Blog Update: Recent Comments widget added in the Sidebar

I just added a WordPress “Recent Comments” widget in the Sidebar of this blog so you can check the latest comments/opinions/corrections posted here.

I don’t want to add the more fancy third-party commenting systems since they add overhead and have their own tracking cookies and audience gathering data and such (which is probably why they are free for everyone to use).

I still have to figure out how to integrate the comment counter on the individual blog posts. The standard way of doing it with the Genesis theme would add a line to every single post and the posts need to get shorter (not longer) to make it easier for people skim and scan. In other words, I have to dive inside the Genesis theme to figure out how to do this and other theme-related things (or switch to a different theme). All options take brain-power and time, and I have neither 🙂

PS: I am having another “Keyboardian Existential Crisis”, so the chances of typos and HTML errors are elevated as I rotate through keyboards. I don’t know why it’s so hard to find a near-perfect keyboard. Maybe because I “hand-write” HTML which makes the bottom right corner of a keyboard a killer zone (the “< >” and Quote and Shift and Enter areas). The tiny little AmazonBasics Compact Camera Case has dropped another quarter in price, you can now get it for $1.68 each, in new condition at Amazon by Amazon itself. Limit three per customer. It is an Add-On item, so you must place a $25+ order to buy it, so if you don’t need anything else, keep it in mind for a future order. Pre-order (probaby not) new Canon D-Rebel T6 w/18-55 for $550+

It certainly takes a lot of onions to release a $500+ entry-level DSLR in 2016, but that’s what happens when you have much and more market share. Canon has a brand new entry-level D-Rebel, the T6, with prices starting at $550 for the with 18-55 EF-S IS II kit lens.
