This Friday lightning deal expired… Good until 11:45pm ET (or earlier if sold out), the 256GB Transcend CompactFlash Memory Card 800x (TS256GCF800; price before sale $232) is on sale for $185.50 with free shipping by Amazon itself. Even the sale price has a “higher capacity premium”, the 128GB version goes for $90 (limit 10).
Tiny USB flash drives are all the more useful these days with USB OTG and smaller slimmer laptops, which brings us to Lexar’s answer to this genre, their 128GB Lexar JumpDrive S45 USB 3.0 Flash Drive, model LJDS45-128ABNL, going for $27 at Amazon by Amazon itself.
Transcend is in the game too, their 64GB Transcend Jetflash 710 USB 3.0, model TS64GJF710S, going for $24 at Amazon by Amazon itself in silver and slightly more in gold. The 32GB goes for $12.50, and the 16GB goes for $8. The gold color schemes cost slightly more.
