Refurbished Canon M10 w/15-45 + 1-YR W for $329

Another sale promotion featuring 38 refurbished Canon DSLRs and MiLCs is now in-progress at the official Canon USA outlet store, offering 1-year warranties on their manufacturer refurbished products as usual.

If you are curious about the Canon mirrorless system, but don’t want to break the bank, one of these offers, in-stock as of the time of writing, is the manurefurb (new proposed LOL term for “manufacturer + refurbished”) Canon M10 with 15-45mm in the black or the white color scheme for $329.

This is an older model on its way out (no longer available at Adorama or B&H), but you can get it in new condition for $450 by Samy’s Camera thru Amazon. This was already off the radar when we posted the Mirrorless Price Chart in early November 2017.

Rokinon 8mm f2.8 UMC Fisheye II for $249 [X/E/EF-M]

From Macros to Fisheyes! The Rokinon 8mm f/2.8 UMC Fisheye II lens is on sale for $249 in three different mirrorless systems, Fuji X, Sony E, and Canon EF-M by Amazon itself and Adorama and B&H Photo.

Refurbished Canons: 38+ DSLR kits and 97+ Lenses

There are so many refurbished sales at Canon I can’t process/post them all individually right now, so here is are the overview listing. I don’t know why they create so many listings, and I don’t know if there is complete or partial overlap between the categories. It is situations like these where it would really help if I was IBM’s Watson and could start 200 background process to sort it out!

+ 38 refurbished DSLR kits
+ 21 refurbished DSLR kit
+ nine refurbished DSLR kits

+ 97 refurbished lenses and flashes and such
+ 11 refurbished lenses
+ 7 refurbished lenses (some are EF-M)
+ 6 refurbished lenses

Refurbished Canon EF-M IS STM Lenses with 1-YR W: 55-200 or 15-45 for $150, 18-150 w/hood for $280

There are so many things to post, so in order to save in the number of posts posted, I am grouping all the refurbished Canon EF-M sales from the official Canon USA outlet with a 1-year warranty into a single post:

Pay $50 more to get either the Canon EVF-DC1 or Mount Adapter Together with Canon M6 Kit Purchaase

The Canon M6 dropped $100 since we posted the Mirrorless Price Charts, currently going for $680 body only and $800 with 15-45 at authorized dealers such as Amazon and Adorama.

But the official Canon USA outlet store has two optional combined purchase discounts on the new condition Canon M6 kits (not the refurbished). Thanks to a combined purchase discount, you can get either the EVF-DC1 for $50 more or the Mount Adapter (EF/S lenses to EF-M bodies) for $50 more. I don’t know if you can get both discounts if you add them all to your shopping cart.

Canon M100 with 15-45mm and EF-EOS M Mount Adapter (EF/EF-S lenses on EF-M bodies) for $550

And now to the Canon mirrorless system we go. The new condition Canon M100 with 15-45mm goes for $500 with some free accessories at authorized dealers such as Adorama.

However, if you also want to buy the Canon Mount Adapter EF-EOS M together with the camera, the official Canon USA store’s Pre-Black Friday sale has a promotion that gets you a $150 off combined purchase discount if you buy together in the same shopping cart:

+ new condition Canon M100 with 15-45mm
+ new condition Canon Mount Adapter EF-EOS M (allows Canon EF or EF-S lenses to be mounted on EF-M mirrorless cameras)

This offer is mentioned on the product pages of both eligible cameras and the Mount Adapter.

The price math is this: $500 + $200 – $150 = $550 total.

In-stock now: Canon M100 mirrorless kits

B&H is back after the holidays and with it are the new Canon M100 mirrorless kits, available in various kits with the M100 w/15-45mm going for $599 in black or white, while the two lens kit (15-45, 55-200) goes for $949 in the same two color schemes.

Rokinon 8mm f2.8 UMC Fisheye II for $249 (Sony E, Canon EF-M) or $259 (Fuji X)

If you are a fan of the Sony E system, it’s your lucky lens day! The new condition Rokinon 8mm f2.8 UMC Fisheye II lens in either the silver or the black color scheme is on sale for $249 with free shipping at B&H Photo and Adorama and Amazon itself.

The options for other systems vary. The Canon EF-M is also going for $249 at Amazon and Adorama, while the Fuji X version goes for $259 at B&H Photo.

Refurbished Canon Mirrorless w/1-YR Warranty: M10 w/15-45 and two Grips for $399; M3 with 18-55 and EVF-DC1 EVF for $499

Three of the four refurbished Olympus refills of yesterday continue (the E-M10 II and silver Pen-F) to be in-stock as of the time of writing, and so do many of the Canon Pumpkin Spice Sales.

A couple of them are “take pictures with” kits if you want to try out the Canon Mirrorless system without spending too much money on it. Both the M3 and M10 mirrorless cameras are starting to fade out in new condition from authorized dealers (eg a number of kits are gone from B&H and Adorama).

Both of the kits offered by the Canon USA store come with a full 1-year warranty and they also come with free accessories to make them more tempting…

Canon M10

The refurbished Canon M10 with 15-45mm EF-M in the black color scheme goes for $399 and includes two free BG-E3 grips, one brown, one black. They go for $24 each on their own. You can keep the extra grips but they are also simple enough to sell or trade with photo-friends…

In new condition, this kit goes for $450 at Adorama without the two free BG-E3 grips. So mayhaps the grips are the deciding factor?

Canon M3

Meanwhile the refurbished Canon M3 with 18-55 IS STM EF-M goes for $499 and it has a freebie of its own, the EVF-DC1 Electronic Viewfinder included automatically by Canon’s outlet store while this promotion is running…

In new condition, this kit is not available at B&H and Adorama, but you can get the M3 body only with the usual freebies (NOT the EVF-DC1 EVF) for $429 at Adorama. The EVF-DC1 is a more expensive freebie, it goes for around $200 on its own, and it’s more versatile, you can also use it with the G3 X and G1 X II rawsumers, which by the way are also on sale as part of the Pumpkin Sale.

PS: it appears we have an impromptu theme today, long-ass/long-winded posts 🙂

Canon M5 Options: refurb w/full warranty for $750, new with Pixma PRO 100 Printer for $959 after MIR

The Canon M5 body only mirrorless camera goes for $929 at authorized dealers, some of which are offering free accessories with it, such as Adorama.

Or it can participate in the Pixma AMEX MIR promotions, such as B&H Photo where you can get the M5 body only along with the Pixma PRO 100 printer and its trusty SG-201 sidekick (50pk 13×19 inch photo paper) for $959 after a $350 mail-in rebate (prepaid AMEX gift card).

Or if you just want the Canon M5 body only kit, without freebies or printers, you can get it in manufacturer refurbished condition for $750 with free shipping and a 1-year warranty from the official Canon USA store.

Pre-order new Canon M100 mirrorless camera

Canon is back with their renewed interest in their mirrorless system. They have a new camera, the M100, that will be available in two options. For $600, with the 15-45mm kit lens, and for $950 with the 15-45 and the 55-200 lenses. They are available in black or white and pre-ordering is available at B&H Photo and Aamzon itself and Adorama.

With this announcement, mirrorless cameras “scored an equalizer”, making the score 8 vs 8 in DSLR vs Mirrorless among the New Cameras of 2017.

Pre-order new Canon M6 mirrorless

Meanwhile Canon is slowly started to take mirrorless a bit more seriously than Nikon, and today they have revealed a brand new EF-M mirrorless camera, the M6. This 24mp APS-C camera is available in three official kits, the body only for $779, the with 15-45mm f3.5-6.3 IS STM for $900, and the with 18-150mm f3.5-6.3 IS STM for $1279. Pre-orders are accepted as follows, with a late March 2017 release guestimate:

Canon M6 pre-orders

Both the 15-45mm and 18-150mm lenses are f3.5-6.3 IS STM. It is not a typo 🙂 Also part of this new product group is the Canon EVF-DC2 Electronic Viewfinder available for pre-ordering in either silver or black (sorry, no Raiders edition) for $249.

This camera has been added to the New Cameras of 2017 page, making this the fifth mirrorless camera to be announced this year (along with the Panasonic GH5 and GX850 and the Fuji X-T20 and GFX 50S).
