Pre-order alert: Ricoh GXR body and P10 compact-zoom module for $500

Amazon is accepting pre-orders of the Ricoh GXR body plus P10 compact-zoom module for $500. This is a much lower price than the typical GXR prices, as you get both the GXR body and the P10 sensor+lens module that is comparable in specs to the Ricoh CX-series of compact-zoom (28-200mm eq) models. UPDATE: Also accepting pre-orders for this kit is Adorama.

The prices of the other two GXR kits are as follows at Adorama, and they are better than buying the GXR body and sensor-lens block separately:

+ GXR body + S10 sensor+lens block for $720 [think Ricoh GX200 rawsumer]

+ GXR body + A12 sensor+lens block for $1081 [this is the 12mp APS-C size sensor with 50mm-eq macro lens]

The prices of the stand-alone sensor+lens modules are:

+ GR S10 sensor+lens module for $437 (no GXR body)

Ricoh GXR system gets first $100 discount!

We have the first discounts of the Ricoh GXR system! Adorama is selling special bundles of bodies + lens-blocks at a $100 discount off the opening prices. Here they are at Adorama:

+ GXR body + 50mm lens-block for $1259 (separately $549 + $830 = $1379)

+ GXR body + S10 lens block for $888 (separately $549 + $440 = $989)

+ for more on the new GXR system, be sure to check its mini blog

Amazon has them in-stock natively but only sold individually at the opening price. You can also get the Adorama bundles via Amazon. You can see those after the jump...
