If you are a bit of an adventurous shopper, and your world view is wide and slightly curved, there is currently the certified refurbished 29-inch Ultra Wide Curved Samsung S29E790C WFHD LED-backlit Monitor is offered for $310 with free shipping by Woot with the order fulfilled by Amazon. It only has three customer reviews, one is happy, one is happy but the first one was a dead-on-arrival, and the third got the wrong power cord. So there is some risk here. If you are risk averse and start fuming at the thought of having to return/exchange something, you may want to skip it.
The monitor has 2560 x 1080 resolution (21:9), Picture in Picture, HDMI, DisplayPort, VESA, etc. Gallery picture #6 shows the connections on the back but it’s a small picture. Zooming in, it looks like there are three, maybe the two are the HDMI (I’m only guessing).
On the storage front, the 64GB SanDisk Ultra microSDXC UHS-I Card with Adapter (Grey/Red, Standard Packaging, model SDSQUNC-064G-GN6MA) is currently on sale for $16 at Amazon by Amazon itself with a limit of three units per customer. As of a 2/22/17 recheck, this is sold out… Zoom-zoom for Nikon DSLR users. The Nikon 70-300mm f4.5-5.6G ED IF AF-S VR lens is currently on sale for $379~ with free shipping at Amazon by Amazon itself with a limit of up to ten units per customer. This is not a lightning deal, it’s either a sale or a price-match (manual or computer-generated). This is a new condition with USA warranty.

As the Amazon World Turns! At the moment when you surf around Amazon product pages without being logged on to a Prime Amazon account, you will notice that the free shipping minimum has changed again. Instead of $49+, you only need $35+ in products sold and shipped by Amazon, and/or sold by 3rd-party sellers but fulfilled by Amazon’s facilities. The $25+ book option also remains in place. I am not sure yet whether this is a temporarily experiment or permanent. It is possible that Amazon is price-matching the Walmart-Jet $35 minimum.
For example, here’s a random $40 item that shows free shipping for non-Prime members.

This feels like the old days. It’s raining sales left and right! As part of the Monoprice Camera Clearance, the new condition Canon D-Rebel T5i with 18-55 IS STM is on sale for $400 with free standard US shipping. Limit one unit per customer. The T5i was one of the influential-affordable APS-C DSLRs back in the earlier days. Canon has released many and more APS-C DSLRs since including the brand new D-Rebel T7i that is coming out in the next few weeks. The T7i with 18-55 goes for $900.
Doorbuster time! Monoprice appears to be “discovering” doorbusters. They are currently offering the 32GB Sandisk Blade USB 2.0 Flash Drive for $7 with free standard US shipping. Yes, Monoprice free shipping! You can buy as many as you like. Per the shopping cart test, they appear to have thousands available. This is one of the items in their current Clearance Sale – click on the sub-tabs there, eg Computer items or Camera items.
Another option in the E-system a6XXX-series, the Sony a6300 with 16-50 and 55-210 kit is currently on sale for $1196 with free expedited shipping at B&H Photo and by Beach upon Amazon (Prime shipping speed but ships directly from Beach Camera). To detect this benefit, you have to be logged as a Prime member, and pay attention to the highlighted areas of the screenshot below:
Note also that the a6500 two-lens kit with the same lenses will be discounted to $1700 on Sunday. The usual price trade-offs of latest versus not-latest model.
The Sony 55-210mm lens goes for $350 on its own but it is combined-purchase discounted when it is bundled with camera kits or bundles.
While not reaching Nikon APS-C DSLR level of choice overwhelm, the Sony E-system is getting there with many old and new cameras and kits floating in the market. One of them, of potential interest as a “taking pictures with” starter kit is the Sony a6000 with the 16-50 and 55-210 lenses, on sale for $798 with free shipping at B&H Photo (with 5% promotional rewards = $40~ to spend in future B&H purchases) and Adorama (Slinger, 16GB Lexar, filters, Corel)
Two Sony a6500 kits discounts will go live on Sunday but one of them has already gone live, it’s a non-standard kit, the Sony a6500 with 55-210mm (f4.5-6.3 OSS E, black) is currently on sale for $1546 with free shipping at B&H Photo. The sale continues until March 4 in 2017, so you can wait until Sunday if you are not certain which one of these kits to get.
TL;DR: the a6500 with 55-210 is on sale NOW, while the other two kits (16-50 or 16-50 & 55-210) will go on sale on Sunday.

Used items at B&H come with a 90-day warranty from B&H. Given that B&H is a well-known and reputable dealer, this is a lower risk used purchase than buying from cookie-cutter eBay refurbishers and such.

If you go loopy for Eneloop(s), the 8pk of Panasonic Eneloop AA 2000 mAh rechargeables, model BK-3MCCA8BA, is currently going for under $16 at Amazon by Amazon actual. You may be able to get them for slightly less if you sign-up for “Subscribe and Save”. Point of potential number confusion: it’s 2100 recharges, and 2000 mAh. If you are comfortable with manufacturer-refurbished DSLRs with a 1-year warranty, for just $49 more than the new condition Canon 80D body only, you can get the manufacturer refurbished Canon 80D with the 18-135mm f3.5-5.6 IS USM for $1149~ from the official Canon USA online store with a 1-year warranty.

Groupon has a new doorbuster type of an offer, Pay $5, Get a $10 electronic Target Gift Card. You can also buy it as a gift for other people.
The page there says only those invited by email can get it. I checked my Groupon emails and I wasn’t invited but I can add to cart and go to the “Place Order” page, so maybe they opened up the offer to everyone. I don’t need a Tarjay gift card at the moment, and being a poor blogger, I can’t buy it just so I can test the offer 🙁
