Thrifty Tip: Estimate/Plan End Of Tax Year Business Purchases Now!
If you have a photography business or are self-employed, or have hobby income, depending on your tax situation, some or all of your camera-gear related purchases can help with your taxes, from Section 179 to standard depreciation, and all that. Don’t wait until the last week of December to do this! Start now! Do simulations on how your taxes will be impacted by business-related purchases this year and in the future, and plan accordingly. Likewise, look at your camera gear arsenal, what you need to get and replace in the short term, medium term and long term and see how it would fit into your financial planning.
