Rakuten Coupon: $10 off $50+ (ends Tue PM)

Good until Tuesday at 11:59pm pacific time, the Rakuten website is offering $10 off purchases of $50+ with coupon code GET10 entered over there. Some exclusions and restrictions apply as usual. You can find those in the fineprint at the bottom of the aforelinked page.

Strategically this is good for items that have the same prices everywhere, or rarely go on sale. A number of 3rd-party camera deals also sell on Rakuten, so you are not limited to what they have on their own. Note also that Rakuten has both authorized and unauthorized 3rd-party sellers offering camera gear on their website, so be sure to research an unfamiliar seller before buying!

YMMV eBay 8% to 10% eBay Bucks Rewards on $50+

Good until Tuesday 5/22/18 at 11:59pm pacific… This is YMMV as usual! The offer is being sent out via email and eBay messages, it is a new 8% eBay Bucks promotion, or 10% if you shop with the official eBay apps. This offer has a minimum purchase of $50+ to earn the bonus. Otherwise you earn the standard eBay bucks percentage. You must manually activate it before you earn the extra eBay Bucks. This has no minimum purchase amount. I do not know if every eBay Bucks member gets these offers or the eBay computers do their “targeting thing” (eg nudge people who haven’t shopped in a while to shop, and so forth).

A good place to look for ideas are the eBay Deals along with the Trending Deals (shows only 100 trending deals, less overwhelming to look at than their main deals page). There’s also a dedicated search box there that searches only the Deals, not everything else on eBay.
