Lifetime VPN subscriptions for $40 (five devices) or $69 (unlimited)

If you have need of VPNs, and prefer lifetime subscriptions instead of annual, two of the top three Best Sellers at Stacksocial are lifetime subscription VPNs.

The VPN Unlimited service costs $40 for five devices (you can add/remove devices once a week). This is a lifetime membership. You don’t pay anything else after that. It supports Windows, Mac, iOS, Android, Linux, and Windows Phone too! Lifetime is defined as 100 years. The terms under “Specs” have this LOL:

“Lifetime’ subscription adds 100 years of unlimited access to VPN servers. KeepSolid will gladly extend this period by your request.”

On the other hand if you have a lot of devices and you like to upgrade and trade and switch phones and laptops and tablets often, the Windscribe VPN: Lifetime Pro Subscription costs $69 and you can have as many devices as you like. It supports Windows, OS X, Linux and iOS. Android app is “coming soon” per the specs. The lifetime must be renewed every ten years with a Support request. Was this VPN created by former DMV employees? πŸ™‚

Just Mobile ShutterGrip for smartphones for $30

If you want to have a shutter-button style camera button for your smartphone, and your smartphone is compatible with this new gadget, the Just Mobile Shuttergrip is now available for purchase for $30 at Stacksocial and at B&H Photo in your choice of black, blue or pink color scheme. The shutter function is over bluetooth, so keep that in mind (if you hate bluetooth or if you plan to use it in an area with so much interference that would mess with bluetooth connections).

You can find the list of compatible smartphones under “Specs” at Stacksocial and in the product description at B&H Photo. It includes many of the famous smartphones, including all iPhones from 5 and later, Google Pixels, Note 8, Galaxy S8* and S9*, Nokia 8 and 6, etc…

B&H expects to have it on March 29, while Stacksocial accepts orders now with delivery to your address of choice estimated between April 9-12. B&H offers free shipping. Stacksocial charges $3 shipping per Shuttergrip, but if you have any Stacksocial coupons, store credits and gift cards, they can make up for the shipping fee.

AmazonBasics Li-Ion Battery (replaces Nikon EN-EL5) for $8.65

Pixnor 1/4″ Screw Tripod Mini Ball Head for $6.36

The price is close enough but no cigar to be a $5 gadget, but it’s so close, it is $6.36 for the new condition Pixnor 1/4″ Screw Tripod Mini Ball Head. Free 2-day shipping for Prime members (you can get a $1 digital credit if you select slow shipping) or with a $25+ order. It is not an Add-On item (shhhhh! don’t tell the Amazon bots). Note that this is a small ballhead as the “mini” in its name suggests, picture #6 in the main Amazon gallery shows it with a Nikon DSLR. It averages 4 out of 5 based on 85 customer reviews. This is not a lightning deal.

Refurbished Garmin Virb XE Action Cam for $220

The Garmin Virb XE action camera is available in certified refurbished condition for $220 with free shipping, sold and shipped by “The GPS store” through Amazon. This is one of the lesser known Prime benefits. To figure this out, you have to look at the listing while logged on to your Amazon account. Visual cues in the annotated screenshot below:

Affinity Photo imaging software for $37.49 [Windows]

Adobe just had a record breaking quarter with over two billion dollars in revenue, but that’s not stopping them from raising prices for the Creative Cloud subscription (but not the Photographer Creative Cloud). If you have had enough of Adobe’s tactics and antics or you just want to check out alternative image processing software, the official Microsoft Store is offering the Windows version of “Affinity Photo” by Serif for $37.49. Their other software, “Affinity Designer” is also on sale for the same price. IF you have any Microsoft Store gift cards or Bing Rewards, don’t forget to use them! The sale runs for the next 13 days [as of the time of writing] per the product page.

Monoprice Clearance includes 77mm lens cap for $1.35

Monoprice is running a Spring Clearance Sale. The majority of the items under “Camera & Security” are security but if you need cables (of almost any kind) you will find many and more of them under the “Portable, Audio & Mobile” category. A number of cables and such are under $1. Of the camera and photo items, if you like 77mm center-pinch lens caps, they are on sale for $1.35 each and you can buy as many as you like.

Now the trick to getting a good out of these is to buy them together with something that is eligible for free standard US shipping. This will drop the overall shipping fee for the order or qualify you for faster regional-carrier delivery (if available in your area).

One such item is the new condition Monoprice 27-inch WQHD 2560x1440p computer monitor (TN-LED 144Hz Ultra Slim Aluminum with FreeSync Technology) going for $280 with free standard US shipping.

Canon Pixma MX492 AiO Printer for $20 w/FS [no ink] or $40 w/FS [with ink]

Groupon apparently began offering their own dedicated Daily Deals, and I just added this link to the “Daily Deals Links” in the Siderbar of this blog for your convenience (and to remind me to check daily)!

Among today’s Groupon daily deals is the new condition Canon Pixma MX492 AiO printer offered for $40 with free shipping and free returns. I don’t have my Groupon password memorized so I can’t check if coupon code SALE3 works on it. If it works, the price drops by 10%, making it $36, just above the $34.99 cut-off point for free shipping. This is part of the not-as-slow shipping (calling it faster would create allusions of Prime-like delivery), it ships in two business days instead of the default 7-10 business days. Ships, not delivered, in two business days after ordering! Key distinction here!

That’s if you want the printer as it comes in the retail box. If you already have inks for it or plan to buy them separately, you can get this printer without inks (no inks at all) for $20 with free shipping from discounter Tanga.com. And free returns.

Speaking of $20 shipped printers, still good is the new condition Canon PIXMA MG2522 All-in-One Inkjet Printer at Walmart by Walmart itself
