I am going through the Black Friday Ads and price-checking to see which cameras have already been price-matched by the internets. The Sony a5000 w/16-50mm is advertised for $350, and the internet has matched the price, but that’s not all, Adorama is bundling it with lots of free accessories including the Corel software bundle (Aftershot X2, PSP X8), Bag, SD, Filters, etc). The same price is at B&H Photo and Amazon itself but no freebies.
On the other hand, if you want to optimize for a lower price, you can get it in open-box condition for $298 at B&H Photo with a 1-year warranty from B&H (not Sony USA).
PS: while I’ll try to price-check as many things as I can, I won’t post individual alerts for every single one of them. But they will be added to the Black Friday Ads digest post.
Just like previous years, the internets have began price-matching (or rolling out) some of the Black Friday offers. In this case, it is the Sony a6000 two-lens kit (16-50, 55-210) going for $700 at Adorama (with lots of free accessories: Corel, Bag, SD, Filters, etc) and B&H Photo (4% rewards) and Amazon itself… The same price is also offered for the two lens kit with the 18-55 instead of the 16-50 lens but without any freebies (eg B&H Photo)…

For the big picture, check the just updated Stock Status Tracker. As speculated yesterday, Amazon too pushed their Olympus E-M1 II release estimate to December 12 instead of 2nd.
I just updated the Stock Status Tracker and it looks like the Olympus E-M1 II estimate is shifting deeper into December, it went from December 2 to 12 at two of the three retailers tracked. Amazon remains December 2nd but it’s possible that they haven’t updated their website with the new info yet, but Amazon is often slightly behind the specialty retailers in time-sensitive updates of this nature.
