$3 “Profit” with loading $30+ on 3-pack of Amazon Anytime Greeting Card Gift Cards

This promotion is a bit confusing. Here’s the TL;DR: you can make a $3 profit by loading $10+ each on three Amazon gift cards sold together as a 3-pack that includes three holiday greeting cards. You invest $33 and make a $3 profit. The profit is a promotional credit that must be spent by 3/31/17. So let’s start from the beginning…

… Amazon launched new awkwardly named Anytime Greeting Card Gift Cards, sold as a 3-pack with a current price of $3 per 3-pack. Despite the hints of the name, these are not reloadable gift cards. You can only load them once per the lifetime of the card. I have no clue why they call them “Anytime” which hints of reusability and reloadability. Just like regular Amazon gift cards, the “Anytime gift card” don’t expire and they don’t have inactivity or other fees.

Free shipping on the cards for Prime members or the usual $49+ (or $25+ in books). You could stack this offer with the Book Coupon offer to get free shipping with a smaller order total.

A promotion is running on these until 12/31/16 that gets you a $2 promotional credit when you load $10 or more on a single Anytime gift card. Since these are sold as a 3-pack, you have to load $10 on each of them, and you get $6 total in promotional credits. So you spend $30 (three $10 loads) plus $3 for the gift cards, and you receive a $6 promotional credit.

I should point out that these are not just physical gift cards, they also include printed holiday greeting cards. They have two designs, a blue general holiday theme and a red Christmas theme. So technically you make a $3 profit and you also get three free holiday greeting cards 🙂

PS: I haven’t done this offer yet, so I can’t tell you the Xs and Os, but there are currently 7 reviews and 6 answered questions about them on the gift card listing that may answer your potential questions.

On the single-use battery front, if you are near a Home Depot store or if you are planning an order that gets free shipping, they are offering a 60-pack of Rayovac AA single-use alkalines for $10. That’s six batteries per $1, which is not a bad price for name-brand batteries. Their website has detailed inventory updates per store location.

PS: also on the single-use batteries front, Office Depot-Max are running weekly 1c After Rewards promotions on Duracell 16-packs of AA or AAA.

Canon D-Rebel T5i Two-Lens Kits with Pixma PRO 100 and Extras for $430 (18-55, 75-300) or $530 (18-135, 75-300) after $350 MIR (prepaid AMEX GC)

The Canon 18-135mm is more versatile as a beginner lens than the 18-55mm and in this case the versatility costs $100 more, which for many, it may be well worth the 20 extra PSLs 🙂 But as always, we blog, you decide!

Adorama is having another round of Canon Pixma AMEX mail-in rebate bundles, good until Sunday night (or earlier if sold out, or later if extended).

The bundles center on the Canon D-Rebel T5i with two lenses, the Pixma PRO 100 printer, its 50pk 13×19″ photo paper sidekick, and a Canon shoulder bag. Both options get the 75-300mm f4-5.6 III non-USM lens. The difference between the two kits is that one comes with the 18-55mm IS STM lens, while the other kit for $100 more gets the 18-135mm IS STM lens.

Good lord this is a long winded post, so here are the links before I continue for another ten paragraphs:

+ D-Rebel T5i w/18-55 & 75-300 & Pixma PRO 100 printer + 50pk 13×19″ + Bag for $430 after $350 mail-in rebate (prepaid AMEX gift card)

64GB Centon USB 3.0 flash drive for $13.49 (limit 3)

Speaking of USB 3.0 flash drives, the 64GB Centon Electronics model S1-U3P6-64GB is on sale for $13.49 with a limit of up to three per customer at Amazon by Amazon actual. The usual free shipping terms apply.

Speaking of Amazon and storage, this 8TB Seagate Expansion Desktop External Hard Drive (USB 3.0, model STEB8000100) goes for $170 with free shipping with a limit of up to five per customer. This is not color-coded, but you can add round sticky labels (such as these) on them to color code them on the fly 🙂

Weekly Duracell Batteries 1c After Rewards until 12/31/16

This is turning into a battery blog 🙂 Good until the end of the year (12/31/16), Office Depot and Office max brick and mortar stores and their website are offering the 1c Duracell Batteries after Office Depot Rewards. The limit is two per customer per week across all purchasing platforms (online, in-store, by phone or fax or telegram or raven). The week is defined as Sunday AM until Saturday PM. If you are buying online avoid the overlap between late Saturday PM to early Sunday AM to prevent time-change and website maintenance issues.

You can find these online as well, shown at the Office Depot Rewards page. Page towards the bottom to see the terms and conditions (or use your browser’s in-page search feature to search for “Duracell”). Per the terms these will be issued separately from the monthly rewards, which is a very good thing (the monthly rewards are only issued in $10 increments so you typically don’t get all your rewards [sneaky way to avoid paying the full amount of rewards earned).

This is a screenshot, View Larger, since the rewards page is not a very responsive design.

officedepot_duracell_battery_rewards2

The terms are the same as before, you buy a 16-pack of single-use Duracell AA or AAA battery. You pay full price ($13.99) plus sales-tax (if collected in your store/state) and you make sure your Office Depot rewards number is on the receipt (or if buying online in your account profile) because that’s how their computer will know to send you your rewards. You don’t need to mail anything or use a coupon. About three weeks later (give or take), you will find $13.98 of Office Depot rewards in your Office Depot rewards account. You may not get an email alert, so don’t forget to check there. This is limit two for the week.

This also may appear in the weekly ads, this is the December 4-10 (2016) ad:

officedepot_duracell_battery_rewards

NOTE that the new-era Office Depot/Max rewards do NOT roll over. If you pay for a rewards-earning item with rewards, you will NOT earn new rewards. You can’t roll them over. The rewards have expiration dates, so if you want to max out, make sure you also plan how to spend all those rewards in the future before they expire. Office Depot-Max carries all kinds of things, so it shouldn’t be hard – as long as you need it that is. Or you can always buy supplies on clearance/sale, and donate them to local schools and charities and non-profits 🙂

72pk Sony Stamina Plus single-use AA or AAA for $19

The longer-running Woot Electronics deals feature a Sony Stamina Plus single-use battery sale featuring 72pks of AA or AAA for $19 each, with a limit of up to three per option. Shipping is the usual $5 flat for everything you buy at Woot during a calendar day in the Central time zone. The sale ends 12/31/16, so one could wait until they find something else to buy from Woot (eg daily deals or future Woot-Off), so they can pay shipping only once.

32GB Toshiba USB 3.0 Flash Drive for $11 w/free S&H

And now a flash drive doorbuster at the eBay Deals, eBay seller “Refurb for Less” (98.8%, California) is offering the new condition [PRO TIP: choose your eBay names carefully!] 32GB Toshiba USB 3.0 Flash Drive (model PFU032U-1BRG) for $11 with free shipping, with a limit of five per customer.

This is a retractable flash drive, not a detachable. The one picture there is confusing, you may think it’s a tiny thing like the Sandisk Ultra Fit, but it’s not. Look at the pictures further down the description at Amazon to get a better feel of its size and shape and usage.

Imported Nikon D750 body w/30-day seller warranty for $1299

The Nikon D750 body only goes for $1800 at authorized dealers who include various free accessories (eg Adorama) but if you are comfortable with higher-risk imported items…

… among the Trending eBay Deals, eBay seller Red Tag Camera (99.9%, Brooklyn) is offering the new condition imported grey-market Nikon D750 body only for $1299 with free shipping with a limit of five per customer.
