Foveon temptations again, the Sigma DP1x has dropped another $50, you can now get it for $250 with free shipping at Amazon by Amazon. This is a previous generation model with a 1.7x Foveon sensor. The current generation DP-Merrill models use the latest APS-C Foveon sensor.

The previous discounted price for this camera was $350 before it flared up. Now it has found a new bottom of $300. We are talking about the Sigma DP1x, fixed lens camera with prime lens using the 1.7x Sigma Foveon sensor, offered at this price at Amazon by Amazon itself.

Please note this is an older lens. It is not stabilized, not APO, not DG. Jack Proton pointed out in the comments below that this lens may give you error messages with Canon DSLRs (see comment below for more).
