Refurb Olympus 45mm f1.8 [m43] for $240 [UPDATE: coupon not working!]

UPDATE 6:54pm ET: the coupon code CYBERSAVINGS is not working! Their shopping cart says it is not valid, but the coupon is shown on the Olympus USA Outlet store page. It may be a technical issue, or an error in the coupon, or an error in the display of the coupon. Or they posted it too early or too late. Thanks to our readers for the alert! All apologies for the confusion…

The factory reconditioned Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 45mm f1.8 goes for $240 with free shipping and a 90-day Olympus USA warranty in the black color scheme at the Olympus USA Outlet store. It is in-stock as of the time of writing. The coupon is a limited time offer.

In new condition, this lens goes for $324 at authorized Olympus USA dealers such as Amazon itself and Adorama and B&H Photo.

I just tried twice to buy this lens, and Olympus’ site would NOT accept the coupon code. Went through the whole purchase routine and at the end, with tax and shipping, it came to $269! I did this on a Chromebook, so maybe that’s a problem for some reason. I’m going to go try it on a Win 10 machine and see if that works. BTW, this is not the first time I’ve had trouble buying and/or getting an advertised discount on Olympus’ reconditioned products pages.

    • Thanks for the alert! It is not working for me either on either lens. Their online retail store is poorly managed, probably an intern of a 3rd-party company hired by another 3rd-party company to run their store. They may have forgotten to turn on the coupon, or the display mentioning the coupon was not supposed to be shown, or their shopping cart is confused, or they are showing it on the wrong date, and so forth…

      All apologies for the confusion!

No apology needed; you did your part in good faith. Your theory on an intern could very well be right. Or, it could be the high-school tech wizard with an after-school job minding the online store operation (for cheap) got an upsetting text message from his girlfriend and neglected to change the coupon code. I’m pretty sure they’ve used “CYBERSAVINGS” before. As on Cyber Monday.
