Olympus E-M5 Body Only for $379

With the Mark II being the latest model, there is more pricing flexibility on the first generation Olympus E-M5. If you only need the body only and have no need of the 14-42mm kit lens, the E-M5 body only, in either the black or silver-black color schemes is now on sale for $379 with free expedited shipping at B&H Photo. It goes for $450 with the 14-42mm in standard or Elite (adjust the little tabs over there to see the various colors and lens options). Certainly not a bad choice as a “first serious” M43rds camera.

Panasonic LX7 for $248

The good old black Panasonic LX7 compact with RAW (1/1.x” sensor) is now on sale for $248 with free expedited shipping at B&H Photo. This has been around for a while, so you should be able to find plenty of reviews and samples and comparisons and such.

10% off Goods, 20% off Local at Groupon with Coupon

Groupon has a new site wide coupon, coupon code JUMBO3 gets you 10% off on Goods (most of the camera-related gear is here), and 20% off Local (a lot of the photo prints and services and classes are here). You can navigate by categories and sub-categories or simply use the search bar to search for brands or product categories (eg prints, DSLR, etc) of interest at the Groupon website. The coupon expires at the end of day on 1/22/16 (Friday). The promotion has been extended by an additional day (1/21/16 (Thursday))

The restrictions on the coupon are as follows: you can use it up to three times in Goods, up to three times in Local and up to three times in Gateways. You can only get one unit of each offer discounted. For example, you can buy three different cameras (X1, Y1, Z1), but only one unit of each camera (one X1, one Y1, one Z1) will be discounted by the coupon. The maximum discount is $50 per deal.

Pre-order ASUS ZenFone Zoom (3x optical) for $400

Optical zoom lenses have had a hard time breaking out in non-superzoom camera-phones, but ASUS is trying their hand at it with the new ASUS ZenFone, and this creature, unlocked with 64GB on-board storage and a 3x flat-ish optical zoom lens (4-11mm f/2.7-4.8) is now available for pre-order for $400 at B&H Photo. This is model ZX551ML-23-4G64G-BK, with Android 5.x, a generous 4GB RAM, Intel Atom Ant Z3580 processor, 5.5-inch iPS Gorilla Glass 4 1920 x 1080 screen, microSD slot, and things like that. This looks like an actual phone, unlike the various Samsung superzoom Android phones that look more like travel-zoom digital cameras than phones.

Pre-order new Leica X-U element-proof Big Sensor Prime for $2950

Sometimes the display cases Leica collectors use to showcase their prized possessions are not completely dustproof or waterproof. Leica has solved those problems today with the brand new Leica X-U (Type 113) fixed lens camera, a 16mp APS-C CMOS with a 23mm f1.7 lens and with a “Water, Dust, and Shockproof Construction”. This new camera is now available for pre-order for $2950 at Adorama and B&H Photo… This too has been added to the New Cameras of 2016 tracking page

Prime Only: Adobe Photoshop Elements & Premiere Elements 14 for $70

This offer is good for Prime members only. You have to add the item to your shopping cart and click “Proceed to Checkout” to see the sale price of $70. For a limited time, you can get the Adobe Photoshop Elements & Premiere Elements 14 software bundle in either Software Box by Mail or Digital Download (PC or Mac). The price you see on the website range from $90 to $115.

While this promotion is running, and you add to the shopping cart, you will see the price get adjusted at the top right corner of the Amazon Checkout page. Annotated screenshot crop right below of the software box by mail:

The box-by-mail is apparently stackable with the digital download promotion, I added both to the shopping cart, and they both go for $70 each (I did not place the order):

NOTE #1: this offer only works if the items are sold and shipped by Amazon itself, not by third-party sellers.

NOTE #2: this only works for the aforementioned bundle. I tried the Photoshop Elements 14 and it’s not on sale. This had been going for around $40 in a similar add-to-cart promotion during the 2015 holiday shopping season.

This is part of the Trending eBay Deals. If you are interested in this and also you are part of the eBay Rewards program, check to see if you qualify for the Bonus eBay Bucks promotion before buying it. It would earn 8% instead of 2% rewards ($16 eBay Bucks vs the usual $4).

Speaking of featured eBay Deals, eBay seller “ANTonline” (98.4%) is offering the new condition 240GB Kingston SSDNow V300 2.5″ Internal Solid State Drive, model SV300S37A/240G, for $62 with free shipping with a limit of three per customer. Their listing says they are an authorized Kingston dealer.

+ 6% (3X) on every qualifying item of $100 or more
