The Nikon D5300 body only currently goes for $600 at authorized dealers which are allowed to add some free accessories (eg Adorama) or you can get it for $490 manufacturer-refurbished at Adorama.

However, if you are willing to take on more risk, among the latest eBay Trending Deals, eBay seller “PhotoVideo4Less” (100%, Brooklyn) is offering the new condition imported grey-market Nikon D5300 body only for $360 with free shipping. There is no warranty on this, so it is a higher risk. Limit 50 per customer. Over 300 units got sold so far from this listing.

For many Canon fans, the 75-300mm lens being non-IS non-USM in the digital era sticks out like a sore thumb, but at that price, Canon will probably not offer an IS lens. But they have a new IS lens in this ballpark range, the new EF 70-300mm f4-5.6 IS II USM lens, available for pre-order for $550 at Amazon itself and Adorama and B&H Photo. These fly fast. As of 2:45pm ET, the listing from Amazon itself is now out of stock with a September 18, 2016 shipping estimate, but 3rd-party seller Murphy’s Camera (authorized dealer) has it in-stock for $3500 with a September 22-29 if you choose the standard shipping option (this is not Prime eligible, it ships directly from Murphy’s).

IF you had been waiting to get the Canon 5D Mark IV Body Only from Amazon itself, it has arrived. As of the time of writing it in-stock and ready to ship for $3500 with a limit of three per customer during these early release days.

Imported Canon 6D Body w/1yr seller warranty for $1100

Back to the eBay Deals, this time we have an imported grey-market new condition full frame DSLR with a 1-year warranty from the seller, not Canon USA. It is the imported Grey-market Canon 6D Body Only going for $1099 with free shipping with a limit of five per customer by eBay seller “Electronics Valley” (99.7%, New Jersey).

This goes for $1500 in new condition at authorized Canon dealers with a Canon USA warranty, but they are allowed to include some free accessories and rewards, such as Adorama (various bundles with free accessories) and B&H Photo.

Somewhere in-between in price is an open-box Canon 6D body only for $1269 with a 1-year Canon USA warranty but no free accessories at Adorama where it is back-ordered but you can place an order if you like the price.

The 6D is also participating in various Pixma PRO printer bundles that involve traditional mail-in rebates, so that’s another alternative if you need the printer and/or do not object to the mail-in rebate and AMEX gift card process.
