Buy Olympus E-M1 body and a Zuiko Four Thirds Macro Prime (35/3.5 or 50/2), Get the MMF-3 Four Thirds Adapter for FREE

The GetOlympus store has an intermediate level deal going on right now. Especially of interest if you live at the intersection of M43rds and Four Thirds… The camera is M43, the lenses are Four Thirds below…

If you purchase the Olympus E-M1 body only (Micro Four Thirds) together with either one of these two Four Thirds Lenses (Zuiko 35mm f3.5 or 50mm f2 macro), and the MMF-3 Four Thirds adapter, the price of the MMF-3 adapter will be deducted from your total. Of interest if you use both M43 and Four Thirds or are happy to use the Zuiko prime with the MMF-3 adapter.

The steps are simple. Let’s break it down:

  1. Add the Olympus E-M1 body only (select color) to the shopping cart
  2. add either the Zuiko 35mm f3.5 macro (Four Thirds Lens) or the Zuiko 50mm f2 macro (Four Thirds Lens)
  3. add the MMF-3 Four Thirds adapter to the shopping cart
  4. click the yellow Proceed to Checkout button (page-down over there if you don’t see it)
  5. the price of the MMF-3 adapter ($179.99) will be deducted from your total
  6. no coupon/rebate – discount happens automatically while this promotion is running

Example
In the example below, we have in the shopping cart the E-M1 body only ($1100), the MMF-3 adapter ($180), and the 35mm f3.5 Zuiko ($230). Their total is $1510. Then the price of the MMF-3 is deducted from the total, making it $1330.

Canon EF-M Adapter for EF/EF-S Lenses (White Box) for $32

The Canon EF-M Lens Adapter Kit for Canon EF and EF-S Lenses, model 6098B002, is new condition as a White Box product, is offered for $32 by a couple of 3rd-party sellers with the order fulfilled by Amazon so it is eligible for free 2-day Prime shipping. Non-Prime members need an order of $35+ to get free shipping (three of these tiny AB camera cases will do it, currently $1.47 each).

White box is often used to describe situations when a lens or something else is removed from a kit or a bundle and sold separately. When a kit is significantly discounted, some retailers “break it” (aka the term “broken kit”), and sell, for example, the camera and lens separately for a slightly higher price.

PS: “broken kit” is a rather unfortunate term, how many consumers will get excited when they hear something they are about to buy described as “broken”? 🙂
