Case Logic TBC-302 camera case for $3.19 w/free s&h for all {limit 3}

To average down the four figure prices of the all-new Zeiss Milvus lenses, we have the return of the “$5 Gadget”. For $3.19 with free shipping for all, you can get the black Case Logic TBC-302 camera case, sold and shipped by Amazon itself in frustration-free packaging (typically ships in sturdy cardboard box which you can re-use for other projects). You don’t have to be a Prime member to get free shipping on this one. Limit three per customer. Only this color scheme is on sale.

In yet another twist of the Amazon free shipping labyrinth, this is not eligible for Prime shipping benefits, even though it is sold and shipped by Amazon, and it ships for FREE. And it is not part of the Add-On program. Amazon needs to maintain a live flowchart to help us keep track of the various free shipping twists 🙂

Eagled-eyed readers may have noticed a familiarity with the case. Indeed, it looks very very similar to the previously mentioned AmazonBasics tiny case, which is now down to $1.80. This is part of the Add-On program, so you must place a $25+ order to buy it (regardless of Prime status). I don’t have the Case Logic version, but I have the AmazonBasics case, and it is very small (eg for small/thin P&S digital cameras; see earlier long post). At this rate, I will soon be launching the brand new “$5 Camera Case blog” 🙂

These have been added to the growing list of New Lenses in 2015 tracking page.

Canon MG2520 for $26 with free shipping

Okay, now that I have de-tangled my printer confusion (the 53% 1-star reviews is the MG2922), we have an actual deal, the Canon Pixma MG2520 in the white color scheme goes for just under $26 with free shipping but only for Prime members at Amazon by Amazon itself. If you are not a Prime member, it won’t let you buy it, unless you are willing to start a free 30-day Trial. This printer averages 3.8 out of 5 based on 300+ customer reviews, with 27% of them being 1-stars (41% are 5-stars). It has over 200 questions answered over there as well.

However, Amazon is not the center of the universe. You can also get it for $26 with free shipping at Best Buy or free Store pickup at Walmart (free S&H with $50+ order). At Walmart it averages 3.9 out of 5 based on 1600+ customer reviews and at Best Buy it averages 3.4 GeekSquads out of 5 based on just five customer reviews.

Deal to Avoid? Canon MG2922 for $30 shipped

The “Deals to Avoid” segment is making a comeback! This lovely Canon Pixma MG2922 printer is $30 with free shipping at various retailers (Amazon, etc) but it has a horror movie review profile.

At Amazon, it achieves the un-achievable, 53% of its reviews are 1-stars. And these are not old reviews, they come from throughout 2015.

CORRECTION: Google confused me by giving me the search results for a different model and I did not notice the different model number until after I posted it. This post is about the MG2922.

DJI Phantom 3 Standard Quadcopter drops to $700

The DJI Phantom 3 Standard Quadcopter with 3-Axis Gimbal and 2.7k Camera, with Remote Controller is now down to $700 with free expedited shipping at Adorama.

Speaking of Adorama, they now have in-stock the new Yuneec Typhoon Q500 G with Gimbal drone for the GoPro, going for $900 with free expedited shipping.

Speaking of droneography, dronographers in California are breathing a sigh of relief as the Governator vetoed a bill that would have banned flying above private property without permission.
