Labor Day Round-Up: B&H, Dell, Etc

For “post economy” reasons, here’s a round-up post with some of the latest Labor Day deals:

+ a lot more offers at B&H Photo organized by brand or product-category or price-range

+ doorbusters throughout the day at Dell Home Deals

+ various offers at the Costco website
+ their B&M stores are closed on Labor Day

+ deals and weekly back to school doorbusters at Staples

+ labor day and birthday deals combined at the eBay website

+ end of summer sale at Humble Bundle

Panasonic G7 with 14-42mm and 45-150mm and FREE Accessories [three bundle options] for $598

If the Panasonic full-frame Sirens Call is falling on deaf ears, but you still want a Panasonic mirrorless camera system, you are in luck because as of the time of writing the Panasonic G7 with 14-42mm and 45-150mm two-lens kit is on sale for $598 with free US shipping but that’s not all. Some of the retailers are also including free items with it!

+ at B&H Photo the freebies are an RJ shoulder bag, a 32GB Sandisk Extreme PRO SDHC card, a cleaning kit and a 52mm Chiaro UV lens filter

+ at Adorama you have the software-and-accessories kit; the software (Corel Video Art suite) is available in either Mac or PC, so check the appropriate one. The free accessories are a Marantz microphone, 32GB Sandisk Ultra SD card, Slinger shoulder bag, two ProOptic lens filters [one for each lens], and a couple of trinkety things (USB 2.0 card reader, cleaning kit]

+ on the other hand, if you don’t need all the extra accessories and software and instead you love Hoya filters, you can get this kit bundled with Hoya NXT Plus HMC MC UV filters (one for each lens) for the same price at Adorama

PS: optionally you can extend the original 1-year warranty to a 3-year warranty by e-filing with Panasonic. There’s a PDF at each retailer’s website with the necessary steps…

Moment Variable Neutral Density Filters (four options)

The new-current Adorama daily deal [changes Tuesday at 10am ET] is a sale on Moment variable neutral density lens filters of different sizes, with prices ranging from $64 (Cine), to $120 (72mm) to $144 (77mm) to $160 (82mm)…

PS: Adorama too is running their Labor Day deals, with a “9 to 5” theme [Dolly Parton not included!]…

FREE (by mail) Sigma 45mm f2.8 L-lens with Panasonic S5 PreOrder/Purchase

This is not a Labor Day deal, but I haven’t posted about it yet, so this is a good time to post it! If you are planning to pre-order/purchase the Panasonic S5 full-frame mirrorless camera by 9/30/20, and you are willing to do some e-paperwork, Panasonic-Sigma will send you by mail [once you complete the predefined tasks] a Sigma 45mm f2.8 L-system lens for FREE! This is the first time as far as I can recall when you buy a camera from Manufacturer X and you receive a free lens from Manufacturer Y 🙂

Anyway, the Panasonic S5 body only is available for pre-order for $1999 at B&H Photo and Adorama, both reputable and authorized dealers, and they both mention this promotion explicitly on their website and include a PDF file of the terms and conditions.

A copy of the receipt and the barcode of the camera are among the items needed in order to get the freebie. One gift per purchase and up to two free gifts per person. The gifts will be handed out in purchase-time order. The PDF even includes an email for questions…

PS1: the offer is also available if you purchase the Panasonic S5 with Panasonic 20-60mm f3.5-5.6 S kit for $2298 from B&H Photo and Adorama… This is not a bad starter kit, with a zoom and the Sigma prime by mail arriving later on…

PS2: the offer is not mentioned at the Amazon website. To be safe, for these type of offers, it’s better to go with the camera-centric retailers because they are more organized with the offers, and your claim cannot get caught up in “you bought from an Amazon 3rd-party seller” nonsense…

PS3: the promotional period is September 2-30 in 2020, so if you had previously pre-ordered (from an eligible/authorized dealer) without knowing about the promotion, you are still eligible to participate…

PS4: and if you file a rebate with me, I will send you a vial of certified Olympus Tears 😉
