Affinity Photo imaging software for $37.49 [Windows]
Adobe just had a record breaking quarter with over two billion dollars in revenue, but that’s not stopping them from raising prices for the Creative Cloud subscription (but not the Photographer Creative Cloud). If you have had enough of Adobe’s tactics and antics or you just want to check out alternative image processing software, the official Microsoft Store is offering the Windows version of “Affinity Photo” by Serif for $37.49. Their other software, “Affinity Designer” is also on sale for the same price. IF you have any Microsoft Store gift cards or Bing Rewards, don’t forget to use them! The sale runs for the next 13 days [as of the time of writing] per the product page.
DxO Labs FilmPack 5 Elite Edition for $49 w/free S&H
Micro Center too is now selling through Amazon and as of the time of writing they are offering the DxO Labs FilmPack 5 Elite Edition for $50 with free shipping. This is the physical software (not a digital download) and ships from Microcenter and it is not Prime eligible. This is not a lightning deal.
Corel Paintshop PRO 2018 for $40 Full or $30 Upgrade
Adobe is not the only making imaging software! Corel is alive and kicking and they are offering their PaintShop PRO 2018 as a digital download for $40 full version OR for $30 as a qualifying upgrade (must have a previous licensed version of Paintshop PRO or Ultimate that was not Academic or Home-and-Student or OEM or NFR).
If you prefer more software and digital assets to go with it, they are offering their PaintShop Pro 2018 Ultimate bundle as a digital download for $80 full version or $64 as a qualifying upgrade. This bundle includes Painter Essentials 5 and Aftershot 3 and Perfectly Clear 3 SE (by Altentech Imaging) and the Creative Collection (various brushes, textures and royalty free backgrounds).
If you prefer media by mail, Corel charges an extra $8, however, Amazon has a PC Disc Exclusive version of the Ultimate for $80 with free shipping, and it includes the “MultiCam Video” software. Amazon does not offer the qualifying upgrade $64 option.
FREE (Google Play): Silent Camera app
Free for the next five days and change (from blog-posting date) is the typically not-free Google Play app Silent Camera (Silent Mode) by Gazami software. The purpose of the app is to silence your smartphone’s built-in camera if you can’t turn off all the annoying consumer-y sounds from your phone’s own camera menus.
