The shopping website that is Massdrop has launched their very own Black Friday sales. OF camera and photo interest, they are offering the new condition Fuji X-T2 body ohly for $880. You can optionally add the 18-55mm f2.8-4 R XF OIS LM lens for $320 more [$1200 total].
NOTE that there is no mention of warranty in the listing, so assume this is an imported/grey-market with no warranty. Orders will be shipped in mid-December 2018 from Massdrop. There’s no option for expedited shipping.
In comparison, in new condition at authorized dealers the X-T2 body only goes for $1100, such as B&H Photo and Adorama and Amazon. So that’s a difference of $220.
At the aforementioned places, the X-T2 with 18-55 kit goes for $1500, versus $1200 of Massdrop.
Black Friday Woot-OFF has began!
The promised Black Friday Woot-OFF has began at the Clearance/Sellout sub-Woot. The official run time of this BF Woot-off is 8am to 10pm central time. The usual terms apply, items change/rotate and you pay a flat shipping fee for everything you buy during the calendar day. If you are a Prime member, and login with your Prime Amazon account, you get free shipping on most things.
The only things that don’t get free shipping are items that are shipped outside the Woot/Amazon ecosystem, such as Shirts and Gourment. But even so, some of the Shirts/Gourmet items may have free shipping on their own on occasion.

Which brings us to the Canon D-Rebel T6 w/18-55 which sells for $399.99. As it is, it earns $105 in Kohls rewards. But if you add any filler item priced $0.01+, your total goes to $400+, thus you earn an additional $15 in Kohls rewards. Kohls sells a gazillion of things, including many small trinkets, so it shouldn’t be hard to find some little thing to add.
So for Kohls Rewards members, this is sort of like paying $280 for this DSLR kit ~ again, assuming you have no problem spending the Kohls rewards on things you want/need. Between rewards and coupons and special promotions, you can get some really good deals at Kohls – if you have the time/energy/interest to chase these things ~ the chances of which increase if you are reading this sentence!
PRO TIP: you can rinse and repeat this type of a promotion with any other camera of interest that is carried by Kohls. Kohls is no B&H, so selection is pretty limited, eg popular instant cameras, basic P&S, etc…
