It will be very awkward in the future to have to call a 20 year old lens a “Contemporary” lens. Perhaps Sigma marketing did not zoom far enough in the future when naming these 😉

More imported camera gear action at the eBay Deals, with a Nikon prime. eBay seller “PhotoVideo4Less” (99.9%, Brooklyn::NewYork) is offering the new condition imported Nikon 50mm f1.8G lens for $168 with free shipping. There is no warranty mentioned in the eBay listing, so assume it gets no warranty.
This lens goes for $218 with free accessories at authorized Nikon USA dealers such as B&H Photo and Adorama (including the Corel software bundle). So it’s up to you to trade off the manufacturer warranty and the free accessories versus paying $50 less.
Sometimes the initials of camera mounts make up a real word. A cape. If you are interested in refurbished Canon SLR lenses that come with a 1-year warranty from Canon, they have a sale on a number of them (the ones on sale have a price in red ink) at the official Canon Outlet store. Unlike Amazon, the Canon Outlet store won’t let you buy out of stock items, so it’s finders keepers for these type of deals.
You can sort price (high or low) or alphabetical (either direction) or by “recommended”. You can also increase the items per view to up to 72 if you are on a bigger screen and computer with enough power to handle a bigger page.
The NAB specials are running in all directions, here’s another one.
