It’s a big storage sale among the Best Buy deals du jour for Thursday 5/14/20, a total of 40 options of the WD and Sandisk kind. Page #2 has the Sandisk SD and microSD and flash drives, while page #1 mostly has the WD hard drives of the internal and external kind. Too many to list here individually… Too many to list here individually…

UPDATE: meanwhile the current Adorama daily deal (changes Thursday 10am ET) is the new condition Flashpoint 13″ Vlogger light AC Powered 50W 5500K Fluorescent Ring Light With Bag going for $39 with free US shippings…

On the other hand, if you prefer a conventional external HDD, and you need a red color-scheme (mayhaps you are color-coding them), then you can get the 5TB Seagate Backup PLUS for $112 with free US shipping.

Monday: 2pk 32GB Sandisk Ultra microSD for $11 after coupon

If you need 32GB microSD cards, or you have older devices that don’t work with higher capacities, good until Monday 3/23/20 at 11:59pm central time (or earlier if sold out) Woot is offering a new condition 2pk of 32GB Sandisk Ultra microSD cards (A1, U1, Class 10, up to 98MB/sec transfer read) for $11 after using coupon code SANDISK in their shopping cart. It comes out to $5.50 per 32GB card after the coupon. The price before the coupon is $16. They come with the Sandisk Limited Warranty. Limit one offer per customer.

PS: another use, if you have higher capacity memory cards in devices that end up not using them, you can swap out the higher capacity cards and put the 32GB cards in them. You may think you’re gonna fill up the tablet’s 128GB microSD card but when you look six months later, it uses up just 12GB 🙂 Not that I’ve done this, this is purely an example for example purposes. Really! 🙂

PS: note that Amazon has been experimenting with showing the average for “ratings”, not always “reviews”. Ratings are everyone who rates a product, whether they write a review or not. In theory the review score is better but judging by the many 1-word/1-sentence reviews (or the nonsensical text of the review), mayhaps the difference between review and rating average is not by much…

The latest Adorama daily deal is the new condition 64GB Sandisk Extreme PRO SDXC UHS-II memory card (up to 300MB/sec, U3, C10) going for $85 with free US shipping while this promotion is running. 512GB Sandisk Ultra microSDXC for $80

The lower capacities (from the highest available) often offer a better bang for the buck in memory cards, but if you must have a 512GB microSDXC memory card, Amazon itself is offering the new condition 512GB Sandisk Ultra (C10, A1, U1, UHS-I) for $80 with up to four per customer at the sale price from Amazon itself… But if you want better stats, the 512GB Extreme (V30, A2, U3, UHS-I) goes for $110…

These came up while price-checking the Friday Best Buy dailies which has the 512GB Sandisk Ultra Plus going for $120…

Tuesday: MicroSD sales: 256GB Sandisk for $45, 128GB G-Skill for $13

One of the Sunday Best Buy daily deals is the new condition 1TB (yes, terabyte [unless you bury the card in the ground, then it becomes a terrabyte] Sandisk Extreme Plus microSDXC memory card going for $350 with free US shipping and/or store pickup where available/possible. This is V30, A2, U3, UHS-I, model Model:SDSQXBZ-1T00-ANCMASKU. Maximum of fifteen cards per customer at the sale price during this promotion…

256GB microSDXC cards: Sandisk Ultra for $38, Samsung EVO Select for $40

I’m still not sure what’s the difference between the “Plus” Sandisk memory cards sold at Best Buy [as seen in today’s earlier $45 256GB daily deal, but if you don’t want/need the PLUS, you can get the “regular” 256GB Sandisk Ultra microSDXC for $38~ by Amazon itself (up to 4 per customer).

Or if you prefer the way of Samsung, one of their many colors, the 256GB EVO Select (the green/lime) is going for $40 by Amazon itself.

Or if you prefer the 200GB storage option, the Sandisk Ultra goes for just a few pennies under $30 by Amazon itself [limit four per customer], or on the same listing you can jump to the 400GB card for $53.

These days I mostly get Samsung and Sandisk microSD cards. Samsung are the only ones so far that I have had zero problems with. (having said that, I probably jinxed myself and my Samsung card with the higher capacity and zero backups is going to go toast soon LOL]…

Thursday: 256GB Sandisk Ultra Plus microSDXC for $45, 64GB Samsung BAR USB 3.1 flash for $13~

And now some storage action for Thursday, one of the Best Buy daily deals is the new condition 256GB Sandisk Ultra Plus microSDXC card (model SDSQUB3-256G-ANCMA) going for $45 with free US shipping and/or free store pickup where available/possible. Limit up to five per customer at the sale price.

Meanwhile at NewEgg, one of their scrambled eggs daily deals (better name than “ShellShocker” since no gets shocked by their prices?) is the new condition 64GB Samsung BAR Plus metal USB flash drive going for $12.59 using coupon code 99RXP4 in the shopping cart.

+ 256GB Sandisk Ultra Plus microSDXC for $42

+ 33-pack battery storage box with assorted sizes for $12

But that’s not all, they also feature separately the new condition Tamrac Stratus 10 shoulder bag for $85 with free US shipping and/or free store pickup where possible…

PS: speaking of deals, retailers often (ab)use the “Christmas in July” theme but once in a while a “Christmas in July” sale-a-bration is “Christmas canon” (as Comic Con canon-obsessed fans like to say). Such is the case with this Monoprice sale which is full of Christmas lights and ornaments and stockings and stocking stuffers 🙂

Sandisk Ultra Fit USB 3.1 Flash Drive: 64GB for $9, 128GB for $18, 256GB for $30

It’s hard not to find uses for USB flash drives these days (although USB-C and Lightning adapters may be necessary in certain cases). If that is so, there’s an organic sale again of the new condition Sandisk Ultra Fit USB 3.1 flash drives going for $9 in the 64GB option, $18 in the 128GB option and the bang for the buck is $30 in the 256GB option.

Of these, the 128GB ships almost right away, while the 64GB is TOOS (temporarily out of stock), while the 256GB has an August 7 shipment estimate. Amazon tends to be on the conservative side of estimates, but that’s not a guarantee they’ll arrive on time or earlier ~ many things can happen that delay the arrival of something that should have been there earlier (from driver flat tires to confused new hires who can’t find your home or apartment). So if you have a hard deadline (eg the plane leaves at 9pm tomorrow) keep that in mind…

There is a limit of up to three per customer. Not sure if it’s three per storage option or three overall. I have a trio of these and they have performed quite well ~ one of them was permanently used as the “hard drive” of one of those $30 OTA basic DVRs.

This is not a lightning deal so the price can (or cannot) change at any time…

Tuesday: 128GB Sandisk Ultra Plus SDXC or microSD for $25 each

Among the Tuesday Best Buy daily deals you can get the 128GB Sandisk Ultra PLUS memory cards for $25 each , in your choice of SDXC or microSDXC… I don’t recall the difference between the PLUS and the non-PLUS models…

Prime Day 2019 Storage Sales: WD, Sandisk, Seagate, Samsung

Sandisk and their new WD overlords are having their own sale box in the Amazon Prime Day 2019 deals. Among the many items in the Sandisk and WD Storage sale:

+ microSD Ultra: 128GB for $20, 256GB for $30, 400GB for $45, 512GB for $100

+ microSD Extreme: 1TB for $341, 512GB for $136, 256GB for $43
