Olympus dealers.

+ new low on their E-M1 II flagship, it will drop from $1800 to $1700
+ E-M10 III kits drop $100, body for $550, with lens for $650

Here are screenshots of the lens teasers, it’s much faster (and more accurate) than me transcribing pictures 🙂

Imported Panasonic GH5 body w/1-YR seller warranty for $1500

One of the cameras teased in the eBay BF Ads [see BF Ads Digest mega-post] is the Panasonic GH5 body only for $1500, and I think I’ve found that offer. As expected, it is imported/grey-market, offered in new condition by 6ave’s eBay store with a limit of up to three per buyer. It comes with a 1-year seller warranty.

This is a $50 drop since the last time I updated the Stock Status Tracker where the same seller offered it for $1550. The new condition price at authorized dealers remains $2000 (thank you MAP pricing).

BUT another option emerged now, KEH Camera has limited supplies in USED “LN-” (Like New Minus) condition for $1829 plus shipping. And if you buy before 12/31/17, you get a 365-warranty from KEH Camera instead of the usual 180-day. Definitely better to have a KEH warranty than an eBay seller warranty 🙂

Refurbished Olympus 8mm f1.8 fisheye [m43] for $660

We don’t want fans of fisheye lenses to feel left out, so here we go! The new condition Olympus 8mm f1.8 ED Fisheye PRO lens goes for $900 in new condition at authorized dealers such as Amazon itself and B&H Photo but if you want to save $240 on the price…

… then to the refilled Olympus Outlet store we go where they offer this lens in manufacturer refurbished condition for $660 with free shipping and a 90-day Olympus warranty.

Refurbished Olympus 25mm f1.8 for $200 [m43]

The Olympus 25mm f1.8 lens goes for $300 in new condition at authorized dealers such as Adorama and Amazon itself, but if you are comfortable with manufacturer refurbished, the lens is back at the just refilled Olympus USA Outlet Store as follows:

+ Black 25mm f1.8 for $200
+ Silver 25mm f1.8 for $230

Refurbished Olympus PEN-F for $700

Some people use pens to write with ink, others use them to write with light. If you are of the latter persuasion, the manufacturer refurbished Olympus PEN-F (black) is back in-stock for $700 with free shipping and a 90-day USA warranty at the Olympus USA Outlet Store.

At the moment, in new condition at authorized dealers it goes for $1000, such as B&H Photo and Amazon itself.

Refurbished Olympus 17mm f2.8 [m43] for $90

Let them have pancake lenses said Marie Photographette! And the Olympus USA Outlet Store obeyed the order…

… the manufacturer refurbished Olympus M.Zuiko Lens 17mm f2.8 (Silver) is back in-stock for $90. Free shipping or flat $5 if the order total is under $100, I don’t remember. It comes with a 90-day Olympus USA warranty.

This lens is no longer available in new condition. The most reputable dealer carrying right now is used at KEH Camera for $159+

Refurbished Olympus E-M10 II Body Only for $300

The manufacturer refurbished Olympus E-M10 II body only (second generation) is now in-stock and ready to ship for $300 with free shipping and a 90-day Olympus USA warranty as part of the Olympus USA Outlet Store refill. It is in-stock as of the time of writing…

In new condition, this goes for $550 at authorized dealers such as Adorama and B&H Photo and $650 with the 14-42 or $750 with the 12-50. This was the price of the body only two weeks ago as well when I posted the Mirrorless Price Charts.

If you prefer the refurbished E-M10 II with the 14-42mm EZ, it goes for $430 in black or silver at the Olympus Outlet store, which is exactly the price of the refurbished 14-42mm EZ lens on its own. So if you go refurbished, the delta between the body only and the “with 14-42 EZ” is +$150, while in new condition is +$100. In other words, if you don’t feel compelled to have the 14-42 EZ lens, you can also look into getting a different lens, for example, a $90 pancake.

Refurbished Olympus E-M10 Body Only for $200

The manufacturer refurbished Olympus E-M10 body only (first generation) is now in-stock and ready to ship for $200 with free shipping and a 90-day Olympus USA warranty as part of the Olympus USA Outlet Store refill. It is in-stock as fo the time of writing…

+ Pentax K-Lenses: 42 options including 24-70/2.8 SDM for $1100, 70-200/2.8 AW for $1600, 100/2.8 WR Macro for $500, etc

+ CORRECTED: an “option swith” is “options with” with the “s” at the wrong place 🙂

More on these later on, as, unfortunately, I am not IBM’s Watson and I cannot “digest” hundreds of lenses (over 500 of them in these two posts) on the fly. Not to mention that glass causes indigestion. Mayhaps I’ll start with the plastic lenses first 🙂

Optionally you can triple the warranty by filing with Panasonic. Details in PDF files at both retailers above.

There are many and more Micro Four Thirds options these days, so the decision on which one(s) to get may require a few spreadsheets and Tylenols 😉

PS: the difference between a Prime and a non-Prime Chase VISA is your Prime status. If you are a Prime member, it becomes a Prime VISA and you get 5% back on your statements. If you are not a Prime member, you get 3% back.
