Action May Be Needed: Shutterfly to delete “inactive” accounts on March 29 in 2023

If you have a Shutterfly account and haven’t made a purchase during the last 18 months, your photos and projects will be deleted – permanently – on March 29 in 2023.

An “inactive” account/project is defined – by Shutterfly – as one that has not made a purchase during the last 18 calendar months.

You can download your photos by March 29 in 2023 if you don’t them to get permanently deleted. Projects cannot be downloaded.

Not affected by this are Lifetouch and JC Penney portraits by Lifetouch. Whatever that means 🙂

Any purchase, no matter how small in amount or size, can keep your account alive for another 18 months.

For more details check the FAQs at the Shutterfly Photo Storage policy page, where we learn you can also select a CVS or Walgreens in-store pickup for an order that will keep your account alive.

Meaning you can print a couple of 4x6s and pick them up at a CVS/Walgreens of your choice. Even if you don’t have any near you – you can send them to friends/relatives, or just somewhere out there. To avoid paying the shipping and handling fee 🙂

Monoprice launches a Rewards program

Rewards continue to be hot in the world of shopping, so the Monoprice website jumped on this bandwagon as well! They have launched their Preferred Rewards program that offers two type of benefits:

  1. volume pricing discount; the higher your reward tier, the more discounted units you can buy
  2. coupons twice a year; the higher the reward tier, the bigger the coupon discount

The reward tiers are determined by how much you spent at the Monoprice website the previous calendar year (1/1 through 12/31). Included in the qualifying amount are taxes and shipping fees.

It is a FREE rewards program – it should go without saying but a few times some merchants charge (hello AMEX), so I have to mention it 🙂

I don’t know when it first got discounted but this is the first time I’ve noticed it (keep in mind I’m operating at a snail’s pace here), the new condition Fuji X-T4 body only is currently going for $1549 at various reputable authorized Fuji dealers such as B&H Photo and Adorama and by various thru Amazon…

PS: as usual, when shopping at Amazon, be sure to pay attention who the actual seller(s) of a product are. I don’t repeat this every time because I’m assuming that most people shopping for camera gear know this by now. But you know what they say about assumptions!

For $5 per month you can get your prescriptions filled for select generic medications for common ailments, and you only pay $5 per month regardless of how many different participating prescriptions you need filled per month. Pentax Official Store Trade-In Offer for DSLRs

The official Pentax (okay Ricoh) online store is running a trade-in promotion until 3/31/23. You trade-in a DSLR, and you get trade-in credit towards the purchase of either the K-1 Mark II or the K-3 Mark III, in new condition, at the official Pentax-Ricoh online US store.

Non-Pentax DSLRs get a $100 trade-in credit regardless, while Pentax DSLRs range from $100 to $250 depending on the model you are trading in.

Needless to say, before you send in your camera for a trade-in at these fixed prices, be sure to check its going prices at used marketplaces such as KEH Camera, because you may get more if you sell it on your own. Depending on condition, demand, etc, etc, etc…
