The Panasonic GX8 body only was going for $1200 last week when I posted the Mirrorless Price charts, but this week it is down to $998 at authorized dealers such as Adorama (with freebies) and B&H Photo (4% rewards) and by Amazon itself (5% with Prime VISA).
A handful of Panasonic cameras got discounted today, you can find them at the aforelinked Panasonic category of posts.

At B&H Photo you get a free 32GB Extreme SD and camera bag, while Amazon itself gets you 5% in statement credit if paid with Prime VISA.
Meanwhile the Panasonic FZ1000 superzoom is also getting discounted, going from $800 to $700 with free accessories at Adorama and B&H Photo and Amazon (no freebies).

The Panasonic G85 mirrorless camera is on its way out. The body only kit is already gone, that’s why we didn’t include it in our latest Mirrorless Price Chart, but that doesn’t stop the deals from happening!

PS: the difference between a Prime and a non-Prime Chase VISA is your Prime status. If you are a Prime member, it becomes a Prime VISA and you get 5% back on your statements. If you are not a Prime member, you get 3% back.
There are many and more superzoom options out there these days. If it is the Panasonic ZS50 travel-zoom (30X optical) the one you want, it is currently on sale in new condition for $279 with free shipping at Amazon by Amazon itself (limit 3 per customer) and at B&H Photo.
The Panasonic FZ2500 superzoom with RAW goes for $1200 in new condition at authorized dealers, but for a limited time, B&H Photo and Adorama are bundling a $100 gift card of their own with the camera. In other words, if you buy from B&H, you get a $100 B&H gift card. If you buy from Adorama, you get a $100 Adorama gift card.

The new condition price dropped since then…
Patience is a virtue for this new camera as the estimates point to mid January to mid February 2018. It is the brand new Panasonic G9 non-video flagship, with a dual IS system [about time this became popular], dual SD slots, and an “80 megapixel high-res mode” among other things. The pre-order price is $1700 with pre-orders accepted by Amazon itself and Adorama and B&H Photo.
It will be added to the Stock Status Tracker as we get closer to release date (it’s 2-3 months away).
Also coming along for the ride is the Panasonic DMW-BGG9 Battery Grip available for pre-ordering for $350 at B&H Photo and Adorama and Amazon itself.
The timing of this camera is perfect because our Mirrorless segment of the Camera Price Charts is coming out tomorrow, so it will be included 🙂
This too has been added to the New Cameras of 2017 tracking page. This furthers the Mirrorless cameras lead over DSLRs to 12-8. It is not unreasonable to assume that DSLRs probably don’t have a chance to catch up to them in 2017 but you never know, we’ve had November and December surprised in previous years after all!

The new condition Panasonic GH5 body only continues steady for $2000 at authorized Panasonic USA dealers [towards the middle of the Stock Status Tracker], but the prices of the imported grey-market models are now showing more signs of discounting!
Among the latest eBay Deals, ebay seller “6ave” (99%, New Jersey) is offering new condition imported grey-market Panasonic GH5 body only kits for $1550 with free shipping with a 1-year seller warranty (not Panasonic USA warranty). Limit three per customer.
This is the lowest price I recall seeing. The previous low price I saw was in the $1600s.

RAWsumer temptations here we come! The new condition with USA warranty of the Panasonic LX100 compact avec RAWeaux is on sale for $560 with free shipping at Amazon by Amazon itself. If you are a fan of Canon EF lenses, Panasonic video cameras, and the Super 35 format, your wishes are coming true! Panasonic has revealed their new AU-EVA1 Super35 Cinema Camera that takes Canon EF lenses. This is available for pre-ordering for $7345 at Adorama.

The new Panasonic GX850 with the 12-35mm goes for $550 in new condition at authorized Panasonic dealers which can include some free accessories with it such as Adorama (free Corel software, holster bag, 16GB card, card wallet, etc).
But if you only want the GX850 body-only, and you are comfortable buying international (imported, grey market) camera body WITHOUT any warranty, the Panasonic GX850 body only is available for $390~ with free shipping and no warranty from 6ave through Amazon. This ships directly from 6ave, but if you are a Prime member, you receive Prime-like shipping speed for free. It may not be as fast as Amazon since 6ave is on the East Coast, they don’t have warehouses everywhere like Amazon does.
As usual in situations like this, it is up to you to decide how much risk you are willing to take.
If you are/were planning to get both the Panasonic GH5 camera, and the Panasonic-Leica 12-60mm f2.8-4 OIS DG Vario-Elmarit, Panasonic created a bundle of the two of them for $2600. The GH5 goes for $2000 on its own, and the lens goes for $1000 on its own, so the bundle is at the moment $400 in savings.
And the GH5 with 12-60mm kit is now in-stock and ready to ship for $2600 (technically $2598) at B&H Photo and by various at Amazon.
It should also be in-stock pretty soon at Adorama and by Amazon itself.
PS: Panasonic has two 12-60mm lenses. One is this one, the Leica co-branded 12-60mm f2.8-4 OIS DG Vario-Elmarit; the other is the 12-60mm f3.5-5.6 G Vario which is often bundled with some of the Panasonic M43rds cameras.
