The latest round of Fuji X-System savings is now nicely organized at Adorama. Participating are the X-T1 for $1000, X-T10 for $700, X100T for $1100, the X-Pro1 bundle we mentioned a couple of days ago, along with the X-A2 w/16-50 for $500 [correction: this is the X-A2, not the X-E2, thanks to one of our readers for the email alert; all apologies for the confusion!], and 16 lenses getting their fair share of instant savings discounts. This particular round of instant savings expires 12/26/15.

UPDATE: the new instant savings promotion is also up and running at B&H Photo, where you have the Camera Kits and the X Lenses.

Sandisk Extreme Sale (various options; CF, SD mostly)

UPDATE: there is also a Sandisk Extreme Pro sale of 14 SD and Compactflash cards at B&H Photo with capacities ranging from 16GB to 512GB.

UPDATE #2: speaking of memory cards, B&H has a sale on Delkin storage (15 options).

Social Media: Create & Share B&H Wishlist for Chance to win $1000 Gift Card

Good until December 25 in 2015, B&H Photo has a social media giveaway: create a wishlist at the B&H Photo website, share that Wishlist page on Twitter with the hashtag #BHwishlist, and have a chance to win a $1000 B&H Gift Card. Given some of the replies on Twitter, some people don’t understand how it works, so your chances of winning – if you actually read the instructions (I know, so demanding!) – are higher… These are the terms and conditions

Olympus M43rds Lens Instant Savings (13 options)

Lensbaby Edge 80 for $200 or Composer Pro with Edge 80 for $300

Some may call Lensbabies the Jon Snows of lenses, but that’s another story for another day 😉 A couple of Lensbaby items are currently on sale at Adorama: the Lensbaby Edge 80 Optic is on sale for $200 with free shipping, while the Lensbaby Composer Pro with Edge 80 Optic is on sale for $300 with free shipping in the Canon or Nikon options… All three earn 4% promotional rewards, which, if my math is correct (I used a scientific calculator for this), they are $8 and $12 respectively…

Canon G1X with Pixma Pro 100 and Paper for $550 after $350 MIR (prepaid AMEX GC)

Adorama is back with another Canon + Printer + MIR bundle. This time you get the Canon G1x + Pixma Pro 100 printer + 13×19″ Photo Paper for $550 after a $350 mail-in rebate (prepaid American Express gift card). Rebate details in this PDF file.

Featured eBay Camera Sale (586 options)

eBay has another semi-curated featured Camera sale with a total of 586 items participating, from $18 generic Canon D-Rebel battery grips to DSLR bundles with boatloads of accessories. This is an ever-scrolling page, so the further you scroll down, the more items appear. You can filter them by product category and/or brand using the options on the left-hand side of their website over there.

Unfortunately I cannot multi-thread (verb) myself like a computer-server and go through the 586 items just like that, so for now it is a YMMV adventure if you are curious.

AMEX Offers (YMMV): Spend $60+ on Amazon, Get $15 Statement credit

This is a targeted offer, so there is a YMMV aspect to it. If you have an American Express credit card, check the AMEX Offers section. One of the offers making the rounds is a $15 statement credit if you make a purchase of $60+ at Amazon and pay for it with said credit card. You have to manually add the offer to your account, by pressing the “Add to Card” button.

amex_offers_amazon_1560_offer

IMPORTANT: while the offer is good until 12/31/15 after you add it to your AMEX card, the window to add it to your AMEX card is typically much smaller. AMEX Offers are available for a limited time and in limited quantities. To cut a long story short, if you see an AMEX offer you are interested or might be interested in the future, add it to your card as soon as you see it.

$50 Store Credit with Camera Accessory purchase from choice of 30 [prices start at $100 for Lowepro Camera Bags]

If you are a regular Amazon shopper and you happen to want one of the accessories participating in this promotion, you can get a pretty good deal. The promotion is this: if you purchase one of these Camera Accessories (30 options from Manfrotto, Nanuk, Lowepro, Tiffen), sold and shipped by Amazon itself, then you will receive this bonus: a $50 promotional credit added to your Amazon account 30 days after your order ships. The $50 promotional credit is good for one year after your purchase.

The lowest priced items (as of the time of writing) are the Lowepro Photo Sport 200 All Weather Camera Pack (price $100~) and the Lowepro Flipside 400 AW Pro DSLR Camera Backpack ($103). The highest price is $300. Most are under $200.

If you happen to need one of those accessories, this is a pretty good deal. This is a limited time offer, but an expiration date is not mentioned. Make sure this promotion is mentioned under the Special Offers section of an item before making a purchase (annotated screenshot crop of an example below):

Price Research: the 35mm Full Frame Price Charts

Silver lining of me procrastinating to do a new edition of the Camera Price Charts is that we have captured a fascinating pattern for 2015: most of the new 35mm full frame digital cameras released in 2015 filled the price-gap between $3000 and $5000 of 2014. What was a jump from the Nikon D810 to the Leica M-E is now filled with 2015 cameras. See the charts and discussion on the main blog’s new Camera Price Charts Episode 1: 35mm Full Frame… The rest of the charts are coming this week (DSLRs, Mirrorless, RAWsumers), hopefully one per day 🙂

The new condition price at authorized dealers is $3000 (or $2750 for the body only).

Canon G3X rawsumer and Canon EVF-DC1 Electronic Viewfinder for $920

Love the idea of a compact with RAW camera but sometimes you just have to have a viewfinder as well? Adorama may be solving this dilemma by offering the Canon G3X + Canon EVF-DC1 Electronic Viewfinder together for $918 with free shipping. No coupons, no rebates, just add to cart and proceed. The EVF on its own goes for $220, while the G3X on its own goes for $900. So for just +$20 you are getting a detachable EVF.

Alternately, if you also need more accessories (or you are in the process of building camera-gift-bundles for friends and family), for $938 with free expedited shipping you can get the above two plus many accessories: 32GB Lexar SD, Lowepro Sport 7L shoulder bag, extra 3rd-party battery, screen protector, cleaning kit, and the Corel Creativity software bundle that includes Aftershot Pro 2 and PSP (= PaintShop Pro) X8 among others.

The 75-300 is not stabilized and it is not the USM version, but for a +$20 it may be worth its weight in materials 😉

Groupon Coupon: 20% off Local (eg Photo Prints related), 5% off Goods (eg Camera related)

Groupon has a new coupon code for their website, code TASTY3 gets you 20% off Local Deals or 5% Goods. “Local Deals” is where a lot of the photo-print related items are (custom photo books, canvas prints, metal prints, custom-print gifts, etc), while “Goods” is where their Camera Gear lives… You can also use the search bar over there to look for items of interest, eg “photo books” or “metal prints”… You can also use the category filters on their menu bar or left sidebar…

The coupon is good for one unit per transaction (eg one custom-photo-book), and you can use it on up to three different local offers and up to three Goods offers. Maximum discount is $50.
