IMPOSSIBLE PROJECT I-1 INSTANT CAMERA BUNDLE for $60

To keep marketing and legal departments busy, companies often decide to change names. Such is the case for “Massdrop” which is now just “Drop” 🙂

Which brings us to one of their latest offerings, the new condition IMPOSSIBLE PROJECT I-1 INSTANT CAMERA BUNDLE offered for $60 with free US shipping.

This is currently only shipping to US addresses, so if you are outside the US, try forwarding services or long lost cousins 🙂

Panasonic ZS60 travel zoom for $250 [limit 3]

Zoom-zoom! For a limited time, Amazon itself is offering the new condition Panasonic ZS60 travel zoom in the black color scheme for $250 with free shipping with up to three cameras per customer at the sale price. This is a limited time offer but not a lightning deal, so there’s no ticking clock on the offer.

With many and more superzoom cameras out there, there are plenty of choices out there, making it a pleasant headache in deciding which one(s) to get 🙂

Speaking of Amazon, one of their Wednesday daily deals is a sale on renewed Microsoft Surface Studios of the first generation kind with prices ranging from $1359 (i5, 8GB, 1TB) to $1885 (i7, 32GB, 2TB)…

Last but not least, you can get it for $427 but with a $100 Adorama gift certificate at Adorama, making it a virtual $327 assuming you have good use for the gift card…

Impossible Project I-1 Camera Bundle for $40 w/FS

It’s neo-retro time at Massdrop, this time they are offering for a limited time the new condition Impossible Project I-1 Camera Bundle for $40 with free shipping to USA addresses. This particular offering cannot be shipped outside the US per their shopping cart.

$40 gets you the I-1 camera, a carrying case, and neck and hand straps. Optionally, in the shopping cart, you can add various films for about $13 per film option. There’s also a $7 Polaroid photo box option. “Film” as in 600-type and I-type.

Ricoh GR-D III: In-Stock in the EU, US Coming Soon [updated]

We have another in-stock alert, this time on the other side of the pond. The new Ricoh GR-D III big sensor prime is now in-stock for 899 euro at Amazon Germany, sold and shipped by themselves…

UPDATE 3/24/19 at 1:17am ET: in the US, Amazon itself is taking orders for its starting price of $899 in the all-encompassing “temporarily out of stock” status, while Adorama and B&H Photo are marked as “Coming Soon”…

UPDATED 3/22/19 at 1am ET: In the US, the camera is now in-stock and ready to ship for its starting price of $900 at Adorama with free expedited shipping … Amazon itself went from a March 22nd estimate to “currently unavailable”… B&H Photo has a March 25 release estimate… As it is often the case with higher-demand lower-availability cameras, there’s often a bit of chaos during the initial release, so dates and estimates may change early and often. A silver lining that it mayhaps is a great choice since others are jumping in early as well 🙂 ..

Kodak AZ652 superzoom (65X OIS, RAW) for $300

Adorama does not have conventional daily deals but on occasion they have “snapshot deals” which are limited time offers… One such offer running right now is the new condition Kodak AZ652 superzoom going for $300 with free US shipping… This has a 65x optical zoom with OIS (24-1560mm EQ, f2.9-6.7), 5fps, RAW but on a 1/2.3″ backlit CMOS, flip-out LCD, 1cm macro, EVF, Wifi, 400 CIPA, 21oz body-only, etc.

PS: for our younger viewers, Kodak is not a company created by the famous rapper to sell merchandise. It is an older company, based in upper New York state. The name though for camera marketing purposes is owned by one of the brand-remilking companies, not by the OG Kodak, and still not by the rapper Kodak 😉

I have not attempted to buy them all 🙂 The rainbow pack is 10 exposures. Sale ends Saturday at 11:59pm pacific time or earlier if sold out.

Best Buy running 20 days of Doorbusters

Shortly after marketing departments tire of the Black Friday and Cyber Monday verbiage, it’s time for the “X Days of” type of marketing. Which brings us to Best Buy, morphing their daily deals into their 20 Days of Doorbusters. Among the current offerings there, you can get the new condition Polaroid Originals OneStep 2 VF Analog Instant Film Camera [it could use a better name] going for $90 with free shipping or free store pickup.

Probably not ideal if you are planning building-size prints, but for the price that’s a lot of camera 🙂

PS: this is currently on sale for $300 at authorized USA dealers such as Amazon and Adorama and such…

EU: Used Sony RX10 Mark IV for 1448 euro

Price aside, the Sony RX10 Mark IV mayhaps is the closest to a “do it all Paul” type of a camera with a 1″ sensor, a solid superzoom range with OIS, fast autofocus, 4K video, etc, etc, etc. But the price is quite high for this model. If you are tempted but you are fond of buying used, as of the time of writing, the German Amazon Warehouse Deals has it in USED condition for 1448 euro. Note however that this is repackaged and the battery is missing [uses typical Sony batteries] and has small scratches…

Pre-order new compact Sony HX99 Travel Zoom (30X optical)

It looks like Sony may have potentially produced an interesting new compact travel-zoom [pending the usual reviews, samples, comparisons and such]. It is the new Cybershot HX99 with a 30x optical zoom (24-720mm eq) Vario-Sonnar T* lens, 4K video, 18mp Exmor R CMOS 1/2.3″ sensor, 10fps, Bionz X, and RAW [B&H has a detailed spec sheet under the “Specs” tab – see link below]! It is a small sensor but RAW is better than not having RAW for those who like to squeeze more out of their camera.

It is available for pre-ordering for $448 at Adorama and B&H Photo and Amazon itself with a early November 8 release estimate.

EU: Sony RX10 First Generation for 650 euro

The Sony RX10 Mark IV is the leader of the RX10 series but with a price that is not that far from 2000 (Euro or Dollars), one who loves the idea of the RX10* models but has a fiscally strict spouse-CFO may be interested in the original model, the first generation RX10, it is currently on sale in new condition for 650 euro by Amazon Germany itself with a maximum of two units per Amazon account at the sale price.

One could buy almost three of these for the price of one Mark IV with its 4K and bigger lens and speed-demon auto-focus and such…

EU residents pay no additional VAT/customers. Outside the EU, it depends on your location and situation…

[DEAD] Europe: Sony RX100 IV for 599 euro, RX100 II for 399e
